They came in and fixed what was necessary and left. No muss no fuss, just did the job. Very happy!

So far so good. James came over and gave us some good tips on how to find our problem which could…read morebe time consuming and cost us a lot if he did it. Once we locate the junction box, we will be sure to give him a call back if we need assistance. Very personable and professional.

I contacted James for an electrical job at one of my rentals . Based on his reviews and a referral…read morefrom a family member (who's partner is part owner of the company ). We really wanted to like Ewire and continue working with this electrical company, but their pricing and unprofessionalism is the worst I have seen in the 12 years I have been working with vendors. James came out hours later than his scheduled appointment . The diagnosis was to replace one main breaker . The total cost was $450 . I am well aware that a breaker costs about $60. Fine , it's the weekend I agreed to pay to get it done with. Invoice arrives on my email , On top of the high price to change out ONE breaker - he charged a service fee of $75 for coming out. Usually, a service fee is deducted if the homeowner agrees to go through with the job. I manage over 30 properties and deal with vendors on a daily basis ...plumbers, painters, electricians, HandyMan, Tree Services, pest control , roofers , tile, etc ...I've worked with all types of vendors alike . NOBODY... I repeat, not a single vendor has billed me for a service fee trip out especially when we have agreed for them to do the work. This fee is only in cases where they come out to quote and you did not hire them for the job, for the time and travel yes. However, when questioned why there is that fee Debbie (his wife ) and James proceeded to argue with me and I don't even recall the nonsense answer. So for a fee I had to pay to "look" at the job , they had to disturb my tenant to ask her what brand the breaker is? Shouldn't a licensed electrician have all of that information gathered when you came out for the "service trip " ? Again Fine, I decided to pay them and not hire them again. I was in a good holiday spirit. Fast forward to invoicing ...I am online one click away from paying this ridiculous bill ...they also added taxes on top of the invoice . Likewise, not one of my current vendor invoices for taxes added onto labor work (by law you can only tax on materials purchased) Proceeded to question why there is taxes for an invoice amount on $450 when most of that was labor? The response was they bought a breaker and that is taxable by law OK show me the receipt for the breaker! Before I could handle this in a peaceful way , the owner threatened to put a lien on my property if the taxes are not paid along with the bill. steer clear away from this company!! I can recommend a handful of other licensed electricians who are honest professional with their home owners and not money hungry . Just wanted to try you guys out but obviously Ewire won't be getting any more work from me. attached is the receipt for payment on your unreasonable charges for ONE breaker . My usual Electrician was out of town unfortunately, but I can get a whole breaker box changed out for $800.
