WOW...what a fun area! It reminded me of Chico downtown with restaurants and cute shops! I first stopped in here. It's a cute pub and grill focusing on alot of Irish beers. Very casual atmosphere. I had the shepherd pub tots which were really good. Because I was traveling I had them put the shepherd pie on the side so it would stay better. Since I hadn't had a Guiness for St. Patty's Day I ordered a small glass of Guiness. So good! Plenty of leftovers. They have specials and happy hour as well. Will be back! ( Thanks Kyra!)

The service is always warm and welcoming, and the friendly atmosphere has never changed. We've come for both lunch and dinner, and we've never been disappointed. On our most recent visit, we tried the bavarian sampler, and it completely blew us away. Every bite was packed with flavor, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Over the years, Sutter Buttes Brewing has become one of our favorite comfort spots, whether it's during the fall, winter, or summer. It's the kind of place where you always feel welcomed and know you'll have a great meal and excellent service. If you're in the Yuba City area, this place is truly a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. We highly recommend it!

Brian, the…read moreowner took the time to speak with me personally, was professional, attentive and genuinely cared about my experience. As a business owner myself in the service industry, I really appreciate this level of customer care and vibe. At the end of the day it's your actions and how you treat your customers that people remember. It's so important to have that level of openness and accessibility, and when people know they can talk to the manager and have a great conversation. Overall, it was a great experience and great people. I'll definitely be bringing my family back to enjoy the food and beautiful Donner Lake. Highly recommend! Thank you, Brian, and to your Team!

I never waited in the beverage line for more than a few minutes. Food was ordered at the bar and servers ran it out. Several TVs inside along the wall, a large projector screen on the east wall, and a 65" outside all displayed the game. The sound was good too. I had no difficulty hearing the match over the noise of the crowded venue. Water was supplied next to the bar and was self service. It was constantly kept full. I never saw it empty. When the bar served so much it ran out of glasses they already had plastic cups available. Overall, great spot full of great people. Well done.

We even showed a passport which she refused to look at and said "IDs only". Like a federal ID isn't enough somehow?? We have been there every weekend for the past 3 weeks, never seen this girl, and all of a sudden refuses to serve us because one person has a completely valid ID, and she just wants to cause chaos. She refused to compare our IDs to prove the validity, and refused to budge. It was a valid ID, and the bartender was just being stubborn and didn't want to admit her mistake. It's really a shame because we live in walking distance and we're really enjoying being able to walk down and play pool and have a beer. Now we'll be going elsewhere.

Friendly, welcoming staff in a rustic setting. Had been misled by someone's review photos to think…read morethere was a view of the river from the outside seating area. There isn't. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, onion rings, and an order of fish and chips, alongside two flavored lemonades. Chicken was unremarkable--unseasoned, not marinated; unfortunately a bland and slightly tough piece of chicken. Came on a nice brioche bun with the caramelized onions being the best part of the dish (and meal). Our fish and onion rings were overly greasy. The fries were tasty and seemed fresh but unsalted and wilted beneath the fish and could have been crispier. My partner thought the sweet flavored lemonades were from a mix and there was no pulp. No pics. Seems the de rigueur order here is chicken wings, which we don't order. Would be a great place to hang with friends for drinks and conviviality; very casual vibe. But foodwise, our experience was very middle-of-the-road.
