My parents have been using this company since they moved to Ocala, so my thought was, why change…read morecompanies when they have been customers for years? When the technician arrived, one of the first things he asked my mom was how she was going to pay. He then told her that he would not do the work unless she showed him some form of payment. My mom showed him the card she planned to use. I found this extremely uncomfortable and honestly a little offensive. We would not schedule an appointment to have work done if we did not have the money to pay for it. Since this happened on a Friday evening, I called the company and left a voicemail. I did receive a call first thing Monday morning from Addy, who has always been very nice and professional with us. I asked her directly about what happened, and she explained that this is how the company conducts business because they have had customers schedule appointments, have the work completed, and then not pay. She said that customers are asked to show proof of payment when the technician arrives. I thanked her for explaining and hung up. But afterward, I couldn't stop thinking about the situation. I wondered whether we would have been treated the same way if my parents lived in The Villages or in a large, expensive home. I also couldn't help but wonder whether our last name being Perez played any part in how we were approached. I understand that a business needs to protect itself from customers who don't pay. However, there are professional ways to establish payment policies before sending a technician to someone's home. If proof of payment is required from every customer, that should be clearly explained when the appointment is scheduled--not when a technician is already standing inside an elderly customer's home telling her he will not perform the work until she proves she can pay. After being loyal customers for years, the interaction left me disappointed and questioning whether we should continue doing business with this company. It probably won't make much of a difference to the company whether we choose to come back or not, but I still felt this experience was worth mentioning. Sometimes the way a policy is communicated and handled can make just as much of an impression as the service itself.

SCAM ALERT*******DONT USE THEM!***They scam the old timers of the Villages buy overcharging for…read moretile purchased not the tile ACTUALLY installed. I brought this to the attention of one of the owners, Matt. He refused to change the estimate they provided. They attempted to charge for 1109 sf when the space only measures (by their measurements) 1003 sf. The explanation was that the customer is paying for the excess tile required to install the floor tile. (Waste due to cuts). I explained that he can not charge me an install price of the total amount of tile purchase, he can only charge me for the tile ACTUALLY installed. They are overcharging EVERY customer by the 10% overage that they purchase. It's a SCAM. They apparently do it with carpet as well. People only pay for what's installed not for what's purchased! SCAMMING THE ELDERLY.

I was informed my appointment would be between 8am-5pm. A team of three (Kim, John and Nick) all showed up right after 8 o'clock which was much earlier than I expected. During the time all three were at my home checking on electric issues I was pleased to see how professional they all were and communication through them was great. I was explained everything single issue and how it was fixed (all simple issues). They noticed the entire breaker box in my garage was labeled completely wrong and they even went the extra mile to relabel everything properly for me. This is my first time ever using Galaxy Home Solutions and I can say without a doubt I will always contact them for any electric work I might need in the future. I will be refereeing Galaxy Home Solutions to all of my family and friends in the area! I 100% recommend using them! Thank you Galaxy Home Solutions!!!!!

The sales person sold us on the company we paid our deductible and communication broke down. We waited 2 weeks to hear from a project manager(new to company) finally we went to office to go over the plans and flooring and paint colors. We were assured by the young lady in the office that our flooring budget would cover our choices. We were then given a start date that no one showed up for until a week later. We could not get an estimate on the finish date until the week it was finished. 2 months after insurance paid we got an additional bill stating we had an outstanding balance for our floors. And after numerous requests we finally received a bill. Not really sure when they realized our floors were not covered through insurance but we wish they would have told us in advance we would have made adjustments or paid for a higher quality floor. When we asked about the balance due we were told we signed saying we would cover anything insurance did not cover so we paid it. I say all of this to say communication is very important make sure they answer your questions up front or you will pay in the end.
