My daughter paid for a 2 hour lesson and after ordering it we ended up reading some of their bad reviews on line and were quite concerned. We met at the office at 11am and Larry (I think that's his name) took my daughter out for a 2 hour lesson in their car. I met them back at 1pm and all went very well. My daughter said Larry was patient and was very helpful and informative teaching her and giving her driving tips. He drove her through 3 basic Redlands dmv routes and had her practice reversing. When i spoke to him at the end he said she did really well but she just needs some self confidence in her driving he did great giving her positive feedback and helped encourage her to be confident in her driving. She hasn't taken her test yet but I just wanted to leave a review to say our experience was quite the opposite of all their bad reviews. If I would have read their bad reviews first I wouldn't have chose them and that would have been unfortunate for us because we had a great experience and their price is far cheaper than the average driving school. read more

Their instruction is fine, it's everything else that needs addressing. They do not return calls promptly, and booking a session that same month is impossible. They're always late. One time the instructor was 40 minutes late. Their schedule is so overbooked and far out that my daughter would have to wait several months to make up that time. They wouldn't refund the difference. Also, to make up for 10 minutes of that late time, my daughter had to pick up another kid who would then drive her home. They don't tell you that part of the time the students are sharing instruction time with another kid driving. They book 2 hour sessions back to back without allotting time inbetween to get to the next appointment, so they make kids overlap their session because they're always late. The other kid could cause an accident with your kid in the car. They say they wouldn't let a student drive another kid if they felt he/she wasn't capable. Even though they have insurance, you never know. Money doesn't always fix injuries. Also, we don't want some strange kid driving to our house. They need more instructors and should schedule appointments apart factoring in delays and transition time. The kids end up getting shorted their one on one time as a result. They say that's part of their program. Well then they need to disclose that up front. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! (This is a long story ,made longer!) I recommend thinking twice before using this company. I bought three lessons for my son. Making appointments and getting anyone to call you back is like scaling a mountain blindfolded, IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Apparently, their business model is: "don't call us , we will call you" ... I purchased the driving lessons in August 2019 and my son didn't have his first driving lesson until Sep 20 . They then said they would call us back the following week and I didn't hear again from their company until LAST week (November!) It took me multiple phones calls with leaving voice messages to receive a call back! Which I did get a call back and was only able to schedule an appointment at 5 pm on Saturday?? (Geez thanks!) So today, I called because I needed to reschedule, so I asked to make two appointments because it's so difficult getting through to anyone. I was told that's "not our policy" ..... AHHHH (remember they're policy is "don't call us , we'll call you") so... I ask to speak to someone else and this gal puts some dude named Larry on the phone... who is VERY condescending. Larry is a interesting fellow, right from the gate he doesn't want to know why I'm calling, and answers the phone with music blasting in the background and a "yeah" (again, these folks are very organized and super friendly) Apparently I am not worth his time because while I was trying to explain my frustration he decided to speak over me then tell me to quit talking! ( can you believe that!?, at this rate I can!) I then told him he had horrible customer service to which he replied we're not in the business of customer service? WTF?! I then told him I just want my money back because I don't have trust in their company to follow through with what they have promised... well of course as organized as this company is they probably don't have two nickels to rub together to refund my money! (AGAIN super classy company).... Which of course "they don't do that" I told him I was going to blast him on Yelp about their company to which he said "don't threaten me"... oh dear! He should be shaking in his boots! Whelp so here we are... my son has no appointment I've paid their fees and wouldn't you know it NO ONE is answering their phones!!!! This is an office that is dependable, rain or shine, and is always available for any questions. You can call or email and they will respond right away. They are also the best in prices! I have shopped around and some of the other businesses were higher in price and they were booked till June. Guardian Angels has helped us tremendously! Richard, the instructor has taught our son and gave him a lot of advice and information. I also love the fact that they call and email you reminders of upcoming lessons. Oh my goodness what a horrible experience. This school is connected to a church and holds themselves under the guise of being Christian. This is what blows my mind. The owner Larry and all his family run this school. They are all nothing less than unprofessional and frankly, mean. The first lesson, our son was cut short by a half hour and taken on the freeway. They called and changed days and times countless times. We knew very quickly we did not want to go forward with this school and received less than a refund we should have received and when I went to pick it up was met by this HUGE mean and gruff man who made me wait outside in the parking lot. This Larry was incredibly ABUSIVE in his mannerisms and words to me- a woman. I'm appalled this driving school. Shameful is the only word I can use to describe them. I've sent both my kids to Guardian Angels and they are both good drivers. So highly recommended. Reasonably priced and effective. Mom & Dad should still invest in their children and teach them to be excellent drivers themselves. Don't just leave it to the school to do everything. read more

Seriously excellent7 yrs ago enrolled my daughter for the services required to take the final drivers license test at the dmv. Finished with the tools and knowledge to be safe and confident. 6 yrs later my soon decides to do AAA on-line finding out thats just the first step of three steps that i was not aware of. That made me realize how well and thorough Guardian Angel program is. I now know how well "taken Care of" i had been completing the necessary steps in the hands of this establishment. If I could give them a ZERO I most definitely would! I have been waiting for my daughters behind- the - wheel driving class to begin but have had absolutely no luck in getting a hold of, a call back or any sort of communication (email, text) from Guardian. They took my money and ran with it, $400 of it gone! They should be ashamed of themselves! I am waiting on a call back from a couple of attorneys to take them to court and get my money back and aid those who they've also ripped off. I find it interesting how in one of the the reviews the owner, Heather B (?), actually responds and has the audacity to say we need to be understanding of it all since the whole mess (COVID-19) and only being down to one instructor. Not happy with this school on how they schedule for the behind the wheel training. My son had 3 classes and didn't learn anything with any of the instructors. They didnt talk to him and let him know what he needed to improve on or anything. Plus they took him places where he should of not gone too. I had to take him to another school to get the proper training he needed. The other school taught him well and he passed his behind the wheel test with the help of the other school I had to take him too. I don't recommend them for behind the wheel training classes. They need better instructors that are willing to train properly. read more

I took classes for myself. Had Mrs hether as instructor. I honestly had 0 behind the wheel confidence. She gave me 5 lessons and i was ready to go on the road. Passed my test second time. First time failing was not due to poor driving. There was some issue with ppr work. She definately knows what she is doing. Follows our pace. Appointment making was always easy and she always give a reminder call. My experience with her is definately a five star. read more

I purchased 3 lesson. I had one lesson months before COVID. Had I not called to schedule the second I don't believe I would have gotten a call to schedule a second appointment. Unfortunately, we didn't have the second lesson due to COVID. Approximately 7 weeks ago the business reopened and I was told there was one Driving Instructor and I would be receiving a call, of which I had to call because I didn't receive a call from the business. My daughter earned her permit in November 15 or 16, 2019. As of today, June 8, 2020, we still have not received a call for a second, 2 hour lesson. No call, no letter or follow up of any kind! read more

Very nice staff. I myself, had Lee, Leanne, and Lovee. They were all very nice, and patient with me each driving lesson. They would call to make an appointment a week or so after the lesson. The only con I have is I felt like I could've been taught more. I feel like they just had me drive with supervision at times. I went with this driving school for my 16 year old. The driving instructors were great! However their front office receptionist Michelle is horrible to work with. At initial contact, she was all over the place not being able to keep her thoughts straight, she definitely seemed overwhelmed. I decided to proceed with the company, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day as we all have sometimes, which is very understandable. I soon realized this was not a one time situation. She asked me to email her certain dates so she can ensure to put my daughter on the schedule, not sure why she wasn't able to keep track of that herself, you would think since she sets up the schedule, she would know who needs to be scheduled. Anyways, again I went ahead and did as she asked. I would email her and she would reply by telling me the schedule wasn't out yet, so email her again in a week or 2. I would do that and then she would reply with sorry the schedule is full. She managed to get her scheduled for the first 2 sessions. When we got down to the last session, she knew because just as before I had previously emailed her, that my daughter was to go take her actual DMV behind the wheel test within the next 2 weeks. She tells me that they do not have anything available for the entire month and best she can do is put her on the cancellation list, which did not guarantee she would get her session in on time. At that point I had enough. I understand things happen and some things are out of their control, however she had the dates we needed since November 2021 when I enrolled my daughter and she had email reminders from me at her request. How in the world are you going to tell me that you cannot fit my daughter into the schedule, to ensure she met the dates set with the DMV, a schedule that I paid for months prior and with email reminders. I had enough at that point and told her she needed to figure something out, she proceeded to raise her voice, tell me theres nothing she can do and then HUNG up on me! I called back and at that point requested to speak to the owner, I refuse to speak to her when she has no sense of customer service. She said she would have the owner call me, I have yet to receive a call. Michelle did call back later that evening and scheduled my daughter for the following Monday, we were able to get it done on time, not sure if someone cancelled within a few hours or what, however my experience with this woman was horrible. With the great instructors this school has, I really hope the owner sees that this woman is a problem and replaces her with someone who can do her job right and knows customer service is a priority, it would be sad to see this place lose clientele over 1 person. I definitely will not be returning for my sons driving lessons if she is still there when the time comes and will definitely not hesitate to share my experience with anyone inquiring about this company. read more

Not happy with this business. Terrible behind the wheel scheduling. My teen driver has been waiting for two months for his second lesson. He has begun a part time job this summer to save for a car. His job schedule comes out on Sunday. He had a behind the wheel scheduled on Monday at 7 pm. As luck would have it he was scheduled to work until 8 pm. Asked the school to push back appointment to 8 pm but they said they can't do that bc of owners policy and now I'm charged a $30 fee for canceling as I should have called the day before to cancel. The day before was a Sunday, when they are closed.!Terrible terrible service. I had been recommending this school as the driving instructors are nice but no longer will as they seem to not care about their customers. read more

She made up for the initial encounter, great customer service. The instructor was great and I would recommend you give this driving school a chance. DO NOT COME HERE!! These people are extreme idiots. They are the worst people I have ever met in my whole life. Every single one of the employees have the worst attitude and look like they came out of a dumpster that hasn't been emptied in 10 years. When you call for an appointment they A)Take fifteen minutes to find something for you. B) Never answer there phones. C) Hang up on you after yelling at you. My letter C experience was an example of the worst service in the world that you might even think I was making it up. However, I am not and what you are about to read is a 100% true. I called in to get an appointment within the 6 month period to get my license and they absolutely refused to find an appointment for me. I calmly asked for the employee on the phone to check again and that's when all the chaos started. The employee lost his temper and started screaming and yelling at me for not wanting to pay $300 because I did not take my drivers test. The man also started calling me names and then decided to hang up on me. I called again and asked to talk to the manager, Larry, but the man was no more useful than a slut. Another awful trait about Guardian Angel is that they are always late for your appointments. I paid $300 because I thought I would get my money's worth but I was wrong. They do not take you on your lesson the time you paid for. I truly regret ever going to Guardian Angel. If you live in the Redlands area and do not want to take your lessons any place farther you'll regret your choice like me. Miss Lovey did a great job training my daughter to drive. On the last lesson, she even went through a mock driving test. She passed her DMV test 4 days later on her first try, missing just 1 point. Thank you, Miss Lovey! Although there were some initial confusion and miscommunications about scheduling, Gloria and Torrey did a great job to accommodate us so my daughter was able to complete the training very close to 6 months after receiving her permit. All in all, I recommend Guardian Angel & particularly Miss Lovey, for behind the wheel training! read more

Do not waste your money or time with this poor excuse for a business (numerous complaints on the Better Business Bureau www.bbb.org). I called to schedule an appointment for my niece. I was asked for my credit card information, which I provided. I did not have all of the student's information, such as the date the permit was issued, but I gave them what I had and was told to call later with the additional information so they could complete registration. I then called my niece, and she informed me that the date I scheduled would not work because she would not be available. Within a few minutes after hanging up with Guardian Angel, I called them back to inform them of the scheduling conflict. However, the representative on the phone told me that they had already charged my credit card and that I could not get my money back (despite the fact that they did not even have all of the required registration information). She told me that she had to discuss the situation with her boss (and owner), LARRY BAEUMEL. She called me back and told me that she would refund my money, minus a 30 dollar processing fee (despite the fact that there is no mention of a processing fee anywhere on the website or elsewhere). I refused, so then she told me that her boss will decrease the amount to 20. I refused again, telling her there was no room for bargaining here, and that they were at fault for charging my credit card before they had all the information necessary for registration. Finally, she agreed to return the full amount. To my surprise, a few minutes later I received a call from a blocked number. It was LARRY BAEUMEL, the owner of the business. He proceeded to insult me multiple times, and called my behavior suspicious. When I told him that this was the first time I had ever experienced such poor customer service, he responded, "Well, then consider this the first time." I later found out that they charged my card $10, even though they had agreed earlier not to charge anything. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!! read more
