I did pop-up events there. I paid for an event and had to cancel for personal reasons over a month in advance. The lady who said she was the event coordinator gave me my money back but banned me from future events. I feel I gave her ample notice that I had to pull out. I am warning everyone to be careful when dealing with her. She is rude and knows it all. It's okay that I can't do events there cause the place is infested with BLACK MOLD !!!! They are serving food there , yuk ! There are other places to go to do events that are way more organized, professional, and clean. They don't check if you have a license or anything. Very sad condition of the mall was there this weekend to go to the Spirit store and went to the chocolate store, very good chocolate and noticed another store moving out and heard from the lady that more stores are closing, I donot understand how the place is open with all the black mold putting everyone at a health risk. It is hard to believe the business owners have not taken action or how the health department is even allowing that place to be open. If you have health issues you definitely need to stay away from that place. It is hard to believe that one time ago that place was thriving but was also told the owner does not care that the mall is falling apart and a health risk. I lookd up the owner and apparently he does this with all the malls he owns, it is a shame he is even allowed to own property. read more

I see sears has been tore down and the new apartments are going in. They are going repave the parking lot very shortly. There is a lot of empty space in the mall right now but that will change with all the new apartments going in around it. I am planning on opening a new store as soon as the parking lot is done. This county is growing at a fast pace and there is construction going on all over the place. There is not any homes left around me and the price is 5 times greater than it was. They are building the biggest cancer research center in the country that will employ 150,000 people. They will have to build 5000 more apartments and 10 thousand new homes. After such a delightful lunch, we needed to go someplace to walk it all off. Since we were going to be in NPR, I suggested we go to the Mall. I used live in NPR, and I was in the city when it was built. It has fallen -so far- down the rabbit hole from what it used to be in it's prime. Gone are stores that used to be stellar (Jc Penneys, Maas Brothers, Burdines) and now you have stores that I just don't even understand (On Point fashion, Dollar Town, Rue 21) I miss the book store, I miss Sabaros, I'm glad that there are stores like the comic book store down near Dillards, and that there's now an Ulta, because that Ulta is fantastic. But it makes me sad to see that the mall is barely surviving. It's holding on by it's fingertips and someone seems to be stomping on them. read more

All right, so it's not the best mall in the Galaxy, but it is the only mall in West Pasco and for being that it's pretty damn good! For anchor stores there is Best Buy, Sears and Dillard's. Other stores of the notable interests are Hot Topic, Rue 21, Finish Line and Hickory Farms. That's right, HICKORY FARMS. There is a small, but effective food court that has all the mall snack favorites like Villa Pizza, Subway and Charlie's Cheesesteaks, plus a few indie eateries like Pita 2, which serves up Mediterranean grub. The size of the mall is what one would expect from one that was developed in the late 70s, especially considering the size the of the THEN population out that way. I found it just big enough to make my dogs scream, but not so big that I could get lost for hours. The mall recently sold for $15 mil, so I'm excited about what's on the horizon. read more

This mall kind of bummed me out. Like you know you are walking into something that used to be a *thing* but isn't a thing any more. But judging by comments on here, it's been going down for a long time, so I'm partially impressed it is still riding down and isn't dead. If you got kids, it's a good place to entertain them. There's now a little boat ride, there's a bungee thing, and there are those motorized animal things. And I like having Best Buy and TJ Maxx in a mall. The food court is decent plus it has Harold Seltzer's for a little fancier fare. And there are a lot of weird stores I've never heard of that are kind of cool to look around. There are just a lot of empty stores as well that make things seem a little sad. There isn't another mall that's very close so I'm surprised this doesn't draw more options. So a bit of a downer and you can do a LOT better but it's got it's old remains of charm left. read more

Wow, what can I say about this mall... RIP! This is truly a "dead Mall" I decided to hang out at this mall to kill some time while waiting for an appointment. I for one, love to explore dead malls, and this was a decent one. here are some things I noticed: - the mall doesn't have the ac on very high. It was probably about 85* inside. - the mall is VERY outdated, dark, plain. - cracked ceilings complete with water stains! - the food court is awful, there's only two chains subway and Auntie Annie pretzels. Then there's a Chinese restaurant, pita 2?? and some Italian place. - there is mold in the skylight and ceiling of the food court -all the stores are very outdated and everyone looks miserable. - some of the empty storefronts have been trashed ex. The store next to Best Buy. -there are a bunch of junk shops in here. It looks like a hoarder was forced to have a lawn sale! -about 60% of the mall is vacant. Honestly, I don't think this mall can be revived, it seems as if the whole area is dying out. Ex. The shopping plaza next door that used to House Toys R Us, staples, circuit city, etc, are now just falling apart and left to be vandalized. So, 1 Star for me when it comes to the actual quality of shopping at the mall. Save yourself a trip here and just go to the Westfield Countryside in Clearwater! read more

My rating is based on the stores still alive at this mall! My Granddaughter & I shop at Claire's, eat at Starbucks, and find the best deals at Rue 21! The Food Court has limited choices with Charlie's Steaks, a couple of Asian food choices, and a great place where I got a tasty Gyro! There are a lot of shopping choices in the Port Richey area, mostly strip malls, but it's still a shame there are empty slots in this mall. It's been like this for a while. This mall is a complete joke. More like Gulfview Scare Mall. About 40% of the stores have shut down, 30% are $1 stores and cheap crap stores, 20% are country western, and 10% are "other." If my spouse didn't like the nail place and Bath and Body works, I wouldn't even go to this mall. This mall is one of the few you can go to and have plenty of room to walk, not because it's large, but because there is rarely anyone there. Heck, you can go during Black Friday and Christmas and still see no one. I genuinely expect this mall to go out of business within the next 5 years. Also, if you do visit this mall, go when it's not raining since the ceiling leaks. read more

I have lived within two miles of this mall for the past 15 years. Let me tell you how many times I have entered this mall in the past 15 years. Seven. Seven times in 15 years. I do not count going into the department stores as going into the "mall". I have walked into JC Penney's, Dillard's, Montgomery Ward (when it was still there), Sears and Burdine's (RIP), etc., many times from the OUTSIDE of the mall. I have been in the Best Buy and the TJ Maxx they recently tacked on to the outside. I have also been in the Linen's and Things that they literally STOLE from me. Hateful animals. However, being INSIDE the mall? Yeah. Seven times. (Can we exclude the times I had to go in there to find my teenagers when they weren't answering their cellphones, because then I would have to say I have been in there at least 22,342 times.) The mall itself is not hateful. There are decent stores in there like American Eagle (more like American Eating Disorder based on the sizes), and Hollister. Hot Topic is in there...that's always fun for your leather clad desires or need to wear Taylor Swifts face on your chest. However, after living for years in New York City and Miami Beach...I am used to mall's having high end stores like Brookstone, Sharper Image, Tiffany's, Nordstrom's, etc. This mall is definitely a "Teenage Dream". I always have a problem with mall's that contain "dollar stores". A dollar store has no business being in a mall and it sort of sets the tone for the experience. The music stores are all gone. There used to be a Camelot music there and a Sam Ash. I liked those. The biggest infraction of this mall? No Sephora in the JC Penney? *gags* THAT is just unfathomable to me. The main problem with this place is that it is always in a state of flux. There are always stores closing. You never know from week to week what stores are still in there. There is very little foot traffic in this mall. In this economy, malls like this one simply are not going to thrive. They offer nothing special. And, sadly, they took out the one thing that I MIGHT have returned for...and that was the carousel. My grandbabies are now old enough that they would have appreciated the carousel that has been there for ages. Gone. Replaced with this stupid bungee jumping thing. The food court? Horrific. A Chick Fila (that I have real issues with), a Subway, a Chinese kiosk that has gotten more than one person ill in the past (they have been closed down and reopened at least a dozen times for health code infractions), an A&W...and I don't know what else any more. It's just usually very dirty. And for some reason, people in Pasco County haven't been taught the fine art of going to DUMP YOUR OWN TRAY OUT when you are done eating. They leave the food on the table, get up, walk away...leaving it there to rot. I don't generally see this sort of behavior at other malls. I guess it's just a reflection of the mall itself. I do miss the first year I came down here...15 years ago. I took my daughter (then 8 years old) and my infant son, (now 16) to see Santa there. It was our first winter in Florida and we were all a little shell shocked from no cold, no snow, and Christmas decorations that included lighted palm trees and Santa's sleigh being pulled by eight tiny...DOLPHIN??? *sobs* But the mall...the mall had lights, snow, music, Santa (with REINDEER!) and made us feel less homesick for New York. That's the memory I prefer to hang onto. It was festive, beautiful and people were happy and shopping. It was clean, bright and cheery. There were events going on for the children, fund raising gift wrappers and late night shopping opportunities complete with free coffee for weary shoppers. The mall now? Depressing. I have long since made the commitment to try to shop local stores, mom and pop places. But if I need a mall fix? Down to International Mall I go. I don't even stop at Countryside, which I find equally as pathetic. It's a sad reflection of the times when a Jewish woman won't even go into her local mall. Poor, sad mall. read more

I would give 4 stars for my review , but realize Gulfview Mall is not what it used to be . Iv'e come to this mall for 33 and a half years and agree it needs some upgrades . I can remember good stores like Chess king , Camelot music , Mrs Fields cookies ,Mass Brothers , at least 2 book stores and many others that no longer exist , and Sbarro pizza that used to be really good . This is really a sad, dying mall. I have visited the mall for about 10 years since my parents retired to the area. Even the worst malls in Orlando are better than this one. However, for an area that has little else I guess it is OK. Many of the shops have closed or are closing, and last month the carousel left. Every time I've been, even on weekends, the place looks like a ghost town. On the plus side you never have to worry about a place to park or crowds!! They have some small department stores and a Best Buy and Linens and Things as anchors. This mall is fine for the retired folks in the area looking to kill time but I'd imagine it would be worth the drive to Clearwater or even the Trinity area if you really want to do some shopping. read more

Ehhhhh. Outside, this place looks like any mall. Inside, it is reasonably nice. I can't really pinpoint the things I don't like about this mall. It just gives off a...weird feeling. For any Pinellas County natives, its like Seminole Mall and Tyrone Mall had a child, with this mall looking more like Tyrone. Pros: Not crowded. TJMaxx in the mall! Some 'nice' stores like Hollister and American Eagle. Decent enough food court. Cons: Slightly run down...bathrooms old, dry water fountain in main walkway, etc. Two closed department stores, I assume JCPenney and Macy's. No sit down restaurants besides a steakhouse. Small seating area in food court. Weird stores, like the country store and dollar store. Musty smell in some areas. If Simon (the property group) put some effort in this mall, this could be a great place! Fill up the two empty stores with Nordstrom and Macy's, add an H&M, some designer stores, and just spruce up the place. Sadly, I don't see this happening. The clientele of this mall won't support it. I can see this place becoming the next Seminole Mall in 20 years, Overall, this mall is good for a rainy day. But if you want to do any serious shopping, head somewhere else. read more

Great place for mall walking. That's about it. Since Macy's and Burdines left - so did the quality. The JCP - before it departed- never had a Sephora which was disappointing. I was horrified with the inclusion of a dollar store. Really? That in and of itself lowers the property value. There are a couple noteworthy stores...Hollister, American Eagle Outfitters (is that even still there?). Bath and Body Works. The Sears store is blah..nothing special. There are a disturbing amount of cheap assessory shops that remind me of the junk aisle at the flea market. The food court? I've never braved it with the exception of Aunt Annies Pretzels (yum!) And Starbucks across the aisle (still overpriced). It's all just depressing. Overrun with bored teenagers and run of the mill stores. None of the stores seem to have any personality anymore....most don't even decorate for Christmas. My suggestion? Investigate some of the thrift shops, the shops in Trinity, Wiregrass or my personal favorite -- International Mall. read more

I usually don't give that bad of reviews, but I should've listened to everyone when they told me this mall is no good. I went here last week to the nail salon which was nice, and didn't have a chance to look around, so I was in need of a white formal type dress so I decided I would come back and give the mall the benefit of the doubt-- I looked in Dillard's, Hollister, Rainbow, Charolette Russe, Aeropostle and Pac Sun.. I'm not very picky, but seriously none of these stores had any type of white dress to wear out. None of the clerks in any of the stores greeted me or helped me, except in Pac Sun (where I bought a couple impulse things) where the guy was working completely alone!! Half of the stores were shut down, or already closed for the night at 6pm. The food court only had a Chick-fil-a, pita place, Charleys, Subway? and a Chinese place. The Starbucks is very small and usually has a line out the door. Probably won't be back unless I'm incredibly bored. read more

This mall isn't worth the space it takes up. It's dingy, dirty, old, and dying. Every time I walk in there is another store gone! Something must be wrong with Simon Malls...Because Westfield has NO problem filling it's vacant stores! The food court leaves much to be desired. You're choices are: Chicken, Pretzels, Sat on Subs, more chicken, Asian chicken x 2, pizza, and most recently, Smoothies. As far as I know, this mall NEVER does anything to reach out to it's customers (probably because it doesn't really have any.) The ONLY attraction is the dreaded day when the mall fills with oldies...in both human and musical forms. Badly dressed bad singers sing bad songs. There is not much variety there either. Shoes shoes and more shoes!! (soon to be another!) Clothes and Jewelry...That's it. It looks like the mall doesn't care about it's general appearances...at all The same lights have been out for years. BARELY ANY kind of advertising...(what kind of shopping center DOESN'T advertise!!) Very old decor. Bathrooms ALWAYS have a broken stall...or two. This is a lonely mall that needs a lot of help. The Bodhi Tree is kind of new and is a really nice store to go into. The mall in appearance is very outdated and leaves little food options in the food court. As it was my first experience purchasing a tee shirt for a Christmas gift at "T-shirt design"-located in front of the Best Buy area in the middle of the mall, I did not realize a non-refundable, no return policy existed. When I was making the purchase, another dissatisfied customer was pleading her case (no receipt given to her daughter who purchased it as a gift) seeking a return for allegedly being overcharged and the item not fitting properly. I got home and was astonished that a receipt was not placed in my bag. I assumed from the conversation I overheard with the other customer, that returns were permitted. She was told to come back after Christmas, in order to give time for the business to look up her transaction. Not pleased with her resolution, she said it "was a pathetic way to run a business." Staff followed her out into the mall and I did not hear the resolution but was later told by staff that a $15.00 refund occurred. On 12/26/17, 2 days after the initial purchase, I attempted to return the unworn tee shirt that the person stated they would not wear and was told about the policy that is posted. I learned that the sign is posted on the inside of the square set up above the cash register, visible to mainly the employees. I understand the item would be hard to resell but suggested perhaps it could be used on the bust as a display or be offered at a discount for resale and I would take a reduced amount in the form of a refund. I was told there was nothing that could be done for the initial purchase but if I wanted to purchase a second tee shirt, I could do so for $20.00, instead of $30.00, a $10.00 savings. (I did not see a price list anywhere. I purchased the initial 3x shirt for $25.00 + $5.00 set fee + tax = $32.64, so I am not understanding the resolution offer either.) Bottom line - I should have trusted my gut instinct and walked away when the other customers-mom/daughter were so upset feeling the daughter had been overcharged buying her mother a tee-shirt for Christmas. This business is not listed on the BBB website, so I am writing here. I would recommend that customers stay far away from this business and that mall management track customer complaints regarding it. read more

It has stores I like, such as Starbucks, JCP, Ulta, Sears, Best Buy, TJMaxx, Annie's Pretzel. The mall is one level and quite small. This mall has a lot of mom & pop type stores. The play area outside Sears is nice and unique. There are lots of really cute "Quarter" rides for the little ones. However they are missing the kind of stores I am looking for. They do not have any kid only stores like Crazy 8 or The Disney Store. They do not do any children activities like the other malls do. The other malls have back to back awesome stores. There is no movie theater, no ice skating rink. I lost all interest in this mall when Old Navy store shut down. Then Ulta was built and that brought me to the mall because there wasn't another close one around. Ulta just built a brand new store in Tarpon Springs.... so now there is nothing bringing me back to Gulfview Square mall. Someone needs to completely redo the mall. My family spends their time in Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater or Citrus Mall in Tampa. read more

This is pretty much the worst mall I have ever been to. I know the economy is very difficult right now but maybe it would help if some of these big companies like Best Buy put some money into it. Might even make up what they put in and make a profit. It now is a dark, dingy place with very few stores of interest and it has many stores that are closed up. The only time I ever go to this mall is to visit JC Penny and rarely go into the mall section anymore as there isn't anything to draw me in. read more
