You order at the counter, walk around to the next counter to pay, and then wait a few minutes to get your food, but it's always quick. I am a Gusto! Rewards member, so I usually get a free soda while I wait for my food. I got the barbecue chicken over half rice, half lettuce, and their barbecue sweet potato chips with a side of queso. Can't remember the last time I had gusto but was happy to see this on my way back from Atlanta. I stopped by around 12:30, and was first in line. I went with the queso verde queso with tofu and half rice and half greens along with the BBQ chips. I got my order pretty quickly and really liked it! It was super filling and I appreciated the queso being in a cup on the side so my dish didn't get soggy or cold. The tofu was flavorful and went well with the queso and veggies in the bowl. I also really liked the chips since it had a bit of a kick and wasn't too sweet. I think most people grab and go but there is some seating towards the back. First off, I was unable to place an online order for pickup for some strange reason so I had to take the extra step in coming in which was an inconvenience. I mentioned it to the chic at the register who was really nice and she acted surprised. She told who I presumed to be the manager on duty and said she turned it off. I asked why. She said they were having technical difficulties which seemed like a lie because the DoorDash orders were still functioning fine. The lettuce was old, brown and wilted. I wouldn't even be commenting if my lettuce was fresh. Anyway, the so called manager may need to work on her attitude because she was not pleasant and looked irritated. If you hate the job, find a new one. It's that simple. I won't return to this location since she turns the online service on and off. Get it fixed and do better! Stumbled upon this new establishment in west midtown area and found this chain. It was my first time and that was made clear by one of the restaurant staff when they then proceeded to clearly explain the menu options to me (which was highly appreciated). All the workers were wearing masks, gloves, and clear seating (outdoor and back seating only) were marked. Ps- restrooms are closed to public for safety measures. Ambience: music was a little on the loud side but restaurant was clean, great lighting with plenty of seating and easy access to utensils/condiments. Food: we got two packaged bowls which were very good (see pics below). The chipotle mango Avocado was not too creamy and went well with the corn/rice/lettuce and chicken. It was pleasantly surprising to see that they used actual brown rice! The spicy chicken was well seasoned but the chunks were pretty large and had to be cut up to divide up into every bite. Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke was very fresh, had slight sweetness that balanced well with the chicken. The tzatziki sauce was light and went well. The sweet potato chips were a nice (included) side dish and we enjoyed using leftover mango sauce as a dip. Price: $9.95-$11 (total of $25 or so including tip). A little on the higher end compared to what we ate. Overall, very impressed with this clean restaurant and chain. We will be back as we are curious about the other flavors offered. I had gusto for the 1st time yesterday & was met with a very pleasant host & cashier. However, the food servers were ear hustling in the background with smirks on their faces, which was weird. Nonetheless I got my food & was very disappointed in the portion amount for the veggies & protein. 4 oz of diced chicken that was almost inedible because it was hard & wasn't the full 4 oz & they were VERY STINGY with the veggies, I counted 2 tomatoes & 2 cucumbers, 4 slices of onions, a few beans scattered & some artichoke leaves... not worth it & flavor wasn't there at all. The Short: Flavorful and hearty combinations at a great price point! The Long: Similar to Cava and Chipotle, you're able to choose your base of greens and/or rice. You can then select your protein and one of the popular combinations of toppings. I got the GINGER LIME PEANUT salad with grilled chicken. The portion was good. The mixed greens were fresh and the dressing pretty nicely balanced. I loved the peanuts, carrots, cucumbers on top but will say those toppings weren't as fresh as the mixed greens. They seemed a couple days old based on how wilted/soggy they were. My salad came with sweet potato chips which were tasty, greasy/heavily salted. I'm definitely a fan of gusto! We need more quick and healthy eating options like this. Generally speaking (across locations), I think the food has improved. It's always tasted good to me, but now I find it to be even better. I've been a fan of the original location on Peachtree since early 2015 (they opened late 2014). It's about an 8-minute drive from my home. I may never go to that location again now that this location in West Midtown has opened. This one is only about a 3-minute drive away for me. The one advantage the Peachtree location has over this one is seating. This location is narrow and tiny. There are no tables -- only countertops with backless cushioned stools against the wall. So, this isn't a good place for groups, but I think it's fine otherwise. This location opened on January 15, 2019 in West Midtown Center, the new development at the corner of Northside and 17th that houses other restaurant chains like Chipotle, Dunkin' Donuts, McAlister's Deli, and Zaxby's. This is the 4th location overall for gusto! after their Peachtree, Ponce, and Decatur locations. The restaurant has a simple, clean, modern, and open design. The setup is fast-casual with self-serve fountain drinks (Coca-Cola Freestyle), eating utensils, napkins, etc. This place is great for takeout. The shopping center has ample parking and the restaurant has two entrances, one facing 17th St and the other facing Bishop St. The menu is streamlined with (at the time of writing this review) only 6 options that can be customized as bowls or wraps; with mixed greens, brown rice, or both; and with different kinds of protein. You can also add avocado. A pre-sealed bag of the company's sweet potato chips are included with every meal (they cook and scoop them fresh for you at other locations). Prices are $9.15 for grilled chicken (spicy chicken also an option), $9.95 for grilled portabella mushroom, $11.95 for grilled shrimp, and an additional $1.50 if you want to add half an avocado to your order. The flavor/ingredient combinations are: 1. Tahini Cucumber Feta 2. Chile Sesame BBQ 3. Ginger Lime Peanut 4. Chipotle Mango Avocado 5. Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke 6. Sweet Soy Sriracha So far at this location, I've tried the Tzatziki Lemon Artichoke and the Sweet Soy Sriracha. Both bowls looked beautiful, tasted fresh and delicious, and really hit the spot. I thought this was a wonderful, zesty combination of ingredients. I was seeking something relatively light yet still filling and satisfying and this one fit the bill. The Sweet Soy Sriracha, an Asian-tasting bowl, came with snow peas, grape tomatoes, purple cabbage, and carrot salad tossed in Sriracha ginger dressing with scallions and avocado on top and sweet Japanese soy sauce on the side. This bowl packed a punch in terms of flavor. Unlike the aforementioned tzatziki sauce, the soy sauce was quite rich (a little went a long way). This bowl was a blend of sweet and savory flavors. It looked and tasted like healthy and higher quality Americanized Chinese food (if that makes any sense). The chicken in both bowls was good quality, tender, and tasty. The sweet potato chips are A-OK. My only knock on gusto! is I think the portion sizes could be bigger, so bigger eaters may not like the quantities of food served here compared to a place like Chipotle. However, I do think the serving sizes are adequate, healthy, and fair for the price paid considering it's comparatively better quality and healthier food. I think this place is a nice alternative to Upbeet which is about 5 minutes away (driving). The staff at this location has been really friendly and upbeat, including Steve, this location's "local operating partner." They're the nicest bunch of employees I've run into at this new shopping center. gusto! uses the Square POS (point of sale) system so you can have receipts automatically emailed to you. Recently opened up in my work area. The food and staff is Amazing. When I arrived, the cashier was very friendly and took the time out to show me the menu and offer up some of her favorites. I ordered the chipotle shrimp bowl with rice and got a drink to go. She even gave me a few coupons to take back to my job to hand out to co-workers. The atmosphere at this location is really laid back and everything is really clean and nice. The location is in a really good area with lots of parking space! The food itself was so bomb. It was almost like a twist on chipotle but with much more flavor. Chipotle is actually only 2 doors down so I'm curious to know whether it's absorbed some of its business. This location is in a new strip mall type development by IKEA with several other restaurants. I've been to other locations before and have had it catered to my workplace and it's been consistently good. This time I split the chipotle mango and tzatziki lemon artichoke with my wife. Both were really flavorful with good portions especially combined with the bag of sweet potato chips included in the meal. Overall, it's enough to give you a solid meal without feeling overstuffed. For those who have never been the food / concept itself is based on 6 types of bowls based on Latino, Asian, and European flavors. You get some options when building your bowl (rice vs. lettuce vs. mixed, proteins, etc.) but overall everything is pretty set. Bowls come standard with a side of chips. Usually I'm not a huge fan of the bowl trend, but I think gusto! does an excellent job. They use high quality ingredients in their food, which really shines through and they utilize various flavor profiles without watering them down. Only "complaint" would be the food is somewhat pricey at ~$10 a bowl / chip set. That being said spending that amount feels ok to me as it really feels like I'm getting excellent quality food for what I pay for. This location is pretty tight on space, but when we went it was empty due to Covid. The staff was very friendly and did a great job completing our order quickly. I enjoy Gusto and have visited each of their locations. I'm never disappointed by the service or the meal. The reason I'm not giving this review 5 stars is because this location is slightly different from the other locations. Now different is good, but these differences stood out in a not so great way. First those bomb ass sweet potato chips -unless something has changed since I've been to the other locations, West Midtown is the only location to have the pre-packaged. Great idea, but the chips taste just like the material of the bag - eh. Additionally, this location seems to be maybe the smallest in size. There is bar style seating along the walls and a few seats outside. There didn't seem to be room for any floor seats. I chose to sit in a very awkward place, with my back towards the cash register, so there was a lot of traffic behind me with people paying and waiting around for their meals. Other than that, everything else was great. Staff was awesome and the music is always on point! Oh and the one thing that did stand out (in a much better way) is the awesome west-side view of the city! read more

From the front door you'll see bar seating along the wall to your right and it goes all the way to the back. If you're looking to sit and eat but it seems full, go past the bathroom towards the back exit and you'll find a few more seats. I love the fun neon on the wall that says "do it with gusto" and the mural on the back wall of wings. They definitely showcase the personality of the fun brand. I hadn't visited a gusto! in a while and was reminded how great the staff is (apparently) at all locations. I was greeting immediately and the bubbly team member was offering me assistance in decided what bowl to get. First you choose your gusto or sauce including fun flavors like chipotle mango avocado and ginger lime peanut to name a few. You choose a protein and they have vegetarian options. You can get everything in a wrap or a bowl filled with rice, salad or half and half. I decided on the sweet soy sriracha with spicy grilled chicken in a half/half bowl. It was delicious! Love love love gusto! It's basically a healthier (and in my opinion tastier) version of Chipotle. I really like how you can get half greens half rice - that way you can still get the heartiness from the rice but the healthiness of the greens. Also the spicy siracha sauce is so addiciting - it goes well with the chicken and serves as a great salad dressing for the greens as well. FYI - both the spicy siracha sauce and the spicy chicken are not spicy at all. The sweet potato chips that come with the bowls are also amazing - they make them in house and you can just taste the love they put into it. read more

We live less than half a mile away so we have been to this location a few times. It is smaller that the location off Ponce. it is set up more like a quick order and go situation. There is outside seating available and bar style seating against the wall. The food is really good I do not eat meat so I add the mushroom tofu that they have and it is always good. Service is fast. I even noticed there was a newer guy still learning but the others definitely supported him so the service was not interrupted.
