Hadn't really heard of Gusti D'Italia but it came up as a deal on 5pm and who doesn't like a deal, especially when booking for 6. The restaurant was reasonably quiet but the atmosphere was nice with some music playing in the background. We were welcomed immediately, sat at table and the menu given. There was a good choice on the menu with something to suit everyone. £12.95 for two including a glass of house wine was great value for money. As four of us were driving, the waiter offered the other ladies the other glasses which I thought was a nice touch. I have been at restaurants where if someone didn't take the wine it wasn't offered.
Our starters of Minestrone Soup, Mussels, Breaded Mushrooms and King Prawns in Spicy Tomato Sauce were lovely as were our mains of Lasagne, Pollo Milanese (breaded Chicken), Pollo Strogonoff and sliced Fillet Steak Risotto. It was obvious the food had been freshly made.
After our 2 courses, two decided to have a sweet, Raspberry Rippler which looked good enough to eat and obviously was.
We will certainly be back read more
