The issue is the contacting them, because there simply is no contacting them. They've implemented a new AI, it does not work and in the past 2 hours I've gotten nowhere and wasn't able to speak to anyone, and now I am not sure if I will be able to get my necessary meds. The front desk staff was extremely disorganized and neglected their duties, severely impacting my health (again issues with getting meds and reffreals out to me/my pharmacy/other Doctor's offices), but this is far worse. I have choosen to take my care elsewhere, I feel very failed. They can not even put a real person on the phone. If you can get in the care is good, but it's impossible to access.

She did not take my concerns very seriously as stated. I was called simply to be insulted and informed that I was lying, as patients are always informed of this late cancellation policy. This is the WORST neurologist office I have ever been to, I'll go elsewhere! Please please read negative reviews before making your decision. You'll see a pattern. After having a great experience during my ER visit, at Menorah hospital I put trust in who they referred. My first experience with Johnson County Neurologist was the scheduling. The wait time I was given was over a month even though I stated ER needed me to be seen in 2 days. Glad I didn't die waiting for my appointment. (SMH) This is the same amount of time a patient is given without any ER visit. My second experience was with the neurologist herself, Dr. Younger, who did nothing more than what the hospital had done over a month before with the addition of scheduling a MRI, blood & Nerve test. She's the furthest thing from empathetic while trying to convince you to take prescription meds stating "it's a fun little drug". The location she selected for my MRI was a month out. Thanks to my PCP two weeks later I found an imaging center that got me seen in 2 days. It would have been the same day but they waited all day for the referral to be faxed over by Dr. Youngers office. The nerve test referred to me was with her colleague Dr Clark. Which AGAIN I had to wait yet another month. At this point it was clear this office doesn't care about finding answers for its patients in any timely manner. The day before my appointment I received a call from their office. The call was very short, ONLY stating that I had two appointments back to back and start times. This was the same info I previously confirmed from their text. There were no further details given including any cancellation policy. Living over 35 minutes away being told, if late your appointment will be canceled, would be remembered. On the day of my appointment it was storming, even leaving my house 10 minutes early, unpredictably I had to wait in multiple traffic accidents, and slow downs due to the storm. When I arrived at their location lo and behold no parking as always bc it's shared with the whole hospital. By the time I found parking and rushed in during the storm I was 10 minutes late. The front desk lady took her sweet time, a few minutes later informed me I possibly wouldn't be able to see the doctor because my appointment started at 9:40. I looked back down at my phone the time it was exactly 9:52. (Keep in mind this after the couple of minutes that she wasted) Upon checking (now 9:53) she said Dr. Clark stated he didn't have enough time to do my appointment. With having back to back appointments I of course requested to reschedule them as I wasn't going to wait around for almost an hour because Dr. Clark felt that a "40 minute procedure" (Kim Pratt's words) couldn't be completed in that little of time... (47 minutes) AGAIN they couldn't get me in for a month and a half. I'm expected to wait, continuously having issues that put me in the ER in the first place, until mid August now. That's 4 months just wasted on WAITING! Of course I shouldn't of been surprised when she had me waiting around another 10+ minutes while "rescheduling" my appointments. Something that took 2 minutes the last two times. Seems very odd! I also find it awkward how they conveniently have enough time to waste our time as patients. When you arrived on time you're expected to wait over 15 minutes in the room to see the doctor. Which is another thing I experienced on my first visit. I had waited OVER 15 minutes from the time the nurse left the room until the time the doctor came in. Yes, but me being 10 minutes late, as I'm not willing to kill myself to get there, will throw EVERYONES day off -- again Kim Pratt's words. Complete rubbish! There's no true concern here for the patients, their time, what they're going through, or actually finding out answers.

Prior to receiving treatment from Dr. Reeves, I was informed by the orthopedist I was seeing for…read moreright shoulder pain that his treatment plan would begin with steroid injections to manage the pain. However, he said these injections would eventually destroy the cartilage in my shoulder leading to the need for a shoulder replacement. Obviously, this was not a very attractive treatment option for me. When I spoke to Dr. Reeves, he told me that prolotherapy would not damage my cartilage but rather stabilize the cartilage surface and help the shoulder move more normally but calming or repairing irritated tendons, ligaments and nerves about the shoulder, reducing the possibility of needing a shoulder replacement. This was a much more appealing treatment plan. The first time I met with Dr. Reeves, I was struck by the thoroughness of the exam. He began by examining my range of motion and which movements caused pain. He then, using subtle pressure with his finger and thumb, asked me to let him know when I felt any pain. In the end, this proved not to be necessary, because once he applied pressure he would say "this spot probably irritates you but this one doesn't." Remarkably, he was accurate 100% of the time. He then used a marker to map where to place the injections. Before the prolotherapy treatment began he asked me if I would like to pray. Admittedly, I was shocked, in a good way, by this option, because I had never before been given this option by a medical professional. Kind of wish this practice would become more common. Because prolotherapy involves using needles to inject natural substances into different tissues, I was stuck by how little discomfort was involved in this procedure until I reminded myself that Dr. Reeves specialty is pain management and he is extremely good at this. At the completion of the treatment, I had increased range of motion and an obvious reduction in pain. However, the elegance of prolotherapy is that the real healing occurs in the weeks and months following treatment. In addition to working on my right shoulder, Dr. Reeves, in subsequent appointments, has treated my left shoulder and both knees. As a result of my positive experience of being a patient of Dr. Reeves, I refer all my friends and acquaintances, dealing with chronic pain, to him. This is easy to do because Dr. Reeves processes all the traits of a true healer. He is companionate, humble, patient, smart and honest. One reviewer described him as a saint. A description I can't disagree with. He truly loves what he does and I am always stuck each time I met him by how much he has learned since the last time we met. Consequently, I am confident that I am always receiving the most cutting edge treatment available. I feel blessed to have met such an exceptional individual and hope others receive this blessing too.
