I have bought a good number of rifles, I think 6 old used rifles at this point and one handgun from him, and have never had a problem. He offers lay-a-way for most of the firearms in the store. Albert, the owner, also has the best firearm transfer rate in the area; so if you need to have something sent, he's your best bet. Just be sure to call him before you have something sent to him to make sure it 1. Can be accepted in California, and 2. He's willing to have it sent to him. I've seen way too many people come in asking where their gun is and him having no idea what gun they are talking about because they did not contact him prior to having it sent. Its a one man show there so if there is a line, you need to be patient! Albert will get to you take care of you as soon as he's able. His prices on new stuff is between low to average San Diego prices. His consignment guns can sometimes be priced too high, but that's more the price the is seller then him. It's a great little store and Albert is a great owner.

As the website clearly mentions they cater to gun enthusiasts that know exactly what they want, they will not try to sell you anything you dont want but they will answer all your questions. It's definitely not a store to window shop. They have access to Davidson's and other large retailers, but I find their used gun inventory more interesting. I really like their appointment process and streamlined DROS process. You set up an appointment and you have their undivided attention for that time. You don't have to worry about waiting forever or them getting distracted by window shoppers or walk ins. If you value your time and want to avoid the typical gun store crowd and interaction I highly recommend Dechiel Firearms.

We also waited about 15 minutes for a lane, which cut our time short before closing, but still paid for the full hour. Once inside, I had a fun time shooting and honing my skills. The range master was great, strict about safety, helpful, and even lent me better ear protection. I appreciated him being on top of the completely inexperienced group next to us who had ZERO gun safety knowledge or common sense. It's also SO freaking hot in there, zero AC or air circulation and excessively loud even for a range. I'll probably check out some other ranges before coming back, mainly because of how rude the front desk experience was.
