Brought a gun in that my mother in law had just purchased from them because it was having issues. They played it off that it just needed worn in and were more worried about the red dot sight on the gun being to far forward, which in fact it was not. Come to find out the gun had a nice new shiny rubbing spot in an uncommon area that needed polished out. Yes there are a bunch of new gun owners especially right now but the way they talked to me like I was an idiot when I've been around guns for over 20 years frustrated me.

The industry can get a bad rep but the people here helped me get my bike back and were great to work with!

We were excited to return, as my husband is a retired state police office, but didn't have a welcoming experience. It was raining pretty hard out and we ran from our vehicle to the front door in pouring rain where a man greeted us and told us that he wouldn't let us in because it was raining out and that "we would get stuck in there for hours." WHAT?!?!?!? So I write this, completely drenched, and 100% pissed off because who does this?? Clearly someone with no people skills. Bad business decision on your part- we had come to buy and will NEVER be back. Hoping the older woman who runs this place sees this review and does something about it.

He showed me around the store, explained what the various types of rigs were. He did it without overwhelming me. He couldn't have been more friendly. The prices seemed great. Jim ties most of the rigs in the store and that certainly helps keeps prices down and ensures quality. I appreciated what he didn't do as much as what he did do. He didn't try to sell me more than I needed. He is looking for repeat customers not just a one and done. What I can tell you is this. Jim's will be my go to shop. This is one of the worst, low integrity businesses you will ever find! They don't care one iota…read moreabout their customer's satisfaction, or following the rules they insist we adhere to, they are your classic bully without remorse! I bought & paid instantly for a piece of vintage electronics, and then, as I do with every purchase I make, I asked them to "please ship securely." I simply reminded them, very politely & professionally, about the FedEx shipping requirements they are already expected to follow. No special requests, beyond reminding them that popcorn or crushed paper is never appropriate when shipping heavy items, something every knowledgeable & responsible shipper knows. Both mediums settle or compress during shipment, making them useless for actual protection, and only suitable for fill when shipping lighter items. Did they reply assuring me they always ship responsibly, or perhaps explain how they make sure this is not an issue? Nope, THEY REFUSED?! Despite me assuring them I had years of experience shipping the vintage electronics I bought, they cancelled my order without once trying to contact me, or even question why? So in other words, when they found out I expected them to ship responsibly, they ran from it as fast as humanly possible! They then piled on buy fraudulently cancelled my order without any valid reason, and then when I complained, they tried to make me out to be the bad guy! So you have all the worst things you can find in a business, absolute disregard for secure shipping; complete lack of willingness to learn and expand their current, failing systems, and failure to accept responsibility for their own failures. In essence they already know it all and no one will tell them different; and instead of interacting professionally, they use deflection, projection and just plain juvenile excuses to justify their atrocious behavior! I warn all prospective customers of Crazy Louie, through any venue or platform, RUN AWAY, HEAD FOR THE HILLS, GO ANYWHERE ELSE! You cannot expect any level of integrity or honesty from a business that cannot muster one truthful, sincere or respectable bone among them. So, no real reason to shop around for this particular model. Except, I spoke to a couple of employees at Delaware Paddlesports and they were exceptionally polite, knowledgeable and friendly. So, I bought my kayak there. A couple of years down the road and numerous phone calls seeking advice later, I'm very happy with my purchase. In fact, I've sent a couple of friends there to buy their Hobies. Last week I walked out to my back yard and discovered damage to my Hobie from a fallen tree branch. A quick look on the internet showed that I could repair my kayak with a set of the parts that were damaged. I only needed one of that item. They were only sold in pairs. And, not cheap. So, I called Delaware Paddlesports and spoke to Chuck. Chuck checked and found the part that I needed in their shop. Just the one, used, not a pair. Perfect. But, even better...Chuck told me that if I could pick the item up, there would be no charge. What??? In this day and age customer service is a long forgotten term. Once the sale is made its often "Thanks, See ya. Next?" But not here. How easy would it have been for Chuck to simply look my part up on the computer, add shipping and make a couple dollars profit for the store? And I'd have been stuck paying for two items when I only needed one. So instead of making that couple dollars, Delaware Paddlesports now has a lifelong customer and advocate. I've already recommended Delaware Paddlesports to a couple looking to make multiple purchases and will send anyone looking for a great kayak and even better customer service to Chuck and Delaware Paddlesports!
