Ok so, the taco bowl was good. I'm assuming this is their house sauce on it, I liked it. It gives me bbq sauce family taste, so if you like that then you'll enjoy this. The blackened basa and shrimp was delightful. It is a little spicy spice so if you can't hand at all, this might not be for you. But if you can take a little kick of pepper and then some you'll enjoy it. And the shrimp was nice sized thick shrimp. I appreciated that! The chicken quesadilla was good? That saucy sauce they have is mixed in the middle, so be aware of that if you're looking for the more original taste of a quesadilla. This is a black owned business that I was soo excited to support, and I will be returning to continue to support them. They are very busy, so DO ORDER YOUR FOOD Maybe about an hour out from when you actually want it.

Friendly service, I always like when the staff will talk and joke with you. There is parking on the nearest side street (Florence Ave), but no parking on the Main Street (Liberty Ave). I submitted updates to their info, but in case it doesn't work, their current address is the lot next to 1350 Liberty Ave, Hillside, NJ 07205. You can't really park in the lot itself as there is no driveway. You'd have to drive over the curb & sidewalk. I mean, I guess you could if you were willing to do that. Had the Oxtail empanadas, Walking (Beef) Taco, you provide the chips of your choice. Not a problem there is a 7-Eleven directly across the street, & the Oxtail Burrito. Everything was very good. They are expensive, so be prepared for that, but you get what you pay for. Grades: Oxtail Empanadas: A Walking Taco (Beef): A- Oxtail Burrito: B+

I was in the neighborhood delivering packages (wearing a neon netted vest) and asked the older lady…read morein the front if I could use the bathroom and let her know I was doing deliveries in the area. She seemed as if she didn't understand so I asked her if she understood what I was saying. She waved her hand toward the bathroom and said "okay". When I went to open the door it was locked. I said, "oh sorry" and then waited patiently. She comes out, I go in. As I'm leaving I say, "Thank you". When I'm almost to the door the young worker said, "you're not supposed to use the bathroom". I turned around and asked her to repeat herself. After I explained the earlier exchange with the lady that said I could use it she actually said I was lying. I told her I wasn't, but then explained to her that we all are working on the same side of servicing the community, we should be sticking together, and there is nothing wrong with allowing a delivery person to use the restroom. She continued to be argumentative and say I wasn't supposed to and that I was lying. This establishment was completely empty during the afternoon on a Friday. I have decided to leave this review because, as a black woman, I cannot be sure if her disrespect was racially motivated, especially in this social climate. I would never recommend someone patron a business that treats potential customers in such a classless and demeaning manner. It's unfortunate that she felt so comfortable being so disrespectful to a grown woman despite being addressed respectfully. The owner needs to sit her down and explain how the way she handled that was inappropriate and how split decisions can affect business. She definitely has some maturing to do.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my friend who suggested this spot. Parking on premise and had…read moreno issues getting a spot. Once we entered we got greeted by the host and got seated promptly. The place was pretty big inside and was not too loud. Ordered the tacos pollo ($14) which came in 4 and was pretty good. Also got the sopes carnitas ($15.10) which also came in 4 and was really filling and delicious. I like the sope better. The Coca Cola ($3.25) is the glass bottle type that you see at Mexican restaurants. Overall this is a solid Mexican spot and I would recommend this place if you are in the mood for tacos and sopes. * Great service

This time, I stopped in on a Friday night to check out the upstairs. The drinks were a 10/10 -- absolutely delicious and strong without skimping. The daiquiri and the chips and salsa were definitely the highlights of the night. The food was just okay. The garlic shrimp were pretty good, but the rice lacked flavor and the refried beans were barely a tablespoon spread across the plate. We also had the shrimp cocktail appetizer, which was just alright -- the shrimp were a little tough. Service was great. The waiter was friendly and attentive and moved fast! Overall, it's a fun vibe and a great spot to hang out and catch up over drinks, but I'd come more for the bar than the food. There's a municipal parking lot a short walk from the main entrance.

I went for happy hour 4-6pm in the bar which had $6 margaritas and $5-9 appetizers. I enjoyed the street corn which was covered in toppings. I shared the mini chicken chimi and wings which were flavorful and tasty. I felt the portions were decent to fill us up for dinner. They even had live music in the bar area on Wednesday nights! The vibes are definitely of an old school Mexican restaurant and a bit dark inside. Service is always friendly!
