They are a favorite place to stop on First Fridays, when I can hardly get in the door! And the stream of new and fun fashions and accessories is non-stop. Service is friendly and personal, too. Still one of my favorite stops. This is like shopping in a dear friend's great closet. Although the store is tiny, the variety always surprises me, and the service can't be beat. I find interesting items I find nowhere else, and while their prices are consistent with other stores, their sale items make them more affordable. There is even a comfortable place to sit! I have purchased tops, purses, outerwear, scarves, jewelry, and other items. Easy to miss since it is north of Casa Bonita and before the train tracks, up a couple of stairs. But with such a uniquely-vintage location and terrific items and service, it is worth the extra steps. Easy parking right in front, or in the copious parking lots around the corner on Lake Street. No I do not work for them - I am just a huge fan and want to be sure they stay in town!

I like to buy a coffee and wander the aisles. Great place to find gifts: candles, delicious food stuffs, beautiful jewelry & a wonderful women's new clothing boutique. If you can't find what you're looking for, they have a book @ front desk where you can request items, they'll take your name and number, & let their dealers know customers are looking for certain things. The prices are reasonable if you stay away from name brands like Nike, and if you shop clearance and sale items you can really get some bargains. Using Kohl's cash helps too, it's basically free money you earn for buying the stuff you already wanted! Yes, it's a ploy to get you back in the store, but a free shirt is a free shirt. The staff has always been helpful and friendly, I've had them look in the back for my size multiple times and never had an issue. I have had a few instances of security tags left on items, but they were apologetic about it when I returned to have them safely removed (although they clearly dont work if I can get home without an alarm going off). The dressing rooms could use more frequent tidying, but it's also the customers not properly removing their items that contributes to that problem. Everything said it's a solid shopping experience. They won't beat Walmart price wise but, I'd rather have an 8 dollar shirt that fits comfortably than a 5 dollar shirt that won't breath and shrinks up on me after one wash.

I ordered a dress for my son's wedding 3 1/2 months before the wedding; 3 1/2 days before the event…read moreI still did not have a dress that fit me properly. The date the dress was promised by salesgirl Dawn came and went without hearing from the shop. I called and was told the dress would be here the next week. I had to call again the next week and the dress still wasn't in. I expressed concern that it was getting very close to the wedding and was told not to worry. The dress finally came in the next week in the wrong color and the wrong size. The staff talked to the manufacturer and told me the right dress would be in the next week. I was given a FedEx tracking number and when I used it got a message that there was no such number. Called the store and oops, sorry, they meant DHL. Dress finally came in in the right color but two sizes too big. Alterations were begun, 10 days before the wedding. I went for a fitting and found a bill attached to the dress for more than $300 in alteration charges. The shop owner, Ellen Stirling, told me she would give me 20% off of alterations because of all the aggravation I had been caused. I told her that was not acceptable because if the dress had come in in the right size I would not need all that work. She refused to take off the charges saying even if it was the right size it would need "tweaking." Went back for second round of alterations and hem and the dress finally looked good. Went back again to pick it up after the hem was done, tried it on and the bodice, which had been fine the fitting before, was puckered. The seamstress made three more attempts to fix it and still couldn't get it right. I finally had no choice but to take it as it was as the wedding was in 3 1/2 days. Dawn blew incredible smoke at me telling me it looked perfect, awesome, etc. as if I wouldn't notice the flaws if she kept throwing around insincere compliments. This dress was very expensive and I certainly expected better service than what I got. No one kept track of the original order, the staff did not realize the wrong color had come in, the owner never apologized and did not come to my final fitting to see how it turned out even while knowing how upset I was. I would never shop there again.

They had a fairly large selection of shoes for women with enormous feet (me) when I stopped in, and I ended up buying a couple pair. I was really surprised to find a pair of ankle boots on clearance for $17-18--if only they had fit! Lots of what they had (at this time anyway) were heels or wedges which I don't mess with but I found a couple pairs of work-appropriate flats that I could also wear fairly comfortably with a dress if I want. I haven't seen Clarks in Nordstrom Rack in some time, which is a bummer since they're my favorites (so comfy!!), but I'll keep looking. Lots of parking here since it's part of a shopping center.
