Inside you will find a number of collectible vinyl records for decent prices as well as many other random items and some vintage clothing. In coming here I wasn't to sure what to expect but what we found was an awesome little shop that's keeping the music scene alive by having shows of all different types of music to entertain the crowd. During music events it seems as if you have to enter through the back alley way which is kinda nice because there is a decent size parking lot there and you don't have to walk to far. The shop itself is rather small as in there was about 30 people here watching the band and it was packed just enough so that it wasn't hard to move around. The sound was awesome all the bands sounded really good and overall this was a great time as the people who own the store were very nice and helpful as well. Overall if your looking to see a band in a small shop that's full of super cool vinyl and just a totally positive environment overall then you've found the place! I'm not sure when I will be back here again but I'd definitely come back as we had a good time and enjoyed an awesome music event!

I had to find a local option so I began my research. I came across several candidates, but none even came close to Jon from Guitar Tune Ups. His reviews are immaculate, which was my first green flag. His prices are unmatched, which was yet another plus, but the most notable quality to me was his ease to communicate with and ease to set up an appointment. For some reason the other shops I contacted seem to think themselves too good for the customer, but Jon is a guitar enthusiast and that is the biggest green flag to me. He is doing it for the craft and that is a man I can trust with my collection. He even took my work schedule into consideration and worked around it! Though I ended up keeping the guitar, I will likely be going to the other company for future purchases.

He asked what I needed, and I explained that my acoustic guitar had a broken peg tuner. I already had the replacement part with me, so I handed it over. Instead of jumping straight into recommendations or upselling, he immediately tried to fix it on the spot. Once he confirmed it was repairable, he quickly cut the string, replaced the tuner, and got everything back in place. The whole process took less than 10 minutes! I live in Carson, so driving out to Lakewood and getting it fixed the same day was such a relief. This guitar isn't for professional use--it's for my daughter who's just starting to learn--so having it ready right away saved me a lot of time and hassle. He even tuned it by ear in seconds, which was really impressive. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience. I really appreciated the quick, no-nonsense service and would definitely come back again for future repairs!

In other words, this once beautiful instrument had lost much of its luster! As the result of a referral from a respected friend, I contacted Piano Artisans and spoke with Amber. We also traded e-mails with me sending her photos of our piano and she explaining the options and process for restoring the finish. She was able to schedule an appointment to have the work done in our home within about a week from initial contact. The piano technician Jon showed up precisely on time and went to work polishing every inch of the piano case for a good 5 hours! At the end of the day, I almost couldn't believe my eyes. The result was nothing short of miraculous! Our piano looked like the day it was purchased over 30 years ago. No exageration. Jon was the penultimate craftsman, taking his time and making sure it was as perfect as it could be. And he was polite, courteous and professional. In other words, Piano Artisans far exceeded my already very high expectations. I would trust them with any and all piano related work that needs to be done.
