For last 5 years I have used Grove Marine for service and supplies. Was 100% satisfied until this year. Took my boat in for repairs on July 22, 2019 and pick it up 8 weeks later - not fixed yet !! Granted there was apparently serious problems but they were not capable of finding and solving the issues. My boat motor became an "experiment" : let's try this, nope not fixed, oops forgot to order needed parts - wait another week - try something else - didn't work either- oops need more parts....... Bottom line - they are good for regular service but if have serious problems go somewhere else. read more

On vacation with my wife and 3 daughters. We have a big week planned on the boat and on the first day in the water my boat fails to start. Needless to say the faces on my family were all looking at me to fix it. And that's exactly what I did. It was easy. I just took my boat to Grove Marine (based on the good reviews) and they (Ernie) fixed it (new starter) in just minutes. These are really good people with a kind spirit that truly care about people. Let me start off by saying they were nice folks. Now in 2013 I was on a mission to get a toy and on their website I saw what I wanted! We drove all the way up there and they said ok let's test drive it, first problem the battery was dead and everything was unhooked / disconnected? (Range finder etc) weird right? Ok so they jumped the boat and rigged it up so that it would last us enough to get the boat in our hands ! Big mistake as soon as we got home and put the boat in the water the whole engine part had water pouring in it omg the boat stalled in the lake and we almost sunk the boat thats how much water was in it and we figured out the hose was to small and busted! thank god the pump worked to get all the water out! Then problem after problem never ending , but yet the place we bought this boat at is a repair shop also? Here are some problems we found so far .... and had to fix! replace gimbal bearing, flywheel, starter, trim, rewired the whole boat!!! yea the boat was wired wrong thats why everything was unplugged when we bought it bc it drained the battery,alternator, the lights werent wired either. This is just to name a few things.... now buying the boat for 8k and all the repairs we had to do to it is running us almost the price of a brand new boat! Like i said nice folks but beware when you buy a boat from here. They have seemed to rig it up for you to buy it then its to late. To me letting a family drive off knowing that everything is not in working order and your a boat repair shop as well is very unfair esp spending that kind of money! read more

I read the previous review and felt compelled to respond. I have dealt with this company for the past two years and have had numerous opportunities to confirm their service. I have purchased, sold, and serviced two boats through this company. My experience has always been positive. Repairs times have been accurately predicted and in the event of an emergency, they have always worked me in. Their customer service skills, from a sales and repair perspective, are a target for companies to achieve. I have, and will continue, to send business their way at any opportunity - because of my personal experience. They have gained my trust and support, which isn't really that easy to do.
