My wife and I decided to eat here for the first time the other day and were not very impressed with…read morethe food. Our server was nice and the service was quick. The ambiance was good and they had plenty of TVs for watching sports. The parking lot is a little tight depending on where some trucks or cars park. We are always excited to try new Mexican restaurants but the food here was ok. We ordered queso for the chips, tried their La Casita Eggrolls, Burritos Tapatios, and the La Casita Steak Ranchera. Every dish came with refried beans and rice. The queso for the chips was pretty good and their chips were good as well. Their salsa was ok as well. The eggrolls were ok and the eggroll rappers were a little chewy. It came with two dipping cups with ranch and guacamole in one and salsa and sour cream in the other. Their ranch was pretty good and saved the dish in my opinion. Now onto the main course meals. I ordered the Burritos Tapatios with grilled chicken and it was ok. The chicken has some sauce on it but it was still bland. The chicken itself was also tough so possibly overcooked. The refried beans were also bland and their rice was dry and crunchy in some spots. My wife ordered the La Casita Steak Ranchera and she thought it was not the best. The meat was covered in their tapatio sauce but it still tasted bland. The meat itself also had this weird funky taste to it as if the meat was not good. The refried beans were also bland and the rice was dry and crunchy in some spots as well. Overall, this place is ok and our experience was alright as well. Going off of our visit, we will not be back to this place and I recommend not coming here.

Maybe the service? Salsa is good. Queso was different. Perhaps a different palate than mine. Grayish colored guacamole just doesn't work for me. Not sure if the rice is made in house, or just Knorr/Lipton dry packed. A lot of slopped on onions and green peppers on everything. My rellenos was pretty good. I'd prefer to go somewhere that has not overly Americanized what already is overly Americanized. I gotta pass, but I gotta tell the facts. The service here is great. Typical Mexican restaurant ambience. The food? I am getting angrier and…read moreangrier as I leave that my husband didn't let me tell management how horrific it was. The salsa is like lesser than Dollar General tomato sauce with a chunk or two of tomato and dashes of hot sauce. Stale bagged tortilla chips. I get there will be gristle in a steak bite here or there, but I had to spit out every single bite. We intended to split a steak fajita dish, but got charged for "fajitas for two". Didn't say anything because the server was very sweet, and maybe I can make omelettes in the morning with the left overs for my kids who haven't developed a palate. I am just appalled and would NOT recommend. The best part of our one and only RARE date night having to have randomly come to Gray is that we just joked on the restaurant all dinner through. Update 3/10/2025 I really love this restaurant but…read moreunfortunately came to update my review to 1star. Normally I enjoy a sit down meal here but as it's rainy I decided to call in to order. I called at 2:54pm. When a man answered I asked if this was the Bowman location to make sure before placing my order, I believe he was having trouble understanding my question and asked me to hold. After he sat the phone down I could hear another man in the back telling him repeatedly "I am not taking a to go order". That man then comes to the phone & sounding agitated says "HELLO?" I respond by asking "are you all not taking to orders" being that I'd just overheard the conversation prior to him finally coming to the phone. He responds by saying "who is this" like what? A possible customer. I tell him that I was calling to place an order but overheard him saying he wasn't taking an order. He then puts the phone down without responding and I hear him tell the original man to take my order. The original man says he'll take my order but at this point my husband who is also listening to the call tells me we aren't eating here anymore. So i let the man on the phone know and hang up. The whole ordeal was odd, rude and disappointing to say the least. Our family really enjoys eating here but will probably not be returning, and definitely never calling again.
