I moved to NoVA from Maryland a few months ago and was looking to replace my go-to archery spot,…read moresince I used to go to Lancaster Archery Supply in PA. After chatting with my fellow members and archery lovers at IWLA ARL-FFX, and my bowhunting friends at work, they all swore by Hoffman. The latter was interesting, as my friend lives near Quantico, so the fact that he is willing to drive up to Hoffman's from that distance speaks volumes about the quality. I went up yesterday after work to swap my peep sight and buy new arrows. And I gotta say the entire experience was fantastic. If I couldn't see Hoffman's 100000 rating out of 5, I would!! The entire staff was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The store had plenty of the good stuff -- no junk archery crap. And if you have questions or come prepared with stuff in mind, they'll have a healthy discussion with you and ask you questions, so that 1. You get your money's worth and 2. It's catering to your archery goals. Businesses like that are rare to see, and they provide a personal flair that explains why so many peers are repeat customers. The pricing was fair, and I didn't feel like I got ripped off. I received great service from friendly, knowledgeable staff, and I will return for all my archery needs. Hoffman's got a new repeat customer!!

Farron and his crew were super friendly and gave me a ton of options. I explained to them I would spend more time target shooting but would do the occasional deer hunting trip. They provided me with a MISSON SWITCH that's made by Mathews that was a budget bow but great for the money. Surprisingly my wife decided she wanted a crossbow out of thin air. Farron and his crew spent about 3-4 hours guiding us and setting up both new bows. After all said and done between bows, arrows, release, quiver, target,, and several other pieces we walked out with a phenomenal price. What I loved is they didn't immediately drop a 3k bow and just try to oversell and push product. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and makes sure you happy with your purchase. Further, we donated the bow as Farron will provide it to a local Christian church who's starting an archery program. If you have a bow and need it fixed or looking for an upgrade you HAVE to come here. After my wife and I walked out we were beyond impresses. Not only did we get new bows but we met other customers of theirs who even agreed to allow us to hunt on property they manage. Take a ride out here, meet with staff, and you won't be disappointed.

Five Stars for Jordan at Shenandoah Sporting Goods!…read more I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Shenandoah Sporting Goods thanks to Jordan, who helped me set up and tune my brand-new Hoyt RX 10. And get this--mine was the very first RX 10 they sold! That made the experience even more special, and Jordan handled the flagship bow setup like a true professional. The setup process was detailed and meticulous, especially since I was keen on utilizing the new Hoyt XTS tuning system right away. I know I can be a bit particular when it comes to getting a bow dialed in, but Jordan was incredibly friendly and patient throughout the entire process. They walked me through every adjustment, explaining the nuances of the XTS system without ever making me feel rushed. Jordan's expertise and commitment to making sure the bow was perfectly tailored to me were truly outstanding. It's rare to find that level of dedication and customer service. If you are looking to purchase a new Hoyt, especially the RX 10, ask for Jordan--you won't find better service or a more knowledgeable tuner. My new RX 10 is shooting flawlessly, and it's all thanks to them!

They've had a pretty decent selection of firearms every time I've gone there, and tons of ammo. The bow and archery section looks expansive, but I've never been on that side.

I've been wanting to get into Archery lately to do some target shooting. I really didn't know too…read moremuch about it beside some research I did online, so knew I needed some help. I live about 40 minutes from this place, but decided it would be worth the drive to go and check it out. I'm very glad I did. I got there and shortly after entering, Courtney greeted me and asked me if I needed help. I said yes and told her what I was interested in. She asked a couple questions and then proceeded to show me a full line of bows ascending in price. I picked out one of the bows she showed me and she had me try it out. They have a skinny hallway shut off with a target in the back good enough for test firing bows. She gave me some instruction on proper form and how to hold and sight the bow and had me shoot a couple arrows. It was a very cool experience. I decided to buy the bow and she measured me and got the bow tuned up to my measurements and had me try it out again to make sure everything was perfect. Courtney then recommended the required accessories she knew I didn't have yet since I'm new which was very helpful. By the time I left Courtney had taken great care of me and not rushed me to buy anything. At no time did I feel like she was upselling me as she gave me different prices points on stuff I was buying. I'm very glad I went here and had a great visit and as Courtney was helping me tune the bow or cut the arrows, the owner Chip Johnson talked to me and recommended a great local place to get lunch. It was an awesome visit and if I ever need anything, I'll def be back here for another visit before I go looking on the internet. Thank you Courtney and Chip!!

Unfortunately, my group of archery buddies split up about 10 years ago, and I hadn't continued with archery after that. I retired a year ago, and wanted to take up the sport again. I knew I needed a new bowstring, new arrows, and a variety of other things. While going to a big sporting goods store or buying things online might be quick and maybe a little less expensive, I had the sense to know I'd be best off going to a place where I'd get personal service, proper custom measurements, and good advice from people who actually specialize in archery. While it was over an hour from my home in Rockville, I went to Jefferson Archery, and Brian did a fantastic job getting me completely back up to speed. He really took his time, measured me expertly for new arrows (and made them on the spot, no waiting!), replaced my bowstring, and sold me a target just right for my backyard. (I also dropped off for consignment sale an old -- but mint condition -- recurve bow for hunting that was just too hard for me to draw back now that I'm in my 60s.) I thought the service at Jefferson Archery was outstanding, knowledgeable, and very courteous. I felt the prices were fair, and the fact that I didn't need to go back to pick up the new arrows saved me 2 hours of travel. I would highly recommend this shop. There's just no substitute for good old-fashioned service from people who know what they're doing.

We decide to go with archery and price per person is about 27 dollars. First, the facility is a bit hard to find because the front door is located in the back behind the baseball store but atleast it has a big parking lot so no issue there. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff and seated to prepare for our archery lesson. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the lesson fun. You know that when you are having fun that time seems to fly by so that hour archery lesson went by quickly. All in all, I had a fun time here with my family and would highly recommend anyone of any ages come here and try some archery.
