Went from "we need one additional bank record" to "sorry, your wife's income no longer can be used", in the matter of two days. Don't count on anybody's word nor written words at STCU. What they ultimately suggested I consider (when they completely changed course and commitment) would have required an additional $12,000.00 of my money and a seller willing to pick up closing costs (LOL). In no way did their suggested option resemble anything that had ever been suggested or previously discussed. Spin all you want STCU, you did me very wrong and you have been as far from "open" as is possible. I did my part, you did not. You wasted valuable time and gave me false hope, repeatedly. Feel free to contact me and get all the details. BCU, or Backtrackers Credit Union, would be a far more appropriate name. I was able to go somewhere else and get pre approved for 250k within 24 hours but STCU had wasted so much time that I wasn't able to find a house soon enough to terminate my next one year lease renewal.
