We were down in SV and decided to have some Mexican food for lunch. We have been to Guadalajara's in Tucson and enjoyed it so popped in here. I heard someone tell the table next to us there only been open 7 or so months. We love the table side salsa they do, it was super spicy and tasty. My husband had the ultimate molcajete and I did the spicy shrimp. Both were flavorful and good. We ordered off the dinner menu but they had a nice lunch menu with smaller portions/prices. Staff were really nice and provided great service.

Very clean and neat. This is the first place I've been too that can make you salsa and guacamole right in front of you, which tastes amazing and so freshly good. I had the carne asada quesida it wasn't too bad. But I would come back and try something else, so I can get more fresh made salsa. the staff is really nice and helpful.

Love going to Guadalajara for their Pozole it's so good . This morning I woke up with wanting some. So here we are . We were seated right away. I ordered the pozole and my hubby wanted to try their menudo blanco . Love the way they Make the fresh salsa in front of you. Everything was good. My hubby said the menudo Blanco was okay and wish they had the red which has more flavor. The salsa lady customizing my mild salsa

I waited almost two months before trying this place as I wanted the staff to work out the kinks. I think they have by now. I've eaten at two other locations in Tucson and can recommend this place. I was done with local shopping and was hungry. It was Friday at 5pm, when diners start going out. I knew it would be busy just by looking at the crowded parking lot. I walked in and immediately recognized the decor from the Tucson locations: bright, vibrant colors on the walls, booth seats and a salsa lady who comes by every table to customize the salsa. I've had the chicken mole in Tucson and wanted to try something else. I was sola so I sat at the horseshoe bar, across from three very happy (and loud) young men I can only describe as Tres Borrachos. They gave my very efficient server a run for the money and she never lost her cool. I settled for a chicken burro with rice and beans ($18.99) and water to drink. I had asked for enchilada sauce on the side. The only glitch during my visit was that I had to ask for chips and salsa. Everyone around me, even at the bar, had bowls of chips. My server had to let the salsa lady know I was waiting and she promptly came by. The salsa and chips are excellent here, just like in Tucson. I asked for mild and I got a custom-made portion. Unfortunately the chips and salsa came just a few minutes before my meal. It was now 5:40pm and the place was getting loud and busy. The Tres Borrachos were now even happier and louder. One of the men was celebrating a birthday. Two more tables were having birthdays and staff came by those table for a personal serenade. I must say that by now the restaurant was in full Friday night vibe: loud and busy and staff was hustling. My meal was good, but I didn't care for the enchilada sauce. It had too much habanero in it. My server was very busy and I didn't want to ask for more water so I ate slowly. I ended up leaving my credit card behind and had to come back for it. Luckily I was right across the street at Fry's Food when I noticed my error. My server recognized me right away and I got my credit card back. By now it was 6:30pm and the place was packed!

This was excellent! Salsa was table-side made and excellent! The pick three was delicious. Zero complaints!!

BLUF - A great new restaurant with the potential to become a staple in the community due to its ability to accommodate large groups and intimate nights out. Service 5/5 - The service was very good. Our waitress Brittany (sorry if I misspelled) knew the menu and did a great job asking us questions and then recommended what we might consider rather than a full blown meal. It is a small thing, but the fact she didn't push anything and we left satisfied means we will return because we didn't have several "to-go" dishes. She was friendly, attentive, and seemed to show up just at the right time, (and didn't ask how our food was with our mouths full, a pet peeve of mine). Personality 5/5 - The restaurant is definitely unique to anything else in town. The decor was an eclectic mix between a (what we think of) Mexican Cantina, and an art studio. The light fixtures were neat, and a lot of the art on the walls and ceilings was very interesting. (Hopefully I can get back there and take pictures). The music was great, I have spent lots of time in Central and South America, and the music was a mix of styles from different countries, not just Mariachi and Tejano. Nothing against those styles, but the variety was neat. I didn't realize there was another location, but the theme was definitely not a cliche. Quality 4/5 - There is an extensive menu here, so I can't say everything was excellent we only had three things. They make salsa to order at your table, which is great, you know there aren't any funny chemicals going on when they have all the produce right in front of you. They also will adjust if you think it is too mild or too spicy. We had the medium and it was just right. We also had the mussels and sauce, as well as the chicharrons. They were all very tasty, my only comment would be that a few things seemed a little under-seasoned, not necessarily spice wise but just acid, salt, and pepper. It could also just be my taste. Recommendation 5/5 - I highly recommend this place, it is unique enough, but familiar enough to deserve a try. They have plenty of "platos tipicos", some unexpected ones, and some vegetarian options if that is your thing. They also seem set up to entertain large groups of people if needed, so give them a shot. We will be back a few more times, I have to try some of the classics, which I am sure will be great.

Manager and owners were awful. Which means miserable staff. Good was bland & have better options in the area for Mexican.

I walked into this small place early afternoon on a Saturday. The woman at the counter recognized…read moreme from a local hiking club. "Are you with the Sierra Vista hikers?" she asked. Oh no, I thought, is that a good or a bad question. "We hiked up Huachuca Peak" she reminded me. That hike was in early 2020, before the pandemic. Then I remembered. She blazed up that peak faster than me. She also remembered my German Shepherd dog I brought on that hike. Even my dog beat me to the peak. I didn't want to tell her that I have six German shepherd dogs. Kim only has one. This woman, Kim, is not the owner, but a friend of the owner who is currently in Korea. We had a nice conversation about Korean and American food and we both giggled at the differences between the two cuisines. I have been a fan of Asian cuisine for several years now. I ordered a cheesy spicy chicken, It came out fast. Kim insisted I have some water and gave me a bottle of it. I'm glad she did, as the cheesy spicy chicken lives up to its spiciness. The portion is big enough for two meals. The hot pepper dominates, but the cabbage and chicken also stand out. The wall decor includes photographs of Korean landscapes and villages. The dining area otherwise is simple, with a mostly white color dominating. There are two non-gender specific bathrooms up front. I enjoyed my meal. I will try the spicy chicken tacos next. Kim offered me some Korean coffee after my meal, but I declined as I only drink coffee in the morning and I didn't want to be up all night, but she insisted I take some instant Korean coffee with me. "You must try this with milk!" Kim said as she handed me four packs of Maxim coffee, "my husband uses four of these per 16 ounces." I'm glad she told me how much water to coffee ratio to use, as the directions on the packet are only in Korean.

This place is a little gem. This place has a small cafe feel and the service is very fast. The food…read morecame out so fast. The kimchi stew is sooo very good. And I swear the galbi is life changing. Their servings are much bigger than expected. I will be back to try the other dishes.
