Hands down a great place for a quick bite! Came here on a Monday when nothing else was open and…read moredecided to try it. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious and not too salty as the usual tex mex places. Your meal also comes with a side of chips and salsa. The chips are perfectly fried and not greasy. They also have the right amount of salt. All of the ingredients are fresh. One of the things I like most, is that they have four different types of pico de gallo. One mixed with mango, another with pineapple, cucumber, and then regular. I've only tried the mango and I loved it! My husband got the quesabirria! By far authentic birria. So good! We have actually been there twice before I decided to review it. The second time I got the California burrito, which is huge but tasty. The service is impeccable and the restaurant itself is very clean, including the bathrooms. We will definitely be back for more! Highly recommended!

This is an interesting dish, one that originated in San Diego in the 1980's, and soon spread across the country. It is quite different from the burrito that originated in Northern Mexico, especially around the city of Chihuahua before 1900. The dish started with the carne asada burrito and added cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico, and even seasoned French fries. I found this burrito interesting but it is not one I'd order again, entirely too busy for me, and the texture is all over the place. I did like the restaurant overall, and will return at some point to try some of their other offerings.

This Mexican grocery, a classic hole-in-the-wall, has a small taqueria in the rear. There are a…read moredozen or so tables and booths available for dining in, and the area is clean and bright. The menu is not especially broad, about what you'd expect with this type of spot! I ordered the Pozole Rojo and 2 Chorizo Tacos. My order was quickly done, no more than 10 minutes. The tacos were not topped when I got them, the meat was in warm tortillas and the chopped onion, lime, and cilantro were in a separate area. I applied the toppings, added lime juice and some of several salsas completed the item. These are good tacos and there is plenty of chorizo in them. I would order tacos here again if in the area, but it is not a destination spot. The Pozole Rojo was not really good. It was greasy, under seasoned, and had a bitter after taste. Definitely not a reorder item. Ambiance - 2 Food - 3 Service - 4 Value - 3 ( applied to tacos only)

SHOPPING- the restaurant is in the back, while you wait walk around the market. They have grocery items- but also so many items- I felt like I walked into a market in Mexico. The Pottery is so beautiful, clothing embroidered with colorful flowers, shoes as me boots and more. Before I left bought lots of produce to fill my fruit bowl at home.

The tacos, 2 Chorizo & 2 Campechano (4 for $8.99)were more than a little disappointing - both meats were over cooked and dry; the Campechano was a strange mixture and lacked the traditional Chicharrones and the beef, whatever cut it was, was anything but tender and flavorful. The Milanese de Pollo ($11.99) was rather nice ( though there is little in the cutlet that shouts Mexican) but if what I received was 1/2 chicken, it was indeed a very small bird. And the side of beans was all liquid, not a single bean to be found. Would not return here, especially with Tacos Casa Miguel just a bit up the road! Ambiance - 2 Food -2 Service - 4 Value - 2

Keep that in mind if you come for lunch. We were given a two sided menu (English and Spanish) and there were specials written on a menu board by the kitchen. I ordered the carnitas torta and it was one of the best I've ever had! I split with my friend who ordered the carne asada tacos and the caldo de pollo rojo (red chicken soup). It was all amazing! Big portions and great prices. This place is nothing to look at on the inside, but let the food speak for itself! I can't wait to go back and try another one of their daily specials. And next time I'll take more pictures.

The portions are decent, the prices are very very good especially considering the economy right now, and the table manners and service has been absolutely phenomenal... even on their busiest days numerous people came by to check up on us and make sure that we didn't need any extra refills, sauces, napkins, etc. That, to me is the hallmark of a place that values its customers and places its attention on the service it provides. We've loved this place so much, we frequently order to go in addition to our sit down meals so that we can have more over the next few days! It's that good. Highly, highly recommend Frida's.

Frida's has the usual food items but they also have some really unique items and they go above and beyond with their presentation! The service was also on point! Just because something is listed as a lunch item, doesn't mean you can't have it. I got the Birria Bowl that came with a crunchy collar and Mykela got the Grilled Chicken Chipotle Tacos. We both had leftovers because we saved room for the Churros aka fried dough Heaven. We placed To Go orders of the Philly Steak Burrito and the Steak California Burrito for our boys. Everything, including the To Go items, were plated beautifully and everything was delicious!!
