Grunbaum is a great "hole-in-the-wall" small business! I was looking for a place to repair both the watches that we bought while vacationing in Italy. I wanted a place that doesn't send them out for repair and here at Grunbaum, Carlos does the work right there at his unpretentious window-lit counter. My Armani watch was previously repaired at another shop but stopped working shortly after. Carlos opened the watch and made a tiny adjustment while a waited, and now it works perfectly again. He charged me nothing. I left my husband's Maserati watch with him, which had a part on the face that came loose and needed to be reset. Can't recommend this place enough. No matter what your problem is, big or small, or what your watch is, expensive or cheap, this guy is amazing. I've been here a couple times over the past few years. Most recently I just needed a link out of a new Tudor I had got. He only charged me $5. When I told him I didn't have cash (cash only for less than $10 cost) he said just come back another time and pay me. This man is a legend! I'm all about efficiency - I knew I was going to be in the area, I was down the street at Valvoline getting my oil changed (Groupon for the win!) and decided to come here based on the reviews and price. This watch repair store is shared with 2 other businesses - jewelry and clothing alterations, which is convenient. CASH only - $10 for each battery replacement. Unfortunately one of my watches was broken (water??) and couldn't be fixed. Total was $20 for 2 watches and Carlos was quick at replacing the battery. I was in and out less than 10 minutes. Several weeks ago I was gifted an amazing watch from my fiance. One day I left it out on my counter, and it was knocked down and stepped on by my cousin.
