He recommended that we install two GFI protected circuit breakers on circuits that weren't grounded, and in doing so we uncovered a problem with the way one of the circuits was wired as turning on the kitchen lights caused the new GFI breaker to trip. Extremely frustrating experience and a complete waste of my time…read more I contacted Villa Electric because I needed an actual diagnostic evaluation of my home's electrical system and panel--not someone to simply come out, look around, and give me estimates for future work. I explained what I needed and specifically asked what they charge for the diagnostic service. I asked twice and never received a price. Instead, Ramon repeatedly told me that estimates are free and that there would be a charge if the technician had to troubleshoot or diagnose anything. That was exactly what I was asking to have done, so naturally my question was: what is the charge? Somehow I still couldn't get a straight answer. I finally canceled the appointment and hired another electrician. I gave the other electrician essentially the same information, and he immediately understood what I wanted, quoted me his $160/hour diagnostic rate, explained what he could inspect, and scheduled the appointment. Simple. What really sealed my opinion of Villa Electric was Ramon's response after I canceled. He told me that "there's no other company out there in the market" that would do more for customers in terms of pricing and quality. That's a pretty remarkable claim to make about your pricing when you've repeatedly refused to tell the customer what your pricing actually is. When I pointed out that contradiction, his entire response was: "Thank you." I can't comment on their electrical work because I never let the process get that far. I can comment on my experience trying to hire them: poor communication, no pricing transparency, and a dismissive attitude when I explained why I was taking my business elsewhere. There are plenty of electricians to choose from. I shouldn't have to chase a company for a straight answer about what they're going to charge me before I agree to diagnostic work in my home. I wouldn't waste my time with Villa Electric again.

Only issue that I did not notice till later is that they actually had changed out to from a stealth to a trident but they had upped the version. Initially I was surprised by this but since it was a larger system and it was still able to be powered I did not have any issues.
