After calling 3 plumbers on a Sunday morning to come look at my water heater that wasn't working. I called Guardian Plumbers. Howard came out at no charge to look at it and gave me options. I thought this was awesome since everyone else wanted to charge me $100 just to look at it. I ended up replacing my 12 year old water heater and can't thank Howard and this company enough for the amazing work and customer service. read more

David Lopez was very courteous, respectful and did a great job hooking up my appliances to an existing gas line. He helped me fill my firepit with the fire glass which was not part of the job. The prices were the best I've seen. They were the lowest out of 4 companies I sought. Highly recomend Guardian for your plumbing needs. read more

Guardian came out for repair on my Rinnai Tankless water heater. The Repair Code on the unit was 11 on the unit and Guardian plumber told me he had to call Rinnai to determine what the code represented. I was told by Guardian Plumbing just to make the call the charge would be $250.00. When I said this was a SCAM! the Guardian tech said, he would call them just to see what the problem was at no cost for the call. Guardian ordered the parts at no cost because it was under warranty, and went on to tell me the charge would be $450 to install them. I called and spoke with Dave the manager and explained what happened, I told him I wanted to be fair and pay them for their service, just not the crazy $450.00. He called me back and said I can pay the $59.00 service call fee and pick up my parts. This job was literally a 30 minute job for me and a Phillips screwdriver. BTW, when I called Rinnai and told them it was showing an error code of number 11 they told me what the problem was. No mention of a $250.00 fee. Same experience as review Medí S. On 5/16/2022. They toss out a fee and see if you go for it. Be very cautious if you choose to call this company. Everybody was very nice, but I do not feel they had any concern for my problem and they will Charge you more than they should if you let them. read more

Amazing service! Anthony was professional- knowledgeable and honest! He fixed my problem in a few minutes and I will ask for him personally in the future! I had called several places before and nobody was able to come immediately- but Guardian gave us service asap! read more

Matt at Guardian contacted us after our last review and gave us a reasonable explanation for the delay in getting back to us. He then had Jesse respond to the house where he completely redid what the previous worker, Henry had done. He explained that Henry no longer worked for Guardian because his work had not met their standards. The quality of the work done by Jesse was very good. Matt and Jesse did not ask for additional money for this work. I would now recommend and I would gladly use Guardian Plumbers again. read more

I am compelled again to leave another RAVE REVIEW for Guardian Plumbers' JOSH. I had another plumbing issue come up and was totally panicked.... Josh arrived and saved me a LOT of worry and hardship, fixed the problem in such a timely manner and again, the price was unbelievably inexpensive! I will NEVER GO TO ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT GUARDIAN and will recommend to all my friends and neighbors! It is so hard to find honest help like Guardian Plumbers. Thank you Josh and GP!! read more

I've used different services and just felt like it's some guy doing a job, waiting to go home. But, Matt and his team breaks that view. They were responsive to my first call, and not only did they talk to me to understand what I was calling about, but explained what was wrong, and how to avoid it in the future. That's what blew my mind, rather than just letting me go on waiting for the problem to come back and get more business, they truly helped me avoid future problems. I have since referred my friends to use these guys, and was told the service was just as good as mine. This is a customer oriented group of people. read more

They had a hard job and did it! Very nice and honest. Congrats you are my new plumber!

I am a realtor in the Temecula/Murrieta valley and needed a plumber because after our Easter celebration in our house the toilet in the main bathroom would not flush correctly. After buying a 3ft snake and running it down the toilet the blockage would not go away. I called my co-worker for a reference and he referred me to Guardian Plumbing Jesse Arviso. Jesse had worked on an interior wall plumbing leak. His attitude and quality of the work were outstanding plus the price was very competitive. When I called Jesse Arviso regarding my slow draining toilet he was very easy to work with and came out right away. Jesse used a 6ft snake to open up the drain but noticed their was still a feeling of a blockage. He proceeded to use a sophisticated snake with a camera to locate the problem. He actually identified it as the remains of a drain test plug probably from the original construction over 12 years ago. He had to remove tile, cement and dirt to get to the drain pipe in my bathroom. When he removed the section of pipe that was blocked he found a large section of the test plug he said was causing the problem in the first place. I am grateful and very satisfied with the work that Jesse performed. His quote was accurate and competitive. He was neat, friendly and has my respect for his knowledge and work habits. I will refer him to everyone in my Real Estate contacts as well as my friends. This was a great experience. Jesse is remarkable. Fred G. in Wildomar read more

After going through 2 years of a terrible smell coming from one of our bathrooms every time the wind blew, a handful of plumbers who had no idea where the smell was coming from, or how to fix it and a nice sized dent in the pocket book, we called Guardian Plumbers...AND WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! Jesse came the first time and immediately identified one of the problems and fixed it. Jesse told us that there may be more problems because the smell had been coming from the opposite side of the house, and that we may need to do a "smoke test." We decided to wait and see if the smell came back. Sure enough it did, so we called Jesse at Guardian Plumbers and he and JD came out to our home, did the smoke test, and had a broken (or rather chewed through, yuck!) ventilation pipe in our attic replaced in no time, at a very fair cost. We are so grateful to have found Jesse at Guardian Plumbers. He is very knowledgeable, professional and does a great job! After dealing with other plumbers who "know it all" or have "X" number of years experience, yet could not fix or even find the problem...not to mention not even offer a test, but simply guess and charge us for things completely unrelated, and most likely not even broken, we will not be calling any plumbing company besides Guardian Plumbers from now on! Thank you so much Jesse and JD! You guys are awesome! read more

We can't say enough good things about Guardian Plumbers! We had a slab leak in our floor and wall right in the middle of the house. I found them late at night online and emailed them and they were at our house the next day. Matt and Ricky took the time to make sure they were confident it was truly a slab leak and once they were sure, gave us a couple of different options to repair it without any pressure whatsoever on us to choose the most expensive one. They recommended the water damage restoration co. that could come and clean up the mess and prep it for the repairs and once it was ready they got to work and were diligent to get everything done professionally and thoroughly with no games or tricks. Matt, the owner of Guardian, even facilitated our bathroom and floor remodel! He referred us to an excellent tiling company and drywaller but did all the rest of the demo and remodeling himself with just one of his employees. The bathroom looks beautiful and is way nicer than it was before and we are so happy with the results. Matt is very conscientious, honest, reliable, highly skilled and a true professional all the way. And his prices were very reasonable. He's also the quietest construction worker we've ever seen! Sometimes you hardly knew he was here even though he was working right in the middle of the house. We feel like we hit the jackpot with Matt and Guardian Plumbers. He's going to be our plumber for life, no more messing around with shysters. read more

I called Guardian Plumbing on Sunday and they were very responsive in sending out a technician to look at the issues we have. He indicated that he did not carry the parts on the truck and that he would have to do a stock check and/or order the parts. The technician told me that he would call and email me the next day with the information. He did not. I called them again late Monday afternoon and the receptionist told me she would contact the technician and have him contact me. Well, it's now late Tuesday afternoon and still no one has called so I called them back to let them know that I would be getting another company to help me. read more

My toilet and tub were backing up so I googled emergency plumber. Guardian was at the top of the list and I called. They advised me that John Wallace would be coming out to fix the issue. I received notification from John that he would be out in 30-45 min. That was pretty quick for it being 11pm. He was very approachable and professional. A nice dude. He checked out the issue gave me a reasonable quote and went to work. He did an awesome job and fixed the issue in a quick timely fashion. I am very appreciative. He also was going to have my system inspected on a later date free of charge. That is GREAT customer service. I recommend this guy. read more

Our company removed a palm tree for a homeowner in Menifee/Sun City and we paid Guardian $750 to repair a mainline. The homeowner called us to say the repair failed. I sent my crew to expose the main line and the repair was substandard and failed at the joint. I contacted Guardian and they told me because it has been six months they will not stand behind their work and said it was only covered for 30 days. I understand 30 day warranties, however this should have never failed. And it certainly should not fail in a 6-month period. The work was substandard. Any company with any sense of pride, especially a licensed contractor would understand that regardless of any written warranty this should NOT have failed. What a shame that these people are unwilling to stand behind their repair work and moreover are willing to leave a homeowner hanging. Any reputable plumber would have fixed the issue simply out of pride in their work. --- Response to Guardian Reply... When I contacted Guardian they told me there was only a 30-day warranty. They told me they ARE NOT responsible for any repairs and were unwilling to do anything. It was not until I had my crew expose the main water line and clearly saw Guardian's failed substandard repair that they were willing to send a technician to take a look but could not guarantee a time and refused to provide me the phone number to the technician. Furthermore, Guardian stated all they would be doing is inspecting the work and provided no assurance they would repair it. Basically they told me wait several hours and then maybe, just maybe we might fix it. When they finally called around 5:18pm (several hours later) we already repaired the line ourselves. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to the amazing crew of Guardian Plumbers. They helped us out with diagnosing and repairing a slab leak. Everything was performed with professionalism and courtesy, and they completely explained every step of the process. Their skill and experience really shows. The insurance company was shocked at how on the ball Guardian Plumbers were when I was able to explain all of the steps Guardian took to fix our situation quickly and efficiently, and Jesse even took tons of pictures and documented everything every step of the way. He emailed me probably 2 dozen pictures that I can use as my insurance company processes our claim. They were also extremely fast and responsive, and their phone and text dispatch was super friendly and helpful. I would describe Guardian Plumbers as the best combination of a small, family-owned local business together with experienced professionalism. I am a realtor and come across tradespeople all the time and the good ones really rise above the crowd, and I can tell Guardian Plumbers are the real deal. A solid recommend. read more

We have had Guardian plumbing come to our house for service calls on two prior occasions before this most recent time. I was satisfied with them on those calls, both with regard to the work they did and the price they charged. But their most recent visit was shocking, in terms of what they charged. The work we wanted done was installing a new faucet and drain assembly that we had already purchased in one bathroom sink, and clearing a clogged drain in another bathroom sink. After we showed the plumber, Anthony R, what we wanted, he said he would go back to his truck to prepare an estimate and come back with the estimate. So he went to his truck. After 15 minutes he came back and gave us a verbal estimate of nearly $400!! This was just for labor since we had already purchased the new faucet/drain ourselves. I made a quick decision, one that I now regret, and told him to go ahead and do the work. Both projects combined took him a little less than an hour to complete, including reworking the sink drain assembly that we pointed out was difficult to operate after he said he was finished with it. Plus the clogged drain did not require snaking, just flushing out the drain pipe under the sink. And for a little less than an hour he wanted nearly $400! He gave me a senior discount, only because I asked for it, and reduced the bill to $346. That is an absurd price to pay for less than an hour's work. By comparison, 16 months ago a different plumber from Guardian came to our house to install a kitchen sink faucet. That faucet did not include a drain but was a more elaborate faucet than the one Anthony installed in our bathroom. When that other plumber came into our house, we showed him the new faucet we had already bought and the kitchen sink where we wanted it to replace the old faucet. He took a quick look at the faucet and the sink, and told us immediately that the cost would be $85 (without a senior discount which at the time I didn't know I could ask for). He did not go back to his truck to prepare the estimate. And he did not take 15 minutes doing who knows what to come up with that price. The amount of time this plumber took to install the kitchen faucet was a little less than the time Anthony took to do the work he did a few days ago, but not by that much. To give another comparison to Guardian's current outlandish pricing, before Anthony did the work, I asked him how much he would charge to install just the faucet and drain on one sink. He said it would cost $289. That's compared to $85 sixteen months ago for a kitchen faucet installation. I really wonder about the 15 minutes Anthony took to prepare his estimate. Guardian Plumbing has gone paperless, and Anthony used a computer tablet to prepare his estimate. But why did it take 15 minutes? Did he not know how to use the tablet? Did he communicate with other Guardian employees to determine how much they thought they could charge us? Neither one of those possibilities gave us a warm feeling that Anthony was comfortable making estimates. And when you add in the fact that just 16 months ago a different Guardian plumber gave us an instant estimate of hundreds of dollars less for a similar amount of work, that makes us wonder even more. Also, since Guardian is now paperless, Anthony left our house without giving us a receipt for the work he did. He said the company would email us a receipt. But three business days later we still had not received a receipt. I called Guardian and asked them why. They checked and said their email to us had bounced because it must have had an incorrect email address on it. But they clearly did have our correct email address, because within minutes of Anthony leaving our house, we received an email from Guardian asking us to evaluate their work. Assuming their first attempt to send us a receipt really did bounce, wouldn't it have been more customer-friendly to call us right away and ask us what our correct email address was, rather than let 3 days go by without doing anything? I am aware that Guardian has many positive reviews on this site. I find it impossible to believe that they received those reviews charging what they charged us. And I doubt very much that they will receive many more positive reviews if they continue to charge close to four hundred dollars for less than an hour's work. They certainly won't be getting any more work from us. read more
