I've always felt like I've gotten great service here. I don't think it would matter if you spent $30, $300, or $3000 on any given day. These guys have always been enthusiastic and earnest about helping to meet needs for instruments and other musical gear. I know absolutely nothing about guitars but my talented grandson does. We happened to be in Pittsburgh returning to Columbus. He asked nicely if we could stop and especially since this is just a tiny bit off I79, we obliged him. There is a huge selection of guitars that my grandson thought were very fairly priced. I was interested in eavesdropping on customer conversations and was impressed with the breath of knowledge exhibited. They seem to be interested in getting you the right guitar rather than which guitar will yield them the most money. Plus they are not a chain!!! Cameron was very impressed and while he did not buy anything this trip, he feels that it is worth the 2.5 hour drive from Columbus to make a purchase. read more

This was my first time in Guitar Gallery, but it definitely won't be my last. Guitar Gallery had a nice selection of Gibson, Epiphone, Fender, and Gretsch guitars . I didn't look in the acoustic room or at the basses. They also had Marshall, Peavey, Blackstar, and Fender amps. I was very surprised by the prices, at Guitar Gallery. Before I walked in the door, I figured I would have to haggle to get down to the regular price of online retailers, but they had better prices than the big online retailers WITHOUT haggling. I don't know if I could have gotten a little better of a price, but with the service I received and the prices already being so fair, I didn't even care to haggle. I dealt with Tim and Jimmy, and both them them were very friendly and knowledgeable. They are musicians and not salespeople, and that was easy to tell. They gave me information on the products, but I never felt like they were trying to do a hard sell on me. It is impossible to evaluate guitars when someone is trying to pressure you into buying something, and I never felt like that at Guitar Gallery. I was there until close to closing time, when I finally made my decision on which guitar to take home. I have worked retail before, and because of this, try to be conscientious about the closing time of a store, and be out so they have time to close up. I was content on setting the guitar up myself, but Jimmy made a minor repair for me and Tim insisted on setting the guitar up, even though doing so put both of them there past closing time. It is hard to find people who still take pride in their work, the way that these guys do. I would recommend Guitar Gallery to anyone. Even though the store isn't local to me, I will definitely be back. It was worth the road trip. read more

I can't emphasize enough how much I would recommend that if you're looking for a Les Paul, you should go here. Their selection, service, and prices are unmatched (I swear to you I don't work for them, I just bought a Les Paul Traditional there yesterday though and am pretty pumped about it). Instead of 1 or 2 (at the most) options at one of the larger music stores, Guitar Gallery has dozens to choose from (both Standard and Traditional, as well as others). I found several there that I was interested in, Tim manually adjusted each one on the spot for me to try out (even after the store closed) so that I could properly narrow down my selection until I found just the right one. Oh and by the way, their prices are significantly below the larger stores as well...even when the larger stores have significant sales(15% off), Guitar Gallery's prices are still cheaper. read more

Horrible customer experience. Very unprofessional. Bought an Alvarez jr model a year and half ago but neck began to twist and bow upward (confirmed by other guitar shop). I took it back to Guitar Center and owner(?) of shop immediately said he was going to call to "bitch out" other shop for badgering his customers. He then was rude and condescending to me after I asked him not to do that. I packed up guitar, told him that is not way to do business, and he said "there is the door buddy". Ridiculously poor way to treat customers. read more

Been coming here for years, and probably have spent thousands of dollars. Vic Dapra is not only a nice guy, he is a well recognized expert on vintage Les Pauls- with Gibson making tribute models in his name. Quite simply stated- if you are looking for a guitar, there is no other place to go in the area but here. They also have a nice range of amps, effects, and accessories, and recently have started carrying Fender guitars- in addition to the Gibsons they are known for, as well as Gretsch, Epiphone, PRS, and frequently you can find nice used guitars there. They have lessons available, and never look down on new players, or parents coming in to find a guitar for their kid- they won't steer you wrong. I have Never had a bad experience here- from the first time I walked in the door through all the years. Other players I know share the same hope that this place never goes away. read more
