Lettuce old and brown
Courtney R.

First off, I was unable to place an online order for pickup for some strange reason so I had to take the extra step in coming in which was an inconvenience. I mentioned it to the chic at the register who was really nice and she acted surprised. She told who I presumed to be the manager on duty and said she turned it off. I asked why. She said they were having technical difficulties which seemed like a lie because the DoorDash orders were still functioning fine. The lettuce was old, brown and wilted. I wouldn't even be commenting if my lettuce was fresh. Anyway, the so called manager may need to work on her attitude because she was not pleasant and looked irritated. If you hate the job, find a new one. It's that simple. I won't return to this location since she turns the online service on and off. Get it fixed and do better! I shouldn't have to check to see if the lettuce is fresh before I leave a healthy food spot. It's annoying.

I've been here twice in one week! I'm obsessed with this place. The chicken is so flavorful and the staff is super friendly. I had the queso verde queso. I'm already thinking about when ima come back l

Chipotle Mango Avocado 1/2 and 1/2
Kyle P.

I stopped here with my son to grab a quick lunch. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were nice enough to give samples , so I went with the Chipotle Mango Avocado bowl. It had a good flavor, and was very fresh, but $11 00 for the amount you were served was not worth it.

found a bug in my bowl, showed the manager Misty, she said it must be the lettuce and didn't say sorry or anything. refunded my money and then continued to serve the next person in line. I said aren't you going to at least change out the lettuce? she looked annoyed and then went to go change it. Her name is Misty and it was disgusting that she really didn't care much. she really cares about the tip part before you get the food. Never going back

Sweet Soy Sriracha salad with spicy chicken, chips, and desserts

I've ordered several times from here and absolutely love their spicy chicken salad and their chips are amazing. Definitely one of the best salad options for lunch or dinner around here.

I had gusto for the 1st time yesterday & was met with a very pleasant host & cashier. However, the food servers were ear hustling in the background with smirks on their faces, which was weird. Nonetheless I got my food & was very disappointed in the portion amount for the veggies & protein. 4 oz of diced chicken that was almost inedible because it was hard & wasn't the full 4 oz & they were VERY STINGY with the veggies, I counted 2 tomatoes & 2 cucumbers, 4 slices of onions, a few beans scattered & some artichoke leaves... not worth it & flavor wasn't there at all. Spicy chicken, should be spicy & I opted out of going to chipotle to give y'all a try. The best thing I ate was the bbq sweet potato chips! I should've gotten 2 bags!! Pls do better.

Stumbled upon this new establishment in west midtown area and found this chain. It was my first time and that was made clear by one of the restaurant staff when they then proceeded to clearly explain the menu options to me (which was highly appreciated). All the workers were wearing masks, gloves, and clear seating (outdoor and back seating only) were marked. Ps- restrooms are closed to public for safety measures. Ambience: music was a little on the loud side but restaurant was clean, great lighting with plenty of seating and easy access to utensils/condiments. Food: we got two packaged bowls which were very good (see pics below). The chipotle mango Avocado was not too creamy and went well with the corn/rice/lettuce and chicken. It was pleasantly surprising to see that they used actual brown rice! The spicy chicken was well seasoned but the chunks were pretty large and had to be cut up to divide up into every bite. Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke was very fresh, had slight sweetness that balanced well with the chicken. The tzatziki sauce was light and went well. The sweet potato chips were a nice (included) side dish and we enjoyed using leftover mango sauce as a dip. Price: $9.95-$11 (total of $25 or so including tip). A little on the higher end compared to what we ate. Overall, very impressed with this clean restaurant and chain. We will be back as we are curious about the other flavors offered. Well done !!

UP close shot of the buggy bowl, how could an employee miss this?

Unclean restaurant, employees and managers. we went here for lunch, and I was given a BUGGY BOWL, disgusting. The bathroom needed much attention and there were over 7 employees I could see from the line, many just talking and starring. I brought it the shift lead (JAY), female who didn't find a problem with it, she asked if I wanted them to remake my bowl, uh, no, thanks. This restaurant needs a DEEP CLEANING. JAY stated the owner is an NFL player.

Ginger Lime Peanut salad and Sweet Potato Chips
Ashlee J.

The Short: Flavorful and hearty combinations at a great price point! The Long: Similar to Cava and Chipotle, you're able to choose your base of greens and/or rice. You can then select your protein and one of the popular combinations of toppings. I got the GINGER LIME PEANUT salad with grilled chicken. The portion was good. The mixed greens were fresh and the dressing pretty nicely balanced. I loved the peanuts, carrots, cucumbers on top but will say those toppings weren't as fresh as the mixed greens. They seemed a couple days old based on how wilted/soggy they were. My salad came with sweet potato chips which were tasty, greasy/heavily salted. I'll definitely be back and will try another combo with the hopes of fresher toppings.

I'm definitely a fan of gusto! We need more quick and healthy eating options like this. Generally speaking (across locations), I think the food has improved. It's always tasted good to me, but now I find it to be even better. I've been a fan of the original location on Peachtree since early 2015 (they opened late 2014). It's about an 8-minute drive from my home. I may never go to that location again now that this location in West Midtown has opened. This one is only about a 3-minute drive away for me. The one advantage the Peachtree location has over this one is seating. This location is narrow and tiny. There are no tables -- only countertops with backless cushioned stools against the wall. So, this isn't a good place for groups, but I think it's fine otherwise. This location opened on January 15, 2019 in West Midtown Center, the new development at the corner of Northside and 17th that houses other restaurant chains like Chipotle, Dunkin' Donuts, McAlister's Deli, and Zaxby's. This is the 4th location overall for gusto! after their Peachtree, Ponce, and Decatur locations. The restaurant has a simple, clean, modern, and open design. The setup is fast-casual with self-serve fountain drinks (Coca-Cola Freestyle), eating utensils, napkins, etc. This place is great for takeout. The shopping center has ample parking and the restaurant has two entrances, one facing 17th St and the other facing Bishop St. The menu is streamlined with (at the time of writing this review) only 6 options that can be customized as bowls or wraps; with mixed greens, brown rice, or both; and with different kinds of protein. You can also add avocado. A pre-sealed bag of the company's sweet potato chips are included with every meal (they cook and scoop them fresh for you at other locations). Prices are $9.15 for grilled chicken (spicy chicken also an option), $9.95 for grilled portabella mushroom, $11.95 for grilled shrimp, and an additional $1.50 if you want to add half an avocado to your order. The flavor/ingredient combinations are: 1. Tahini Cucumber Feta 2. Chile Sesame BBQ 3. Ginger Lime Peanut 4. Chipotle Mango Avocado 5. Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke 6. Sweet Soy Sriracha So far at this location, I've tried the Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke and the Sweet Soy Sriracha. I had the Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke in a bowl with 50/50 salad/rice mix, grilled chicken, and an avocado ($9.15 + $1.50 = $10.65). I had the Sweet Soy Sriracha in a bowl with 50/50 salad/rice mix, spicy grilled chicken, and an avocado ($9.15 + $1.50 = $10.65). Both bowls looked beautiful, tasted fresh and delicious, and really hit the spot. The Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke, a Mediterranean-tasting bowl, came with couscous, baby kale, artichoke, and grape tomato salad tossed in lemon vinaigrette with sweet pickled onions and avocado on top and tzatziki sauce on the side. I thought this was a wonderful, zesty combination of ingredients. I was seeking something relatively light yet still filling and satisfying and this one fit the bill. The Sweet Soy Sriracha, an Asian-tasting bowl, came with snow peas, grape tomatoes, purple cabbage, and carrot salad tossed in Sriracha ginger dressing with scallions and avocado on top and sweet Japanese soy sauce on the side. This bowl packed a punch in terms of flavor. Unlike the aforementioned tzatziki sauce, the soy sauce was quite rich (a little went a long way). This bowl was a blend of sweet and savory flavors. It looked and tasted like healthy and higher quality Americanized Chinese food (if that makes any sense). The chicken in both bowls was good quality, tender, and tasty. The sweet potato chips are A-OK. My only knock on gusto! is I think the portion sizes could be bigger, so bigger eaters may not like the quantities of food served here compared to a place like Chipotle. However, I do think the serving sizes are adequate, healthy, and fair for the price paid considering it's comparatively better quality and healthier food. I think this place is a nice alternative to Upbeet which is about 5 minutes away (driving). The staff at this location has been really friendly and upbeat, including Steve, this location's "local operating partner." They're the nicest bunch of employees I've run into at this new shopping center. gusto! uses the Square POS (point of sale) system so you can have receipts automatically emailed to you. It would be nice if they had a rewards program where if you buy 10 bowls/wraps, you get 1 free. You hear me, Nate Hybl?

My new favorite chips!

Recently opened up in my work area. The food and staff is Amazing. When I arrived, the cashier was very friendly and took the time out to show me the menu and offer up some of her favorites. I ordered the chipotle shrimp bowl with rice and got a drink to go. She even gave me a few coupons to take back to my job to hand out to co-workers. The atmosphere at this location is really laid back and everything is really clean and nice. The location is in a really good area with lots of parking space! The food itself was so bomb. It was almost like a twist on chipotle but with much more flavor. Chipotle is actually only 2 doors down so I'm curious to know whether it's absorbed some of its business. I will definitely be retuning !

Direct contamination... Nothing to explain, just observe!

I ordered food but when I arrived a team member was standing in the door with his "food safe" gloves on while chatting on the phone. This is what I call "magic gloves"- my hands are clean so I can touch anything while handling food as long as I have on my magic gloves. And we wonder how COVID or the flu spread so quickly?? I'll head to the grocery store and cook for myself... No thanks!

The service is Terribly slow and is not on a first come first serve basis. If you have a large order, they will prioritize you last.

The chicken was alright, but I wouldn't say it was the best I ever had, let alone consider it the world's best. This joint is located in the lower hub, but I believe there's also an outside street entrance. Upon entering, we were told to sit anywhere. The interior is rather dim, and it wasn't super clean as there were still some crumbs on our table from the last people who dined there. There is also a very casual feel to the place, exemplified by the fact that food is served on styrofoam plates and paper trays. FOOD: 2-Piece Dark (Thigh & Leg) (4/5) - Chicken was nice and crispy, but nothing crazy special to me. I was expecting it to be spicier. Liked it more with the Louisiana hot sauce on the table. The chicken rests on a slab of white bread and is served with average slaw and sweet baked beans. Fried Okra (3.5/5) - First time having fried okra. Not bad, and I guess frying it eliminates the slimy texture associated with okra. SERVICE: I am not usually one to complain about service. The person who served us was sweet when we did interact, but it was so hard to get their attention to order and get the bill. But beyond that, the kitchen was noticeably SLOW. My brother and I literally only ordered one plate/portion to share since we wanted to try more places, but it took over half an hour to receive our food. They do emphasize that food is cooked to order, but I still found the wait to be baffling. TLDR// Come here or don't, but if you do, make sure you are not on a time crunch. Maybe I am just being harsh because I was expecting more from a place claiming to have the world's best.

I started my last Yelp review in 2016 of the famed Varsity in Atlanta by saying "What can you say…read moreabout an Atlanta institution that has been in business for more than nine decades?" The answer now, as then, is "What'll ya have?"? Of course you have to get a couple of hot dogs with chili and cole slaw, with a side of fresh chopped onions and some mustard to add to the heart burn. Some onion rings, and a Frosted Orange (ust get one, it's big enough to share with your spouse or sweetheart.) The Varsity claims to be the largest drive-in in the country, if not the world. Maybe it is. It covers two city blocks, seats 800 inside and has space for hundreds of cars. It now has eight locations around Georgia, some of them spic 'n span new, but my heart will always be on North Street in Atlanta, where the restaurant had its start in 1928. Some things have changed. Prices are up. The people that take your order seem a little more patient. And no longer are there special lines for women (and the Athens location, now closed} doesn't have to 'splain anymore why women aren't allowed inside.

You'll need to add some salt, but they're not bad. The rest of the food was awful. AWFUL. The frozen orange tastes like medicine. The chili dog was overcooked. And the chili hamburger is an abomination that should not exist. Think a combination of a crappy hamburger and the worst sloppy joe you've ever had. I just assume this place has to be trading off a nostalgia. The service was slow to the point of indifferent. Many of the tables are dirty. But, it's huge enough that you'll probably be able to find a clean table. What'll ya have? How about some syrup of ipecac.

If i did, I would be some bad ass grandpa still reviewing on Yelp at 118. This taco place named after a car is rather divisive from a review standpoint. On Google, crazy rave reviews, but on Yelp, mediocre would be an accurate description. By the time I ordered the food which was 9pm in the evening, I was just super hangry. Aside from an early breakfast, all I had all day was a donut and an ice latte. So whatever food that comes my way should be super delicious, right? The takeout took awhile to come. And the flavours were lacklustre and unauthentic. The first tell would be the tortilla. They were definitely store bought and were not corn tortillas. They were also a bit dry and hard. I had the grilled mahi mahi. The fish was ok, but overcooked. The biggest problem was the lack of sauce. Adding some salsa would have been nice. They were also very lazy with the avocado. They just put a wedge at the top of the taco filling. So every time i held onto it to take a bite, the avocado pops out. The other taco was the low country boil which is essentially a grilled shrimp taco. A lot of the taco does not match the menu description. They were supposed to use a spicy ranch sauce, but it felt like a really weak ranch with zero spiciness. They loaded up the taco with corn, but most of the other stuff including peppers and tater tots are not noticeable. Tim Lizzy is to me one of a very long list of tourist traps in the downtown Atlanta area. I wouldn't waste my time and money here.
