I got three bids for cleaning and sealing the tile and grout in my two bathrooms, plus readhering three tiles in my kitchen. Grout Works bid was $5 more than one of the bidders and almost half of the other company. I was impressed with Brendan's knowledge and enthusiasm. One of the bidders said he couldn't seal the grout in one of my bathrooms, because the tiles were so small and would take too long to do. Brendan has a product that wipes over the whole floor, sealing the grout, then he polishes the tile. My upstairs bathroom was so white when he was done that it practically hurt my eyes with the glare! Not only did he do a great job on the tiles, but also he did a fantastic job recaulking around my tub, shower, sinks, and toilets...so smooth and even. Two of the companies said they couldn't guarantee that my kitchen tiles would not loosen and that the grout would stay in. Brendan said he could guarantee it, but that I had to have access to spare tiles in case they broke when he was taking them up. I got them up with a metal spatula and he glued them down with something like "hard as nails" and then filled in the spaces around them with grout, plus many other places on the floor that were missing grout. After it dries and hardens Brendan is going to come back to color it to match the rest of the grout, which has turned a dark grey. We initially contacted GroutWorks, in hopes of having a few cracked tiles in our home repaired/replaced; however, quickly learned the company's skillset included cleaning the grout of all tiles at a very reasonable price, resulting in an overall finished look beyond our expectations! In addition to appreciating Brendan's immediate response to our initial call (where he clearly managed expectations related to cost/time/etc), we were also very pleased by the quality of work performed by Brendan and his colleague, Stephanie! They arrived promptly as scheduled and took great care to complete the job within promised timeframe, along with taking extra care to not leave any dirt/miscellaneous particles behind! The company is licensed, bonded and insured, which along with the many outstanding reviews from past customers, gave us confidence they would be a great match for our needs. It's clear GroutWorks excellent reputation is well-deserved and we were pleased to have found such a quality company! This was a simple job: Repair a tub enclosure where the original contractors had failed to use a waterproof sealant. Instead they'd used simple tile grout and, after 3 years of use, that grout was cracking and falling away. Grout Works was tricky to get in touch with and made it clear that they really didn't want a job this small. They informed me that they have a $300.00 minimum, which I didn't see as a problem since I figuring that they'd have to spend a fair amount of time removing the existing grout. So, reluctantly, Grout Works agreed to an appointment for the following week. Day of the appointment comes...and...no Grout Works. They didn't show, didn't call, didn't have the decency to re-schedule. A complete waste of time and a day away from work to boot. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. While Brendan "sells" his work so you feel comfortable having him do the job, DO NOT FALL for it. He is a nice person but incapable and incompetent at tile grouting, caulking, shower restoration. Check out the website and notice a few things: No address whatsoever, no person name whom to contact. We hired Brendan to re-grout our tile in the foyer since it was cracking and then the same in our master bath, plus re-caulking our shower "it will look brand new." Um, yeah, so for starters: grout was cracking same day, tile was filthy with residue of film grout that I had to clean off, the wrong caulk was applied to shower tracking, base of bathtub, toilet and floor that did not dry -- I repeat -- did not dry. Application was Friday mid-morning and by Sunday 7 pm still not dry, wet wet, not even sticky like it was setting up. Our shower also had filthy residue on tile that was "re-grouted," shower faucet knobs had a white residue on as well. We did not walk on, clean tile in foyer until late Saturday, did not shower until Sunday late afternoon. The shower tiles look exactly like they did before he got here. Went to Home Depot and bought caulk gun, caulk. I had to completely wipe off the caulk that he applied, only to find out that he caulked OVER existing caulk. Nothing was dug out. I can't make this up. I re-caulked my toilet and floor, with more work to be done. Let me also mention this little nugget: I have NEVER caulked in my life so here I am on a Sunday night redoing work that he did. Husband left a message on Saturday afternoon telling Brendan that work was not good, no return phone call. One good thing: we documented, took pictures and took video of his work. read more

Met Brandon at the Capital Home show and scheduled repair of grout in master bath shower. The grout started chipping within a week of installation. It took numerous emails and phone calls over 2 months to get him back out to fix it. The second attempt started chipping in about a week. Brandon has not responded after repeated calls and emails. Terrible service and a waste of money. read more

Scheduled an appointment weeks in advance. Today they were supposed to come for the estimate and to do the grout work at 9:00 am. They never showed up nor called. We left messages and an email to find out what happened, yet no one has responded. Don't waste your time with this company. Totally unprofessional. read more
