I'll likely go back there for all the other accessories, holsters, etc. They have an excellent selection for pretty much anything you're into, and the prices seemed to be on par with expectations. At the register when it was time to do the exchange, the young lady that was working the register took the shoes being returned out of the box to inspect them. Understandable. One was the one my daughter tried on. The other had never been tried on as it was still knotted the way it is when it comes out of the box. I mean the way this cashier inspected these shoes inside and out had me concerned that she was going to find a piece of lint and refuse to take more of my money for the replacement pair. After they passed inspection she started with the receipt. She started asking employees if so and so worked earlier that day. Clearly if his name is on the receipt he did. Finally someone told her, yes he did and she calmed down. I don't know what kind of shady practices (if any) happen at this location but just do your job young lady and let loss prevention do theirs. I had receipts and didn't appreciate being treated like I was trying to swindle them. If not for the excellent service I received from the other employees, I would remove additional stars. If not for my daughter's need for the shoes and it being near closing time, I would have gone elsewhere.

He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He had a great knowledge of the shoes. The first step is a 3D scan of your feet which helps them recommend the best shoes for your needs. I was looking for a shoe that would support me and help me avoid more issues with my knees. I tried on 2 shoes and decided to go with the 1540 which has good arch support along with the "rollbar " that goes around the entire shoe helping to keep your ankle from turning. Once purchased, you have 45 days to return and although I had worn them twice to work I was able to return them a week later for a wider size. I even convinced my hubby to get a pair as well. I loved that Nicholas was honest letting us know what we needed and helped my husband not get the wrong shoe for his foot. The shoes aren't cheap but well made and will last! I heard other customers being told that in the store while waiting. I said my shoe felt too large and I could fit my finger behind the heel, I was told that's normal and we have $50 inserts to make the already expensive shoe fit better. My husband chalked it up that he made a bad decision in buying shoes a little too big that cause him to stumble when walking an inside track. I went back to Fleet Feet 1 day past the 30 day/month policy to exchange my shoes because after walking in them 4 times on an inside track, my foot started flopping around in it. I've always worn a 5 - 5.5 and even with realizing my narrow feet got larger with age, I was placed in a size 7. The salesperson could not help me out with an exchange mainly because of the return policy time that was shortened only a month prior to my purchase, and besides they didn't have any size 6 Brooks for the exchange. I went to two other "reputable" shoe stores who measured my feet traditionally. I was told by both stores that I should not be wearing a shoe larger than a 6. So buyer beware. We truly believe that our local Fleet Feet store sells whatever is in stock and we both will know better from now on. It may be great for runners, but not for basic walking.
