Several staff members helped me through the process and did a full "foot evaluation." This is where they measure you and make you walk, so they can tell exactly what brand and size is best for you. The staff here are friendly and the prices don't indicate that they are (were) the only show in town. Store is clean and organized (men's and women's have their own areas). Small selection of actual sporting equipment on hand. For the size of store, a really good selection of shoes to browse, but another nice thing, they aren't so crowded that nobody offers to help you. They are good about checking on you and making sure that you don't need any help for anything which is a nice touch. I was immediately greeted by the staff and was asked if I needed help. The place truly looks like a place where people who spend time in the outdoors shop, so I was kind of happy to be there. After looking around for a few minutes I found a rack with some awesome bamboo hoodies from a company called Free Fly. I'd never heard of the company, but I immediately thought it was one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I've ever felt. It was reasonably priced so I bought it, and wore it pretty much the entire time I was in Birmingham. Perhaps an even higher testament to the quality of the product was this: as soon as I flew home my wife felt the hoodie, and immediately claimed it as her own.
