The only reason this doesn't get a one star review is because the process leading up to/during the auction was fairly seamless. Preview day at the auction yard was clearly established. Walk in, walk out easy. Online registering and using the auction software was pretty standard.
The vehicle I ended up winning was fairly early in the auction and the online platform was very ambiguous. Web platform said "You may have won!" I spent the rest of the day checking my email and the web platform to see if I had won. No confirmation.
Paid for the vehicle in full. One would expect to receive the title when you pay cash for a vehicle, but they explained the title would be sent from the actual seller. Ok... Been a couple of weeks now, still no title in sight. I was able to get ahold of the actual seller and was given another, "Keep waiting, we will send it to grubstake next week." Which is ironically the same answer I get when I talk to someone at Grubstake. Which is rare, seeing how they rarely answer the phone number listed.
Sounds a fair bit like fraud currently, but if it does pan out in the next couple weeks (months??), this will still have been an incredibly non-customer friendly experience and/or place to do business. read more
