It didn't take long to realize that they didn't just have glasses, they had a selection of unique frames and sunglasses you simply don't find elsewhere, which I really appreciated. I had read that the owner Julian was wonderful and he certainly lived up to the reputation. The personalized attention, the patience and time he spends with you makes you feel like you're the only one in the store. Truly happy with my experience The staff is wonderful, too I would give this more than five stars if I could. James Greene

I was first met by Optician and Owner Jeff Bilfeld, we chatted about our similar backgrounds both being from NYC! He couldn't have been nicer! I was in love with the store from the moment I stepped in! It's in a cute little house! I have never seen so many choices and varieties as well as amazing frames from companies I've never heard of that couldn't have been more unique! He told me they have an optician on site to do an eye exam and that they can have your new prescriptions ready same day and in an hour! Well all this sounded amazing and then I had my appointment! The optician I saw was so nice, the service was straight to the point! I left two pairs of glasses and had one more for them to do when I picked up my first two! When I saw what the price was for the three glasses done exactly how I wanted with all the "bells and whistles", I was blown away! One pair of my glasses couldn't be done for the price of the three back in NYC! I can't wait to go back and pick out another frame really soon! Jeff wears the most unique frames and we picked out ones by the same company he wears that we would like for my face! He isn't pushy, he isn't telling you get it now, he just said when you are ready come in! Plus a place that's completely dog friendly always wins in my book and my puppies tummy! Don't go anywhere but here! Run don't walk to go get your new frames whether they are for vision or merely a new pair of sunglasses, his selection is better than any you will find elsewhere and it's right in the heart of downtown Boca!

I was looking for an eye doctor 3 years ago and I am a big fan of word of mouth advertising. My…read moreco-worker at the time recommended Dr.Weston at we are eyes. She warmed me that the framed glasses were a little higher than normal but that the individual treatment and one on one relationship and time spent would make up for it. It has now been three (3) years, two contact lens Rx and glasses and I am completely satisfied and trust Dr. Weston with my eyes. This time around there was no changed in my script for my eyeballs for either the contacts or the glasses. Prior to my examination, there is testing done to measure my eyes, photos are taken of my retinas, and other tests are done to help the doctor determine the course of action. I appreciate that these tests are are available. There is an extra cost for them. While I am waiting in the lobby they have dvds to watch. That helps the time go by quicker. I was watching the big band theory this time around. It was the episode where Penny thought she slept with Raj. It was funny. I would recommend this place to my friends and have. I will keep on coming here for years to come. They remember me every time I am here. The process are reasonable and the personal touch is more than evident.

If you want a place with great customer service, go elsewhere. If you want awful customer service…read moreand then by all means visit this disaster of an office. If I could give negative stars for this review I would, but instead I will give the highlights: - My sister and I stopped by this place the week before Christmas because we both needed glasses. My sister lives a few miles away and I live 70 miles round trip BUT, as I had found a frame I liked and figured it would only be one more trip I went ahead with the process. - After picking my frames I also selected from options presented to me; scratch protection, anti-glare and transition from light to dark. - My sister and I picked up our glasses at the same time we noticed immediately that my sister's were not well made. Since I had only had a prescription filled (unlike my sister who had the whole eye exam prior to picking frames) a lot of time was spent figuring out what was wrong with her glasses and mine were only adjusted to my face. - When I got home I realized that MY glasses were also badly made. When looking straight at the glasses you could see the rough edges of the lenses inside. It's OK if you can see that from the back - but from the front - which is where people would be looking at me - it was unacceptable. I've worn glasses since I was six years old, that's not how glasses are made. When I called to explain the issue, I was told to provide photos. I emailed the photos and they called me back to say that the reason I had those rough, unfinished edges was because I hadn't asked for the edges to be polished. I pointed out that "polishing the edges" wasn't one of the options presented to me and that I have never seen glasses where you could see the edges of lenses (as though they didn't quite fit into the frame). - I was told they there would be an $18 charge to "polish" the edges but the glasses would have to go back to the lab where the lenses were made. I explained again that I lived 35 miles one way so I arranged for my sister to drop off the glasses so I wouldn't have to make the 70 mile round trip to fix an error that was not my fault. - Then Dr. Weston called me to say that they had decided not to charge me the $18 as a courtesy. - About a week after my sister dropped off the glasses I got a phone call telling me that my frames had been broken by the lab and as that was the last pair (suddenly they were discontinued), I now had to go back and select another pair or buy frames elsewhere and take them in so that they could put in the lenses. I asked why they didn't just refund me my money given that my experience had been less than great and they said that the lenses had already been made and I had no choice. I explained AGAIN that I do not live in the area but that did not matter. - I went back another week later and selected another frame (though not a designer frame, they just happened to be exactly the same price as the designer pair so, no, I would not be getting any money back.) - They promised to mail the new glasses to me so that I wouldn't have to drive there and back again. - A week later I received a voice mail saying they were unable to ship my glasses and I would have to come in to pick them up. When I called back the girl that had left the voicemail wasn't in so I spoke with another girl and pressed her about why they couldn't ship my glasses (given that you can ship just about anything through USPS). After a lot of back and forth she finally admitted that it was because I had not paid to have them shipped to my home. I don't blame the employees there, I blame Dr. Erin Weston - everyone there works under her direction so if there is lousy customer service, it's because Erin Weston is very comfortable providing inferior service. The footnote to this is that there is a constant smudge on the lenses of my new glasses. I haven't bothered to take them in because I will not get one little bit of help or satisfaction from WE ARE EYES. This is a horrible place; I'd rather fly to another state for new glasses than deal with this sub-standard quality and abysmal service again. Or, I'll go back to Costco where I have never had one problem. Ever.

Unexpectedly stumbled upon View Optical on Atlantic Ave in early July…read more What an amazing space, and, selection of unique high-end frames. We were greeted by Dina, who's sales and customer service skills are unmatched. I purchased two pairs of Jacques Marie Mage frames, along with lenses, totaling $3200. Dina provided a timeline which was reasonable based on the unique lens shapes and frames. Four weeks pass, and I hear nothing, so I called. No, answer so I left a voicemail, no call back. Then, a second call, same experience. I then walked to their store for an update, to find a note on their door saying they were closed due to a staffing issue. So I called their other location and was told they could not assist with transactions at the Atlantic Ave location. Two days later I was able speak with someone on the phone. I was told one pair was completed, and ready for pickup. However, he was quite flustered, and short, explaining he was alone in the store and would be leaving soon. I rushed in, was handed my glasses and he scurried away. I asked for info on the second pair and received a vague answer, once again being told he was alone, and very busy. Two weeks later I called and was told the second pair had just been sent to the lab and he did not know the timeline. I refreshed his memory on the transaction and he said he would research it and call me back. An hour later he called saying they were done and in the store, I told him I'd be in later in the day to pick them up. I walked to the store around 3:00 only to find another note on the door saying he was closed due to no staffing. Frustrated I walked down the avenue and grabbed a bite, walking back, and past I noticed now it was open so went in. He was alone again, clearly agitated and retrieved my second pair. This time I was able to try them on, get them fitted, etc, but he was being a pompous ass the entire time. It's beyond my comprehension that a business that appears to be of this caliber would operate at this level, completely dropping the ball, zero communication, zero service, zero customer service, zero staff, and blatantly rude. I was so thrilled to find this business, and the glasses I purchased, but due to the post-sales experience I would have a hard time patronizing them in the future.
