Guac Taco Studio is a total experience! From signage near entrance showcasing daily specials to strategic interior design to food selections and so much more! More includes a unique pick up zone, logoed merchandise and a large outdoor seating area. An oversized menu is displayed near the counter to place orders prior to self seating at tables, hi-boys and the bar (ample tables outside also available). Drinks were on a separate monitor above the bar, with specials listed throughout the restaurant. Taco selections were plentiful. I ordered the jerk salmon and the portobello mushroom asada. I opted for infused water that was placed near the condiments. Initially sat near the rear corner to capture multiple angles as I arrived early for a meeting. After my associate arrived, we ordered and decided to sit at the bar. This area was equally nice. The design and access to the owner, who was personable and attentive. She shared information on the formation of the business, and the proximity to their sister restaurant (in walking distance). Food was good; especially the jerk salmon taco. It was spicy. The inclusion of plantain and cilantro with the salmon added balance. The portobello mushroom asada was flavorful too but a bit heavy on cojita cheese. The spinach and chipotle agave was a good addition. I enjoyed the ambience, service and selections. Will be sure to return to get more tacos and closer view of the outdoor seating area.

If you are in the mood for bold and unique tacos, this is your place. I would have given four stars, but the chips and queso were plain, nothing special. There is a variety that is all made to order with fresh ingredients. Service was quick with no issues. Restaurant was clean, but music was a bit loud for general conversation. Ample parking and EV chargers at the back of the parking lot, a short walk.

3.9/5 We came close to closing but they still serviced us and allowed us to sit in without feeling like a burden or rushed. The taco choices are so unique and tasty from what we had. The queso was tasty but pretty thick and could stand to be loosened a bit or maybe warmed up. The margarita was just okay, pretty syrupy but got the job done for a lil drink with our meal! Very nice place inside with a far amount of seating and plenty of parking.

Can't recommend this place enough. Stopped in while in town for a wedding and the food blew us away. So much flavor. Felt very Puerto Rican esque and natural. The salmon taco special was FANTASTIC! So were the duck wings. And the guac. Really everything we had! The workers were so friendly and brought out karaoke because we were celebrating our bride. Such a fun ambiance.

Last week I was visiting from out of town and needed something to eat, so my mom recommended Guac Studio, and I completely understand why. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the next day. I'm back in town and headed there now for the delicious jerk salmon tacos. What really wowed me was the plantain tucked between the tortilla. Many of us have had plantains before, but for me they truly add to every meal, so I was pleasantly surprised and very content. If you enjoy tacos and Caribbean food, this might be the perfect fusion. I doubt it will disappoint.

Adorable!!!!! We love the atmosphere over this way!!!! This is the cutest taco restaurant ever.... I love the creativity and the love that was placed on the menu! We ended up ordering all of the very unique tacos, we had the salmon, the gator, the soul chicken with collard greens and the Jamaican jerk chicken and the lamb.......I think!!!! All very yummy! We also ordered two margaritas, one strawberry and one spiked lemonade or something of that nature. Both of them were very, very good. This is definitely a spot. We will have to visit again and bring guests!

Everything about this place is nice! When I say this was my veryyyy first time trying their food, I hadn't even heard of them until I got a job here in Stone Mountain. I order the crispy cauliflower bowl with chipotle agave, spicy grilled pineapple and spinach. It's probably going to be my go-to im not even going to lie. I'm not even vegan! The bowl was hot and fresh and the cauliflower was *chefs kiss*. Just look at my bowl!!!

I went in for lunch with a friend. We got there as soon as they opened and were greeted with great customer service. The restaurant is so nice but I can't wait to return in the warmer months and hang on the patio. The food blew our mind! I had been stalking the IG page for weeks so when i decided to go on a Me date, this was the place I chose. This is the sister restaurant to Trend Urban Cafe (note to the owners, when I googled Guac, the address for Trend came up) . As a result of the faulty Google info , i arrived at Trend but when i went inside they advised it was just in the other shopping center. Anyways, i arrived and it's so cute inside. Graffiti decor throughout. You seat yourself (just like trend) and it's also cashless . The music here is a vibe just like the other location I got: peach margarita- literally the best I've ever had. I'm right this minute trying to plan my return for a margarita or 5. Seriously, so good! I started with 3 tacos (and ordered a 4th and some sides). Oyster taco- it was flavorful but way too salty. I know brines typically don't cause the foods to taste overly salty so i wonder if additional salt was added to the breading. I hope they fix this because the oysters were fried perfectly Shrimp po boy- this was one of my faves . The shrimp seasoned well and fried perfectly. The toppings wrte just like what would be on a po boy. Very good. Must order Santa Fe steak- another of my favorites (i ordered a second after finishing). The steak was tender and well seasoned . There was a sauce and cheese. But whatever was on it, i had to have more. As i stated previously, i ordered sides to try. The black beans, rice and corn. I was pretty disappointed as they were all under seasoned. I would not order any of those again. Overall it was a great experience. Next time I'll come with someone and indulge in the appetizers and of course more tacos (AND fry all the margaritas)... Note to the owners.. a margarita flight would be a cute addition to the menu.. name it after me My 2 tacos and margarita were 5 star Sides and oyster taco knocked my rating down. But when i go back I'll update my review. I think it could for sure be a 5 star for me

What can I say, what can I say. The tacos were great. But my personal favorite, the alligator tacos.. OMG delicious! The service was excellent and the drinks were definitely on point. From the artwork on the walls to the patio outside, I really enjoyed this spot. So if you ever in the area looking for something pretty good to eat with great drinks please stop by and visit this establishment.

This place is horrible! The food is not good at all. I had the cheesy beef taco and a shrimp taco. They were both horrible. The beef taco had no beef. The taco had nothing but lettuce stuff at the bottom and a few specks of old chopped up hamburger patty. The outside patio was filthy. It's small and un-kept. The patio furniture was soiled and disgusting. I had a tequila sunrise that had no sunrise because they didn't have orange juice. The service was subpar. I will not be going back. Not your average taco spot! Our favorite is the Soul Chicken Taco--it's like they perfected your grandmother's fried chicken and collard greens and wrapped it in a taco. Was excited to try this place after reading the reviews but it's not your typical taco joint with traditional Mexican flavors. The red salsa tasted like tomato sauce, the chips were somewhat heavy and oily. Tacos were okay but not sure worth the price and wait. The counter person was super nice but when ordering to-go, expect lack of communication and a long wait. This place is better suited for eating/drinking in person if you're looking for a smallish laid back vibe for locals and not really for visitors. read more

The service was amazing and a very nice restaurant and clean the spicy margarita loved it. The only complaint I have and why I can't get rid of five star is the food is somewhat salty. Neither one of my kids liked it because they are used to authentic Mexican food with the chips having a seasoning and the queso having a bit of seasoning in it along with the quesadilla. They weren't big fans of it but other than that the place was really good. I definitely will come back for some drinks again. read more

I ordered three tacos through DoorDash on Thursday (soul food chicken taco, shrimp po boy taco, and portobello mushroom taco). I waited until I got home before eating the tacos, so they were a little soggy, but that's not the restaurant's fault. My favorite taco was the shrimp po boy. The shrimp was breaded perfectly and I loved the remoulade sauce. The portobello mushroom taco had a sweet taste to it. It was okay, not the best. The collard greens in the soul food taco were really good! However, the cream cheese sauce did not really add to the flavor of the taco. read more

I am so surprised I hadn't found this place sooner! All of you living in the surrounding area, please frequent this establishment! We don't have much in this area and we cannot afford to lose Guac Taco! We tried 4 different tacos, we really liked all of them. We were in a midday rush with lots of running around to do so we didn't sit around and try the adult beverages, but we cannot wait to come back with others for a nog and a taco! I don't want to point out which tacos we got, it was hard to choose and we cannot wait to go back and try others. A- MA- ZING! I've been waiting for this restaurant to open and when I walked in I did not know what to expect however I must say that I love the vibe. The lighting and the setup is absolutely gorgeous. And then they have a nice outdoor patio. I ordered two salmon tacos and really didn't know what to expect. These are absolutely the best tacos I have ever eaten. Full of salmon meat and the flavors did Jumping Jacks in my mouth. It's a mixture of sweet and spicy and taste so good. Best thing to happen in Stone Mountain! These tacos are so good! And mind you I had them to go. How I wished I could have hung out and sat at a table and enjoyed my tacos. Instead I was in a rush. This place is great! So nice to finally have options on this side of town with fresh ingredients and unique flavor profiles. My guy loved the lamb gyro taco but out of 4 they were all delicious according to him. I don't eat meat, but the cauliflower taco was off the chain! Portabella mushroom taco was good too. As well as the fried oyster taco. Next time I'm gonna try a bowl. Love that all the options are fresh, flavorful, and health-conscious. Will definitely keep supporting! read more

Great concept- atmosphere -drinks all good. Problem is their name sake "Guac" Taco- guacamole was below average, chips and salsa , chips were undercooked and/or stale , even after 1st complaint. My bowl was above average - soul food taco - chicken was cremated and greens were tough. Was hoping for better, had such high hopes - will try again. Plantains were not ripe. Even with the extra $2.45 with the consome, their math is not equaling $15.95 -- whacky! As for the taste profile, deliciousness. These three quesadillas were pretty massive. And like my sliders, they were equally oily and messy to consume. The horchata was really tasty. For a large, it was $6.75. It tasted different from other places. There was a nice rice flavor to it and less of the cinnamon flavor. Would I visit again? I think not. Good food. Prices were bleh, especially how it seems like we were charged more than their menu prices.

For starters, the set up is very odd. When I walked in I was met with a choice. Do I skirt the right wall behind this weird outdoor metal fencing that I typically see when I volunteer at the dog shelter. Or do I sort of wander to my left where there is an open dining room and this utility table thing holding flyers and magazines like I'm at my dentist office. And then there are cleaning supplies right next to single serving plastic cups and plastic straws and plastic cutlery wrapped in plastic. It all seems very thrown together last minute like a child's birthday party at a public park. So anyway I forge to my left where I am greeted by a smiling, cheerful young woman who asks can she help me. I said I'd like to order some food to go, and have a drink at the bar while I waited. She said, "Great!" Then spun around and walked away. Okay. So then do I go past the register and walk over to the bar and order my food there? Do I order my food at the register, pay for it, then go to the bar to wait and pay for my drink separately? Oh, I know. These are the questions I was hoping she could answer. But she split.
