My bad, and it was buggered up to a fare-thee-well. Not having the necessary tools or experience to remove such a small screw with the slot nearly gone, I started calling around looking for a gunsmith to help out. That's when I found Shoot Wise and Ryan (the gunsmith). I told him the problem and asked if I could bring it by. He said that first thing the next morning would be fine. I arrived shortly after the shop had opened and Ryan examined the rifle, told me he'd get the screw out and I'd have it back within a day or two. He was knowledgeable, polite, professional, and took the time to talk with me about the rifle. I left feeling good. Never made it home. Ryan called me about 30 minutes later, told me he had removed the screw, that the rifle was ready, and said that the price he'd quoted me (half what I'd been quoted elsewhere) was still good. When I picked up the rifle, there wasn't the slightest evidence that there'd been a problem and he explained the steps he'd taken to get the job done. Will I go back? Do I recommend Shoot Wise? Does the Pope wear funny hats? Is a duck's butt watertight? The only reason I don't give them six stars is that this site only lets me give five. Thanks Ryan, and thank you Shoot Wise.

Used them as we needed an FFL holder. Won't ever again…read more Mistakenly used my husbands name in the shipping address as it just automatically entered it from the billing address on a 3rd party site. (My mistake) So it needed to be shipped back to the 3rd party so the shipping name could be changed by the 3rd party. The 3rd party sent performance shooters the return label and they held on to my merchandise for 2 weeks. Had to call the 3rd party to contact performance shooters. They also took 1 out of the 2 clips, the lock, and extras from my merchandise (this was confirmed by the 3rd party when performance shooters returned it to them). Called and emailed performance shooters within those 2 weeks they were holding my merchandise trying to get them to return it and never got responses, only that Joe was out of office or couldn't take my call. Yes, my mistake that I had incorrectly entered the information on the 3rd party website. But Performance Shooters was unethical in tampering with the merchandise, taking pieces from the merchandise, and keeping merchandise which was not theirs when a return label was emailed to them by the 3rd party the day after we found out about the shipping error. We had our transfer done by another FFL holder in Metairie which we should have used in the first place (the 3rd party website didn't have our preferred FFL's information). So rather than return merchandise that was not theirs and lose $40 (FFL transfers usually cost around $40), they stole pieces of merchandise and held onto it longer than needed to be. Only returned it after weeks of calling and emailing and getting other people involved. Would never recommend.

I Googled gunsmiths near me, and the first one to pop up was NOLA Guns. Great I thought, a…read moregunsmith literally 2 minutes from my home! I have an extensive firearm collection, and I know my way around firearms, but a gunsmith, I am not. And guess what, neither are those at NOLA Guns! I'll make it as short as possible. My Para Ordnance P12.45 had (still has) and ejector and /or possible and extractor problem. Once, twice or three times per full magazine, it would eject the spent casing directly at your face. (Wear those shooting glasses!) Over a month and three phone calls later (they don't return phone calls) they said come pick it up. This was because, "they could find nothing". Me, was the gun even fired? Them, "I can't tell you if it was or wasn't". They held my gun for over a month and did absolutely NOTHING. I doubt that they even know the difference between and extractor and an ejector. I guess they need to stick to selling guns or putting pretty cerakote on them. As a parting note, I looked at their prices for the guns they had on my initial visit, and I can guarantee that you can find much better prices online through either gun.deals or gunengine. MUCH lower prices at reputable gun dealers.
