The restaurant was small, not too busy, w/ cute decor. When I arrived, I found my friends seated in the very back near the kitchen and restroom, which was my first issue with the experience. Since I was late, I did not make a fuss of it because I was unsure if all the other tables were full when my friends arrived. For appetizers, they ordered the deviled eggs, bacon and Brussels sprouts, all of which they enjoyed. For our entrees, a friend of mine and I ordered the avocado toast with no egg. Unfortunately, they removed the egg along with everything else so we were served cold "toast" and avocado (sadly, my friend actually had bits of browned avocado and just chose to not eat her food at all). Since we could not find our server, I asked another server that was nearby for a piece of hot toast along with the additional toppings that were not added, so I could try and rectify the situation myself, which he kindly brought. The issue with this was that he only brought a piece of hot toast and I had to ask for the ingredients again. Sadly, after all that, it was still very below subpar, flavorless, and worst of all, it was 18$. The home fries were delicious though, even though they weren't hot. Another friend ordered the burger and requested it cooked well done (since the menu said it is typically cooked medium), she even let the server know that she wanted it that way bc medium would upset her stomach. The burger came out and looked beautiful, with all the right fixins', however it was cooked medium. Once again, our server was nowhere to be found, so we asked a nearby server to have it remade which he did. When they brought it out again, we were assured it was made well done, however when she cut it, it was in fact medium. They kindly remade it, and the third time was a charm. They were kind enough to even Comp it and the chef even came out as well, which was nice. Another friend ordered the lobster roll, apparently when they first ordered appetizers, but when it took so long to arrive, the server let us know she had not put the order in because she thought it was an entree. This was an honest mistake/ miscommunication, this also occurred at the beginning of our experience so it was not a big deal. Despite the fact that 3 of the 4 of us did not enjoy our food or had issues, one of my friends DID enjoy her food, so we will take that as a win (especially since she's pregnant so we really needed her to enjoy her meal)!!! I understand and appreciate the service and hospitality industry, but with that being said, I want to feel valued and appreciated as a guest. This whole experience was truly upsetting. It seemed like no matter how clearly we communicated our orders and requests, they were disregarded. I also understand that mistakes happen, as do miscommunications but that fact that it was constant, just showed a lack of care for us as guests. And to top all of this off, our server that was really not very attentive, and was hard to find at times. I do appreciate the restaurants attempts to fix the issues but unfortunately the amount of errors is something I can't not ignore. I can wholeheartedly say I/we will never return to this restaurant.
