I decided to stop in today because…read moreI'd seen some really cute TJ Maxx finds on social media, I'm really glad that I gave them another chance. Turns out, I've been sleeping on TJ Maxx! The store was clean and organized. It was definitely giving me all of the joyful shopping experience that I get at a Home Goods store but with clothes, accessories and beauty finds. I'm definitely going to add this to my favorite places to shop list. If you've got time to browse, you should definitely check it out.

I've been shopping this mall for years and it's a mixed experience for sure. It's painfully large for one thing, you need to plan ahead. If you think you want to just walk around the mall to shop... wear good shoes because it's a trek. I recommend driving to different sections to take some of the burden off yourself. Selection varies constantly. They keep a few outlet stores I like but a lot of stores I enjoyed simply came and went. There are more high priced shirt stores than any one mall needs, I'll say that. Service varies by store so quite a bit. I like the vans store, always helpful staff in there. This mall still has a rainforest cafe! Pure nostalgia and a good place to take kids. There's really plenty to eat here, and plenty to eat adjacent as well. They've got some movie screens and though they aren't the cleanest they do get some fun exclusive events too. This mall has its ups and downs for sure. It can be kind of magical to shop here during holiday time but the rest of the year you definitely should have a specific destination in mind.

And, for certain, we were the only ones in the Levis store. What made our store visit a win, was the fact that the jeans were well organized in racks that went all the way up to the ceiling. I am a very impatient shopper, so I really appreciated that the skinny jeans section was all in order by the correct size to avoid from digging. Everything was stacked to perfection and folded just right so the size was peeking out. To our advantage, the dressing rooms were open. My son is very picky and on the skinny tall side, so he really needed to try on his pants. The kid working there was extremely kind and helpful and offered to get him every style that he wanted. The store was spotless and well organized. There were hand sanitizer stations and random hand sanitizer bottles everywhere. They had plexi shields at the cash register. We felt very safe. Great prices and a nice sales rack! Side note: After all that, when we got home my son decided he wants to go back and exchange the pants for a different style. Ugh...teenagers! I'm putting my hubby in charge for that transaction :-)

So I saw this place pop up in my FB feed somehow and was curious and decided to check it out on one…read moreof the $1 Wednesday days. Everything is $1 in the bins and there's a VIP section where everything was $20 which had some furniture and appliances. Some of the bins were still labeled $3 which was confusing but I think they were actually $1. I left with and armful of things and paid ~$9. Some things were well worth the $1, some were not. Apparently on the different days they charge a different price and have more valuable merchandise out. They have a no opening box rule but I don't think anyone abides by it because it seemed like they also had a no return rule. They have a limited amount of shopping carts available, it does get pretty packed and is difficult to move around especially with a shopping cart. I definitely saw people working in teams to load up their carts. The line gets pretty long too and sort of snakes through the bins so I sort of did a walkthrough and picked up some stuff and then waited in line and also did some more deep diving while waiting (would have been helpful to have someone in line while another did the diving). Was it worth the 40 minute drive? No, definitely not. Maybe if you're looking for the more expensive electronics, come on one of the pricier days, and from what I've read come super early then maybe. Definitely don't come if you hate crowds.
