We decided to sit outside, but because it started to drizzle, we went inside. We paid for our drinks outside and brought them in with us. The waiter was not friendly. Asked if we had paid for our drinks, I said we paid outside. I'm not sure if he believed me. When he finally came to take our drinks outside order, he seemed irritated with us. We got our drinks and order our meals. Our meals arrived very quickly and everything was wonderful. However, upon closing our bill, the waiter got very angry with me saying something about good service and no tip. We are literally in Germany where you don't tip. It's a cool place to see, but I'm not sure I would go back.

We chose to eat outside. We opted for fondue and what a perfect choice it was. Bread and veg for dipping. We also got a soft pretzel for fondue dipping. Drank Spaten beer, a refreshing, classic Bavarian beer. The fondue was some of the best cheese ever. It was Gruyère, Appenzeller (a firm Swiss), and Emmentaler (semi-hard yellow cheese) with cherry brandy and white wine. Served with potatoes, bread, and as mentioned above other veg. This centre city establishment is a must-eat.

Savannah our nurse told me my daughter took her medicine well and I thought she was crazy....but it was a boy in the elevator that planted the seed about where to go for stuffies and my daughter pivoted... After we got a stuffie my daughter agreed to go to the 12th floor. The 12 floor had different air up there like #23.... The 12 floor restored my faith with my daughter Adrian (named after #94) and her cousin Madisen showed me family IS the best medicine... The spazle portion was enormous and loaded with gorgeously caramelized onions and cheese. The cheese schnitzels were exactly as you could imagine, crispy crunchy on the outside with a golden crusty and ooey gooey stretchy cheese on the inside, paired with either sauce it was fantastic. Jaegar sauce was packed with mushrooms in a brown gravy and the Balkan were fresh chopped onions, a flavorful red sauce and a white sauce with fresh herbs. Amazing amazing. Easily one of the best meals I had on my trip. Oh I made a reservation by the way so not sure how walking in would look like. Staff were very nice.

If I wasn't in "vacation mode" though and this were in a city where I lived, I might dock a point for the prices.

I prefer the Essers - hopefully because I'm as uncomplicated as the restaurant and I rather go more often than just every month or so.

I watched the cook dump some frozen fries in the oil and remove them suspiciously quickly. Unfortunately, I assumed that he knew what he was doing, but when I got my dinner I found that the fries were so undercooked that they were cold in the middle! When I took them back up to he counter to ask for new fries, the women was absolutely incredulous. She could not possibly give me fresh, fully cooked fries I was told because I had already eaten off of the existing, half-raw fries. I didn't think that this was too much to ask, but she disagreed. Poor food, worse service.
