In June, when Mom needed a better sleep surface, their insurance expert Kellie spent ten minutes walking me through the complex Medicare rules about what kind of mattress or pad Mom could qualify for. In the end, she recommended that we purchase a highly rated and economical pad via Amazon, because Mom didn't qualify for insurance coverage on the items sold at the Superstore. Kellie saved a ton of time for me (and my Mom's doctors) that we would have spent trying (and failing) to get a mattress approved through Medicare. She also saved us time and money by pointing us to a good pad at Amazon (that the Superstore didn't sell). Afterward, one of Kellie's colleagues talked me through the process of taking wheels off the hospital bed so it would be shorter and better for my 4'6" Mom. My primary care doctor referred me for a sleep apnea test. The registered sleep staff was so professional, the clinic was extra nice and clean. So much attention to detail - I was so comfortable. I always wondered how many times I stopped breathing during the night and the Feeling Great Sleep Medical Center doctors had my results to me in three days after my study - such a FAST turn around time. My apnea case was so severe. I discussed my case with both my doctor and the sleep doctor at sleep center and both of them explained how my apnea was affecting my blood pressure, my heart and putting me at a high risk of stroke or heart attack due to the high risk of blood clots. I was prescribed a CPAP machine. I started using my CPAP machine and within two weeks, my blood pressure was improving. My daytime sleepiness was improving - it was MAGIC.
