The other day I was on a hunt for a lime and a jalapeno. Two little things, fairly simple. I stop in and, well, they had both, but essentially all of their veggies and fruit had turned or were at least a bit brown. Completely turned me off and I did not buy anything there. Also, both times I've been, the shelves are half empty. Maybe the store is too big? But it just looks..half done? It looked like this when I went last year and figured, "Okay, they just opened recently. Maybe it will take a little more time to stock up." But it looked identical the other day. Unfortunately with the produce looking as it did, I am now kind of turned off to going back there for any other items, either.

This Cumberland farms is smaller, it doesn't have the freshly heated up food or half of the stuff…read morethe larger Cumberland Farms have. It's also missing fountain sodas. It's gas is a little higher priced than the one in Wallingford as well. Sometimes I go out of my way to another one if I want something from Cumberland Farms because this one has a quarter of the stuff. However, it's close by so it is convenient for me if I need something quick or procrastinated and need gas now. But more than a few times I've gone in there looking for something and left and went to a different Cumberland farms.

This is one of my favorite convenience stores. My most purchased item would be a bottle of Poland Spring water for $1.00. I've never had to wait on line in this place! I just grab what I want, leave the money on the counter, and walk out. They are the fastest convenience store stop in all of Connecticut for sure. They also have a full deli and grocery if you got the munchies. The staff is always very friendly. It doesn't look like much from the outside but I feel like this place is really great!

They also have some unique choices like Tates cookies and some unique branded food items. The decor inside has a rustic/ski lodge look and it is very different than your typical convenient store. The guy I talk with every time is a very personalable guy and will gladly have a quick chat about something. The cold beverages are priced fairly and the convenience items are priced well as well. Sometimes WINZZ even competes to be the lowest gas prices around (were featured on a news station a couple years back) but don't always have to be as they are your first stop off the highway. All-in-all there is no room for improvement here. They have some cool and unique here. Especially with all the Cumberland Farms popping up in the area.
