I stopped in Guac Taco on Tuesday to order food to go. I ordered the 2 cheeseburger tacos and a Hawaiian steak taco. The line moved quickly and my food was ready in under 10 minutes. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and I think it used to be a bakery before but they have made it a cute little Tex-mex restaurant in Stone Mountain. Guac Taco Studio is a total experience! From signage near entrance showcasing daily specials to strategic interior design to food selections and so much more! More includes a unique pick up zone, logoed merchandise and a large outdoor seating area. An oversized menu is displayed near the counter to place orders prior to self seating at tables, hi-boys and the bar (ample tables outside also available). Drinks were on a separate monitor above the bar, with specials listed throughout the restaurant. Taco selections were plentiful. I ordered the jerk salmon and the portobello mushroom asada. I opted for infused water that was placed near the condiments. Initially sat near the rear corner to capture multiple angles as I arrived early for a meeting. After my associate arrived, we ordered and decided to sit at the bar. This area was equally nice. The design and access to the owner, who was personable and attentive. She shared information on the formation of the business, and the proximity to their sister restaurant (in walking distance). Food was good; especially the jerk salmon taco. It was spicy. The inclusion of plantain and cilantro with the salmon added balance. The portobello mushroom asada was flavorful too but a bit heavy on cojita cheese. The spinach and chipotle agave was a good addition. I enjoyed the ambience, service and selections. Will be sure to return to get more tacos and closer view of the outdoor seating area. read more

Can't recommend this place enough. Stopped in while in town for a wedding and the food blew us away. So much flavor. Felt very Puerto Rican esque and natural. The salmon taco special was FANTASTIC! Last week I was visiting from out of town and needed something to eat, so my mom recommended Guac Studio, and I completely understand why. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the next day. I'm back in town and headed there now for the delicious jerk salmon tacos. What really wowed me was the plantain tucked between the tortilla. Many of us have had plantains before, but for me they truly add to every meal, so I was pleasantly surprised and very content. If you enjoy tacos and Caribbean food, this might be the perfect fusion. Adorable!!!!! We love the atmosphere over this way!!!! This is the cutest taco restaurant ever.... I love the creativity and the love that was placed on the menu! We ended up ordering all of the very unique tacos, we had the salmon, the gator, the soul chicken with collard greens and the Jamaican jerk chicken and the lamb.......I think!!!! All very yummy! We also ordered two margaritas, one strawberry and one spiked lemonade or something of that nature. Both of them were very, very good. This is definitely a spot. I saw this place on TikTok, and was surprised that I lived close to a new restaurant that looked really great. I decided to try it out one day and was going to place an order for pick up, but I decided I wanted to pay in cash. I went inside to place the order and was redirected to the back where a very nice young lady helped me out. I ordered a drink while I waited which was very delicious and reasonably priced. I went in for lunch with a friend. We got there as soon as they opened and were greeted with great customer service. The restaurant is so nice but I can't wait to return in the warmer months and hang on the patio. The food blew our mind! I had been stalking the IG page for weeks so when i decided to go on a Me date, this was the place I chose. This is the sister restaurant to Trend Urban Cafe (note to the owners, when I googled Guac, the address for Trend came up) . As a result of the faulty Google info , i arrived at Trend but when i went inside they advised it was just in the other shopping center. Anyways, i arrived and it's so cute inside. Graffiti decor throughout. You seat yourself (just like trend) and it's also cashless . The music here is a vibe just like the other location I got: peach margarita- literally the best I've ever had. I'm right this minute trying to plan my return for a margarita or 5. Seriously, so good! I started with 3 tacos (and ordered a 4th and some sides). Oyster taco- it was flavorful but way too salty. I know brines typically don't cause the foods to taste overly salty so i wonder if additional salt was added to the breading. I hope they fix this because the oysters were fried perfectly Shrimp po boy- this was one of my faves . The shrimp seasoned well and fried perfectly. The toppings wrte just like what would be on a po boy. Very good. Must order Santa Fe steak- another of my favorites (i ordered a second after finishing). The steak was tender and well seasoned . There was a sauce and cheese. But whatever was on it, i had to have more. As i stated previously, i ordered sides to try. The black beans, rice and corn. I was pretty disappointed as they were all under seasoned. I would not order any of those again. Overall it was a great experience. Next time I'll come with someone and indulge in the appetizers and of course more tacos (AND fry all the margaritas)... Note to the owners.. a margarita flight would be a cute addition to the menu.. name it after me My 2 tacos and margarita were 5 star Sides and oyster taco knocked my rating down. Beautiful day today in Stone Mountain so we decided to try a newer place that has a outdoor patio! You place your order at the counter and get a number for your table. They bring the food out to you. We enjoyed the patio that had umbrellas and a nice atmosphere. The young man taking our order was nice and very helpful. I tried his favorite margarita (Strawberry Mango) and it was yummy!! The hubby's mango was good too. We tried the guac and chips. Guac was good but nothing special. We will try the cheese dip next time but the chips are so good. Tastes homemade and have seasoning sprinkled on top. We got 4 different tacos and loved them all. Chicken Fried Fish (my fav), Jerk Salmon, Lamb Gyro, and Fried Cauliflower (2nd fav). Where do I start??!! 10's all across the board for Guac Taco Studio. Let's get into the menu. GENIUS! This is not your average tacos that they offer. I'm talking about a Shrimp Po Boy taco, Gator Taco, Jerk Chicken Taco, do I need to go further? Hubby and I indulged in 6 different tacos and all of them were simply amazing! We also opted for the Tequila Lemonade and hands down one of the best and smoothest drinks I've had in a very long time. Hubby loves his dips so we got dip platter (Salsa Verde, Salsa Rojo, Queso and Guac) and of course it was delicious. It appears that they make their own chips as well but could be wrong. Lastly we had the churros. You get SOOO MANY for the price! Customer Service was great from start to finish. It is a cashless establishment so keep that in mind. The gator was my absolute fave. Seasoned well with delicious sauce and toppings. I didn't care for the chicken and waffle. The waffle was ok but it fell apart and I didn't like the actual waffle. The steak was good and the sauces made it better. The kids meals are sufficient and included tater tots. One problem was my daughter ended Ho with fried shrimp pieces in her tots so I would just be careful when plating. I also enjoyed a pomegranate margarita and it was tasty and sneaky like I like them.
