Gundy county is a rest stop area me and my buddies hit up when driving through Tennessee on our weekend getaway from Lousiville to Atlanta. Stopped in to use the facilities and grab some vending machine snacks. The campus is pretty nice. Large with lots of green pastures so that was relaxing. The restrooms for a rest stop were very well maintained and not dirty at all. So that's a nice change. Overall was a pretty good rest stop. Much better then others I've been to before.

This particular rest area is located just west of Monteagle, Tennessee. It is clean and generally serves its purpose and is a good place to get out and stretch your legs. There is a grassy area with several picnic benches and a pavilion if you want to take a little bit longer of a break. Maybe if you want to grab lunch or dinner or whatever meal you choose. All in all, I want nothing special, this rest area does serve its purpose.

There's a nice rest out that offered a lot of cool attractions in Monument said different things to look at. The restrooms were clean and they had vending machines out there that a buddy of mine took a vantage of with their diet Mountain Dew's that he enjoys. So is it nice establishment nice rest stop

Sorority Sisters and I stopped here yesterday and the Welcome Center building itself appears to be brand new! I don't recall it having the current configuration; however, it's been a while since I've been here. The interior was spotless! The man working the counter was extremely friendly, and the entire interior smelled fresh and clean! There was a large screen TV over the interior counter, and rows and rows of organized pamphlets, maps, brochures, etc. with maps on the walls. The bathroom was modern, again, *clean* and well stocked with lots of stalls for the ladies and ample countertop space. The exterior grounds were equally spotless. There were people walking their dogs along the sidewalks, an employee picking up trash, and numerous covered, wheelchair accessible concrete patio tables available. There is a really pretty section in the front with an American flag, other flags and monuments, we did not browse through. This is a really nice rest stop to get a snack, or a drink, pick up some regional information, ask the clerk any relevant questions, and I think you are allowed to leave a vehicle there up to four days, however, make sure you check their website about that. Welcome to Alabama!

It was a welcomed sight to see that a rest area was coming up. Pulling into here I could tell you that this was not going to be a normal rest stop. And I was not let down in that aspect. What I noticed most was that it was on a hill. However, it was somewhat flat once you got out of the parking lot. It is quite the busy rest stop and surprisingly clean on the inside. Especially the facility portion of the interior. This particular location has a outdoor pavilion of sorts that has multiple vending machines if you need a last minute drink or snack. Easy on and off of the Interstate.
