Christian sent additional pictures and measurements we requested, kept us in the loop on maintenance items being addressed, and made the entire buying experience easy and excellent! The dealership was good on their pricing, and even fed us lunch while we waited for the paperwork to be completed! And the food was good, what more could you ask for? And to top it off, our first oil change is on the dealership! They have great customer service and really treat their potential customers right! Called at 8am to confirm that we were still good to go, Stan confirmed it. Salesman then asks us to come now around 12 because he has someone on the way to buy it. They brought my vehicle in the service bay at 10:30 AM and diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes. Instead of fixing it, the labor only being 30 minutes max., and giving me my truck back, they sat a laptop on the fender and didn't do a THING to it for 3 hours while the mechanic worked on three other vehicles in the next three bays. For 1 1/2 hours, while I'm waiting in the service lobby, I walked out in the service bay (4) times and my truck sat idle, hood up, laptop on the radiator, doors open and NOBODY anywhere around it working to fix my issue They finally got it fixed around 4:30 PM that afternoon and charged me $185.00 shop fees for (4) hours. I paid $735.00 for a fix that should not have cost me $200.00. They did fix my problem, but it should not have cost me anywhere NEAR what it did. . read more

Ordered tires, paid for them over the phone, no mention or recommendation to perform an alignment. Also stated no appointment required just stop by and the tires will be installed. Get to the service department, the advisor is not here. I wait for an hour then I'm told my vehicle needs an alignment but they cant do it. This "service advisor" Ask me if that's my truck, pointing outside; where a black truck sits. I say no. I can't understand what he's saying because he has a mouth full of tobacco. Then he ask if Im having 4 tires put on, then I look across to the other building across the breezeway and see my truck on a lift through the window. I purchased a private party truck that had issues and ended up needing a new frame. Per Toyota they did not want to service my truck due to the condition of the frame and liability . I completely understood, and spent the last 2 months sourcing a new frame and finding someone to do the job. Fast forward to today I have a new suspension new rear end new frame rust free . My brakes are spongy and my alignment on my steering wheel is not aligned so I brought it in. 45 minutes later John the service manager and I speak and I am being told that he doesn't want to be married to my truck because of the rusted frame . I asked him if he even walked outside and saw that I have all new parts and new frame since the last time he saw it . Puzzled , walked outside and looked under my truck as if I was lying. Pretty terrible service if you ask me. If I bring you a job and I'm willing to pay money for that job to be completed you should be more grateful and less entitled to "cherry pick" customers and jobs. If I were the owner / GM and saw money being turned away I would be shocked. Money obviously isn't an object when it comes to upgrades or repairs on this truck . It's realistically a $6,000-$8,000 truck. I currently have about $20,000 into it. AND I DONT CARE. I will take my truck and my CASH that would be contributing to keeping the lights on at this place elsewhere. So everyone if you have a truck not under warranty support your local mom and pop places that work hard and don't just cherry pick jobs or focus on maintenance I.e oil changes only. read more

Only reason why I give them 3 stars is because of RJ, sales Manager at Nissan. If it wasn't for him I would give them ZERO stars. I came in two weeks ago on a Saturday to drop off my Altima to get an oil change and a tire rotation. This is my first time getting my car maintenance here. I dropped my car off around 12pm pregnant lady took my car keys asked me what I wanted, she took down my name, number, and address and told me she would give me a call when my car was done. I didn't sign any papers before I dropped off my car which was kind of weird to me. She didn't call me til 1:30pm, she informed me of other services my car needed, I declined the services since I just wanted the oil change and tire rotation. She let me know she would call me when my vehicle was done. It was already 3:30pm and I called to check on my vehicle since I never received a call back and a rude lady answered and said the service department was closed and there was nothing she can do to give me my vehicle back. At this point I'm furious since I was never informed that they close at 3pm today and I need my vehicle since I'm going out of town for work the next day. Went to the dealership to see if anyone in the sales department can help me & no one seemed to be able to help. All they were able to tell me was that service is closed and won't open til Monday. I was getting the same answer over and over again. Luckily RJ came to help. He seemed to actually have some sort of sympathy towards my situation. He called over to the manager at the service department told them he doesn't know what's going on but he needs to find a solution to give me my vehicle back. THAT TO ME is TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. After everyone seemed to just turn their back on me, RJ was there to actually find some sort of way to help. Thank you RJ for showing that there is always a way to help a customer. read more

have had such a horrible experience with them i got an oil change twice and both times my car oil was low I have called and told them of the problem so I went to Walmart the first time and brought a quart of oil and put it in my car then in august I let them change my oil again and it happen again so I call them and told them again but no one would let me speak to management so that time I went and brought oil from oreally in Clute tx and got someone to check the oil level and it was low with my car engine making a noise. So he put the oil in my car and it help the noise to calm down . So last Thursday my car engine blown out . So I call them and they only got my car towed there . But when speaking to me John he was rude and very aggressive that they were not at fault . So I asked to speak with another person so I got mr mark he call me and asked to speak to me about the situation at first he was on board with fixing my car and replacing my engine with no labor or cost to me but last Saturday it was no we are not fixing anything. So I have been asking to speak with the owner mr baldwin but nobody want to give him my information . So I would say don't buy here or let them do your service I been done wrong from being lied too . To being giving the run around and now being hassled Everyday . Stay away from this place I have no car now and do you think that care no they don't. I am a honorable person and that don't lie . Well where do I start, I bought a new 2019 Tahoe from gulf coast. Sales was very good but I can't say the same about corporate GM, or the stores GM Craig. My Tahoe has defects on both front bumpers from the factory. When I noticed the defect I contacted corporate GM which then led me to contact the store after a bit of run around. I go to the store and am told to wait for a call, no call so I contacted them and was given a date to bring the truck in for a corporate bobble head to look at. At this point on I'm 100% sure I'm gonna get jerked around. Corporate bobble head offers for a free bondo job and respray on my brand new Tahoe with 9k miles lol. I obviously turn down that ridiculous offer! So I call for the GM Craig. Craig is a very rude, smug guy. First off he walks up, opens my truck to look at miles and didn't even introduce him self to me! I'm from Texas so that pissed me off right off the bat. He then proceeds to ask if it was used? Did I buy it here? Why isn't our advertising plate on it? What's the electrical connector on your hitch? Obviously this clown is playing games which is even more irritating at this point. He then offers to pay 50%, this is also crazy! Why would I pay out of pocket for a factory defect that the service department at HIS DEALERSHIP missed during the make ready? Then corporate bobble head pretty much says take it or leave it. So I LEAVE IT. It'll be the last car I ever buy at Gulf Coast and the last GM Product I ever buy. The true test of a company is customer service which obviously GM doesn't have and especially Craig the GM. This review is on the Service Department, not sales... I had a recall on my Toyota. Called the 1-800 number and they patched me through to the closest dealership which happened to be this one in Angleton. Scheduled me for 8:20am with a vehicle from enterprise to be waiting for me. I arrived on time, handed over keys and was on my way within 30 minutes. (kudos to enterprise also) My vehicle was ready by 3pm that afternoon but I had other appointments to be at so when Jesse called I told him and he said it was fine to come in the morning. (Enterprise also said it was ok to have the vehicle for 24 hours, it was covered) I showed back up this morning around 8:20 and Jesse saw me right away, pulled my vehicle around, I handed over the rental keys and I was gone. The service department definitely exceeded my expectations, it was a smooth and quick process! Everyone was polite as soon as I walked in on both days! And I appreciate such good customer service when I wasn't spending a dime myself, the cost was covered by Toyota. read more

Dealer preformed 25000 mile service on my 13 tundra and the service tech didn't reinstall a drain plug on the transfer case which shouldn't have been touched to begin with and gave the truck back to me, I drove it for some time until the transfer case went out gulf coast Toyota refused to return my calls for over a week until I got corporate involved and they then said they "refuse to cooperate" and "are not responsible" leaving me with a large repair bill to my truck, I am discussed with this dealership, they are a disgrace to the name Toyota, boycott this dealer read more

I went in for an oil/filter change. The service manager told me that I needed $7000 in work for leaking oil gaskets and several other maintenance items that are not listed as being necessary on Toyota's schedule for my vehicle. I have been driving the vehicle for 4 months since that service - no leaking oil (at all). I think that they were just trying to increase revenue for the dealership. The service technician would not come and talk to me - it was the front office "sales rep" whose job seems to be to talk people into getting maintenance that is not even on Toyota's maintenance schedule (for example, replace FREON in my AC when the AC is working perfectly). Do not go here - they are not competent and should not be a Toyota dealer. read more

Never Use The Collision Department! I was lied to, blown off and had the worst customer service ever when damage to the rear hatchback of my 2016 Prius brought me to the collision department at Gulf Coast Toyota. For over a month they would not answer my calls, return my calls or let me know the status of my vehicle. Initially I was told the repairs would be around $2,000. The next week I called and was told the repairs would be over $5,000 and they could not get some of the parts for maybe a month or longer. At this point I contacted the collision manager who told me there was nothing they could do and offered no options. They threatened if I wanted to take it somewhere else they would charge me for the parts that they already ordered. When my insurance company intervened, magically they could get the parts in 2 weeks and the cost would only be $3,600. While my car was on the lot I received numerous calls to bring the vehicle in for a service, explaining each time that they were in possession of the car. I had to call daily for a week with my calls never returned to find out when the car would be ready. They could have cared less about anything except getting paid. read more

This review is about the Gulf Coast Nissan dealership. My sister recently bought a Nissan Versa at this dealership. My sister was called by a representative and told her license plate for the vehicle was available to be picked up. My sister is 64 y.o. & was in the hospital because she had fallen at home and broken her hip. When she came home she called the dealership and told them of her condition and that she would not be able to drive for 6 weeks. Also she lives alone. She asked if someone from the dealership could bring the new plate to her house and put them on for her. She was told yes, someone would be out that day to put them on. No one showed up. So the next day i called the dealership and was told that someone would be out that day to put the new plate on. No one showed up that day either!! i called several times that day and never was able to get someone on the phone or to call me back!! on the third day I finally spoke with Tim the Nissan manager. This being the third day of this ordeal i was pretty p-o'd!!! Tim had an attitude with me right from the start of the conversation! Then he proceeded to tell me that the reason the tags were not taken to my sister's house was because they were not there at the dealership! I asked him how is that possible? 2 weeks ago someone from the dealership called my sister while she was in the hospital & told her the plate was there, now they're NOT there?!! Tim had no explanation for why someone had called telling my sister her plate was in & was down right rude and in my opinion completely unprofessional for a manager of a dealership!!!! Needless to say my sister still does not have her new plate!!!! I hope this ordeal is resolved soon!! read more

I decided to come here because I expect professionalism and great service from a dealership. They were very unprofessional. They took FOREVER to do a simple oil change. I had an appointment and arrived early. No one came out to the bay to greet me and I had to figure out where to go on my own since I had never been there. There were a few people in the waiting room, and one gentleman said he was waiting over 2 hours for an oil change that was scheduled. I waited almost 2 hours. They are overpriced for their work and they had the receptionist go over my multi point inspection with me rather than someone who actually worked on my vehicle. She was not knowledgeable in vehicles or tires and no one stepped in to help her. They printed my invoice with someone else's personal information (their address and phone number) on it and handed it to me. That is not only unprofessional, but dangerous! They reprinted the invoice for me, but goodness...I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. read more

Took my 2018 Toyota Tundra in 3 times because the Brake controller is disconnecting constantly which means I have no brakes which is a major safety issue. I was told they are unaware of the issues when it is posted on every Tundra owner site out there. They told me they see issues with the 2017 models but not the the 2018. In my opinion Gulf coast service is terrible does not really care about helping and even listening to the customer. They decided to order a new Trailer wiring harness which I told them was not the issue. After it came in and I brought my truck back in I received a call that my harness was good which tells me they never even looked at it. In total they have had my Truck 4 days once over night and will not replace the controller ECU the real issue. Now they want me to bring in my trailer which I tested with my Dads 2018 GMC Canyon and had no issues with at all. They want to sell you a new vehicle but want you to jump through hoops if you have a problem. I've never had issues like this before!! read more

I recently went to have my oil changed at this dealership and had the worst most unprofessional experience at a Toyota dealership ever. I have been a loyal Toyota owner for years and have all my work done at dealership so its done professionally. So I went to Gulf Coast Toyota my business and not only did they not perform my oil change one of their "professional mechanics" wrecked my vehicle . It wasnt just a little scratch either, they completed wrecked my rear fender bumper and hatch then proceeded to wait over an hour to even notify me that they had wrecked my vehicle. I then spoke with the general manager who assured me he would take care of this and was extremely apologetic. He assured me that if I took care of this "in house" I would be compensated for the loss of value that my new 4runner would take. Obviosly if your vehicle is in any accident the value goes down. Well 2 weeks later after chasing the general manager down they gave me my wrecked vehicle back with not so much as a formal appology. I would never send anyone to this dealership for even a simple oil change they are crooks!! Hope this helps another person so they dont make the same mistake as I did. Needless to say I will now have to get my lawyer involved in what was a simple oil change turned nightmare. Do yourself a favor take your business to another Toyota dealer. read more
