I had the shepherd pub tots which were really good. Because I was traveling I had them put the shepherd pie on the side so it would stay better. The service is always warm and welcoming, and the friendly atmosphere has never changed. We've come for both lunch and dinner, and we've never been disappointed. On our most recent visit, we tried the bavarian sampler, and it completely blew us away. Every bite was packed with flavor, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Over the years, Sutter Buttes Brewing has become one of our favorite comfort spots, whether it's during the fall, winter, or summer. I also never received a follow-up call or an apology. Regardless of the outcome of the payment dispute, I believe no customer should ever be spoken to that way. I'm updating my review to reflect both the resolution of the dispute and my experience with the visual of credited transaction. The dispute may be resolved, but the way you treated my family is something I won't forget. You can replace money. You can't take back the words you chose to say. I hope no other customer has to experience what we did.

We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match.
