    Lamb braised tacos

The calamari was absolutely AMAZING!!! They were well flavoured, thin and crispy, and the two sauces were great!! Best calamari I've had. The blue sangria was very good too; nice and fruity. The tacos were tasty. The lamb was flavourful. They are not very filling on their own

A huge Mexican restaurant in West Island. Beautiful decor. A tons of spaces. Few huge sports TV. Super colorful restrooms. In the middle of the restaurant, a perfect size bar. We were here to celebrated Xmas a little early with work department. We were 52 people, half of the restaurant was booked for us. The service impeccable for the most parts. Our waitress was good, quick, and efficient. Most of my rating stars are gone because of the food. Since we were big group, we got the group menu. At first, i had hibiscus sangria, a thumbs down(i had much much better than that)I received salad, completely flavorless, plus there were Roman lettuce in it despite the out break of E.Coli. We didn't bother to ask about it because our waitress was running. My main dish was the worse. Milap, a bunch vegetables wrapped in tortilla bread topped with cheese and tomato sauce. Obviously, it wasn't authentic Mexican food. My dish had a horrible smell of "shit" alike; it was completely watery. The tomato was from the grocery jar kind. I had two bites, then I was nauseated. Part of the group menu, we were supposed to have a cup of coffee. Because the party was being continued past their opening hours, and the kitchen and coffee bar were closed, therefore we never received coffee. Unfortunately, if you go to the restaurant... it's at your own risk.

Good service! Loved our waiter. Great conversationalist. Food was good but servings were a little small for the price. The drinks were good too!

My awfully constructed fish taco. Bland and looks horrible.

I had high expectations of Guaca & Mole. I had heard from others that it was decent, quick mexican food so I decided to give it a try on my way home. The food was not up to par. In fact it was very bad. I purchased the fish tacos and the lamb tacos. Both were cooked well but tasted like nothing. I had never seen such juicy lamb but had absolutely no flavor to seal the deal. Talk about the ultimate disappointment! There is much better to go to when it comes to mexican food out there for more or less the same price. Even other cheaper fast food mexican places prove to be a better option such as Three Amigos. I understand that others enjoyed their experience very much but I did not, I recommend finding an alternative and seeing the true delight that mexican food can offer.

I came here with a group of about 20 people for a birthday. The decor was really cute, there were numerous Mexican decorations in a modern style. The free salsa at the beginning was really good (I'm usually not a fan of those so I had to mention it). I got the taco Arrachera plate and thought it tasted good, but wasn't that authentic with all the sauce and how it was made. My three tacos were 16$ and there were no sides dishes. Pretty expensive for what is was!

We went after 7pm. Right with the sun glare straight on my face. Windows didn't have shades. It's a design choice I suppose. Most of the tables have nice padded seat chairs. We did not, instead the classic wooden chair. Not very comfortable if staying for dinner. We had the table d'hôte. Steak and chorizo sausage fajitas for me, 5 jumbo shrimp with rice for her. Fried ice cream and churro with nutella for dessert. The meal was great. The service was noticeably slow. For example, my steak and chorizo arrives on the black plate with no steam coming off it. It's still somewhere between warm and hot. The next table nearby got the same dish. But It arrived sizzling on the plate and steaming. I guess mine was sitting out waiting for pickup for a bit. The food itself was very nice. But don't think of it as a quiet night out. It's full of energy and noise. Was it worth the drive from downtown? Nah. There are equal to better places near my place. But if you live in the vicinity of this place, and you want to celebrate amongst a group with nice Mexican food and ambience? It's worth it.

The restaurant decor is so pretty! Perfect spot for hanging out or a date night. Our waiter gave great recommendations and always made sure everything was okay for us. The food service was also very quick! I ordered the burrito enchilada, which was very cheesy and juicy, especially with their guacamole. My bf ended up getting the steak taco which was not dry and very flavourful! The guacamole was better than most restaurants but nothing amazing. The portions were perfect, and the food was overall very good!

Nice casual place to hang out with friends. It was my first time here. Some of the tables are placed a little too tight for my comfort. Had to squeeze myself to get by . Waitress was friendly and nice. Food is either hit or miss. I had the steak tacos which were very tender and good. Wish they were bigger though and had some sides to accompany them. My wife had the 'Enchilada Grande' from the table d'hote menu. The filling in the enchilida was ok but didn't go well with the tortilla wrapping. I found the tortilla wrapping a little too salty and cheese did not blend well together with the seafood from my perspective. My son had the 'Quesadilla' from the kid's menu. Looked a little too plain. It was just cheese in between two tortillas and fries as a side. I would give this place another try but their menu needs work if they want customers to keep coming back.

    A slightly spicy margarita. Perfect!

The food is excellent with a clear twist towards originality. The service is outstanding with a decor to match. And don't be afraid to ask them to spice it up. Apparently Montrealers prefer less spicy foods. Margaritas are perfect!!! If your in the area (it was well worth an hour drive for me) this stop is a must.

Big restaurant and lovely wrap around terrasse/garden. Decor was nice and airy with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows on 2 walls. Food was good and authentic. We had guacamole & chips, pulled port tacos, chicken fajitas and shrimp tacos. All was good and just the right size. Service was good (though it was a quiet Monday night). In and out in 50 minutes and we weren't even rushing. We'd come back for sure. Other reviews were from over a year ago and are not relevant anymore:

Ignore the negative reviews! This place may have started off on the wrong foot (I wouldn't know, but based on the reviews...), but it is EXCELLENT. I've been here 5 times now and it's always delicious... Not to mention has a totally cute decor and fun music. They bring you some chips & salsa when you sit down. And if you're going at dinner time, sit in the bar area of the restaurant (on the left) to get happy hour-priced drinks! Here are my top recommendations: APPETIZERS Panela flameado al tequila Queso fundido MAINS Chilaquiles con pollo **OOC! (Out Of Control!) Enchiladas with salsa verde Barbacoa burrito (but really, just stick to the chilaquiles or enchiladas!) DRINKS Mojito Caipirinha Tulum Elderflower sangria The chilaquiles are seriously crazy good. Beer marinated chicken breast over a bed of these super cheesy, softened Tostitos, with a side salad and pickled onions - the whole thing is a crazy combination of flavours that you just don't expect. It's amazing. The enchiladas - please get them with salsa verde. Good god. So delicious. My favourite part is where the salsa meets the cheese that's melted on top of the enchiladas... Holy moly! Pretty sure the happy hour is from 4-7pm so you've got plenty of time to get your drink on at a good price. Plenty of options, too. My husband is particularly fond of the Okanagan Springs beer that they have on tap - $5 during happy hour, or $7 for 20oz at regular price. We seriously love this place & the current rating makes absolutely NO SENSE. Give it a try!!!

From the outside it seemed nothing more than a family joint, walking in the lights were dimmed, modern seating and decor with a great R&B playlist dropping beats in the background. Mike & Josh were great at hosting. You will have a good laugh from the cocktail menu. To name a few: morning wood, 1 inch punch, grow a pear. These cocktails were original and worth the starting price at around 14$ a drink . I had the 1 inch punch that is is a bourbon pineapple infused drink, I enjoyed the presentation and smoothness of it. We also had dessert- the olive oil strawberry trifle cake and Nutella bomboloni were my favourite. Desserts are around 9$ and up . The menus revolve seasonally. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time, I prefer eating early since I dislike crowds and enjoy a more quiet atmosphere. If you don't have a reservation you can easily find a table before 6PM. We were greeted right away, service was prompt and friendly. Our group tried two types of appetizers, the fried calamari and kentucky style fried chicken. Both were delicious, fresh, left us wanting more. I found the portion was pretty small compared to the price, for $19 the calamari was just enough for 2 people, not meant to share with a whole table unless you only get 1 or 2 bites each. Our main meals were 3 different types of steak, one opted for a large rib eye, a new york strip and filet mignon, and one person had the salmon. We upgraded sides to the cheesy mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. In all we were very impressed with the food, the flavor, cook and portions for the main meals were excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection and well seasoned - this was entirely different compared to our last experience at the Lucille's in Dix 30. The servers took time to refill our water and clean the tables in between meals, change our cultery too. I could tell there was a particular attention to us. I think it makes a huge difference when you are basically the only table in the restaurant at that time. This a great place to enjoy quality food if you like seafood or steak in particular - the atmosphere is modern, there's lots of place to sit both indoor or outdoors and the service was top notch. I would come back for a special occasion, I felt very satisfied with the whole experience.

On to the order. We all ordered the same dish, baby back ribs, with fries and coleslaw. Regular price was 24$ each, however, there is a 2 for 28$ special on Sundays. The food wasn't bad and was pretty filling. The baby back ribs were not dry, although I would've enjoyed a bit more tenderness to the meat. My issues from this visit were the following. The first issue was ordering drinks. The waiter just dropped them on the end of the table and we all had to pass them around. We were four so this wasn't a big table; a simple gesture like this can go a long way. The second issue was how fast the order came. I know, i know, quick is good but hear me out. Once we had ordered our food, and I am not kidding right now, we had our dishes within 3 minutes. That's four baby back rib dishes, with fries and coleslaw, within 3 minutes. I am guessing that the ribs/fries were prepared well in advance to accommodate customers ordering the Sunday specials. I believe this is why the ribs were somewhat less tender than expected. My third issue was that we were never asked how we were doing with our meals. Again, a small gesture goes a long way. The waiter had passed our table a couple of times without stopping to ask if everything was to our liking. I don't want to knit pick but I do enjoy a nice dining experience and I expected more from Madisons. I will go back, however, I hope to have a better customer experience next time.
