Came in to get my front door deadbolt lock fixed as it would not turn when the key was inserted. When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner Joel, and he quickly took a look and told me that he could not fix this model lock as it was discontinued and recalled. He did suggest I contact the manufacturer for a possible free replacement since it was recalled but couldn't guarantee they would fulfill as it was over ten years old. I did appreciate the advice so thanks. I call the mfg and long story short, they sent me a replacement lock for free so all I needed to do was get it rekeyed to my existing keys so back to Guaranty Lock & Safe I go. Joel greets me again and he remembers me from my last visit, and so he was able to rekey the new lock and make me some additional duplicate keys in under 15 minutes. EZ PZ. Lastly, I ask him if you could make a backup key w/a programable fob for my truck. He quotes me a price $300 dollars cheaper than the dealership so I told him I would be back soon to get that done. Like the other review said, these guys can copy keys that you can't get done at like a wal-mart(Such as car keys). They are mobile and a huge plus is they have an actual store front that you can go to. I broke the shell case for my old key so it kept falling out away from the chip. I purchased a replacement shell online and transferred my chip to the new key and just needed it cut to match my old key. Every locksmith I called would not just cut the new key but instead wanted to send a technician to me and charge me $120+ to get a new key made and programmed. This isn't horrible but none would listen to what I needed and tried to sell me something I didn't want nor need. Guaranty heard what I had to say and were more than happy to transfer my chip and just cut the new key for me and all for only $45. The guy working was very nice and helpful. Definitely coming back if I need any other keys made. read more

I think these guys are great. I have two Chevys, both which I was informed I needed the dealership ONLY to provide me a correctly programmed FOB (keyless remote entry). I did some research on my own and could not figure out any other 'do it yourself' for these two vehicles. This place had a radio commercial that got my attention so I figured I'd call and ask about FOB- they were able to program a generic FOB (lock, unlock, panic buttons- if I wanted to remote start, they informed me that would be a dealer process). I've been to Guaranty locks twice once for a key to a ford 150, price was a lot less then a dealer. Did it and programmed it in minutes. Second time for my wife's Nissan the dealer said it had a chip. Was sort of pricy. So she went to Walmart they also said it had a chip. I told my wife to hold on I would take it to Guaranty locks. Glad I did both the dealer and Walmart either lied or don't know any better. Key did not have a chip and was only a few dollars. read more
