He listened to her concerns and calmly explained next steps to her even after a telehealth visit. His staff is efficient in scheduling and timely in billing. I was just curious about what others were saying about Dr. Gupta and I were pretty shocked about these false claims and reviews. I've been seeing Dr. Gupta for over two years and never ever have i seen or witnessed these aligations that the other two reviewers stated. That's a load of dangerous malarkey. Dr. Gupta has dedicated his life to helping the drug addicted and the sick. If anything, we should be phrasing him for his humanitarian work. In this country, including the town of Monroe, there are millions of individuals trying to get off opiates which could be prescription or street drugs. In which he is one of the few who has helped. I say good luck to the other two if they need help with medical needs for addition because they're slim puckins. The allegations about office visits are only mandatory if you are taking suboxone. This medication is highly monitored by the government, and if you need refills, you have to come into the office for drug testing. If you want to call that I insurance abuse, then read your damm contract when you start in the suboxone program. And to that patent that said the disgusting lie about sexual abuse, you are a plain damm lier. You should never use those slanderous statements without substantial proof. What person says that about a professial doctor to ruin his reputation just because you couldn't get off your lazy ass and go to the office. This class of drugs has to be done in that fashion. You can't just call it in like a blood pressure pill or something. And you know this because you signed the paperwork when you started your recovery with him. Dr. Gupta is a disgusting excuse for a doctor! Looking at the claims filed against him and the lawsuits that were won against him just confirm the experience we had with him! He is arrogant, self absorbed, greedy and pathetic! We went to him because he was one of the only doctors who prescribed Suboxone. We needed it quickly as my fiancé was discharged from treatment with nothing and no referrals as to where to go to continue the Suboxone he was on. It was a BIG MISTAKE! He tries to get you to come in to appointments unnecessarily to charge your insurance as much as he can! If you have an appointment he will see you for one issue and then you have to make an appointment for the next. He insists you make him your primary care doctor and he is completely incompetent! He called in the wrong prescriptions SEVERAL TIMES after he made you to go to appointment after appointment just to get your meds the meds your previous primary care doctor prescribed! He wrote Suboxone for a week and then scheduled the return appointment for 10 days later and wouldn't call in the extra 3 days because you weren't at an appointment! He could care less about actually helping and does not listen to you at all! He will hang up on you if you call and need him to correct his mistakes! He is RUDE AND INCOMPETENT AND SHOULD NOT PRACTICE MEDICINE! My fiancé went to a doctor for his mental health, because there is no way he would see Dr. Gupta for it! Dr. Gupta doesn't care and is not qualified!!! The mental health doctor prescribed a medication to help him and the pharmacy made my fiancé get the ok from his primary care doctor to take the medication before they would fill it because he was on Suboxone therefore they needed it to be okayed even though it is perfectly safe to take it with the Suboxone! Dr. Gupta denied it he cause he saw another doctor and he was upset, not because it wasn't safe to take it! Dr. Gupta got on the phone when my fiancé called to find out why he did not okay it and he yelled at him and acted just like a little kid! He told him he should just go see the other doctor for his Suboxone if he wants to see someone else besides him! It was outrageous! He hung the phone up after he yelled just like a toddler would do! He made my fiancé make an appointment if he wanted to continue on his Suboxone when my fiancé called the office back after he hung up! He is the worst doctor I've ever witnessed and I've been a nurse for 22 years! What he's doing by making you make appointment after appointment for something that any other doctor would handle in one appointment is INSURANCE FRAUD! He has been reported and we will keep reporting him until something is done! Reading all I have about him sexually harassing women, touching little girls and killing several people who counted on him to care for them, I am appalled!!! Dr. Arun Gupta on Monroe St. in Monroe, Mi. is an absolutely dangerous doctor. To start with, his "bedside" manner is to treat the patient however HE'S feeling that day. If he's in a bad mood you can expect him to be very temperamental with you. If you get lucky and he's in a good mood, you can expect kind of decent service. He snaps at patients for no reason, he cuts people off, doesn't listen to their complaints and when you call him on the phone, it doesn't matter if you are finished or not, soon as he's done speaking to you, he hangs up on you. There is no waiting to see what you say in response. Then, there's the fact of my medication. He started me on 10mg Methadone for pain in Sept. of 2009. I was told that I was getting Methadone because he "knew I was going to have to be on it for the immediate future" and it was a safer, long term pain medication than others like Vicodin or Oxycontin. When I expressed concern, initially about taking it and becoming dependent, he told me "not to worry" that I'd be fine. Then, as time goes on, he tells me to go to see different kinds of specialists, yet, when asking him for references, his response would be, "I can't help you there, you have to find someone who takes your insurance". Then, when you can't find a doctor that does so, he gets upset and takes it out on the patient. I finally got hooked up with a pain management specialist and Gupta was so eager to dump my Methadone scripts on the pain doctor that, while the pain doctor was out of town, Gupta REFUSED to refill my Methadone, leaving me w/ no medication and facing withdrawals. When pointed out that he started me on the stuff and that it was his duty to take care of me until the other doctor took over, Gupta's response was, "no, I'm done. You let him help you". When explaining a SECOND time that the pain doctor was out of town, Gupta's response was, "that's not my problem". Well, yeah, actually, it is. Finally, I left Gupta after he refused me my proper medication, leaving me with no substitute and going into withdrawals. As of Sept. 29, 2014, I'm no longer a patient and I would advise ANYONE looking for a doctor to STAY AWAY FROM GUPTA. He has also been sued in the past for malpractice. read more
