We were in town for the Festival and needed a quick and easy lunch that didn't consist of burgers…read moreand fries. My son spotted Stratford Thai and we decided to try it. It's a small restaurant, I don't know if they take reservations but if they do you should make one. Service was friendly but spotty. We were seated promptly, got our menus right away but we had to remind our server that we ordered wine to go with our meals. Onto the food, the food is the reason it's got 5 stars. My son is a connoisseur of Thai food and he said his basil stir fry was the best he ever had. I had Panang curry and it was so good I used my serving spoon to eat all of the sauce. My granddaughter ordered the Pho. I've had Pho before and this was as good as I've ever had. The next time I go to Stratford this will be one of the places I plan on eating

Clean and cozy little restaurant with friendly, helpful staff…read more We ordered off the lunch menu and I enjoyed the Pineapple Chicken Currry with the side of Spring Rolls (you have a choice between the spring rolls or salad). Fragrant Jasmine rice also accompanied this dish. It was absolutely delicious! Crispy spring rolls with a light, delicate dipping sauce. Savory flavor bomb of coconut curry with just a hint of heat. There was a decent amount of chicken breast and the bell peppers and pineapple were a perfect balance to this wonderful dish. My friend ordered the vegetable stir fry with a side of pineapple which she said was delicious. It also came with Jasmine rice. I hope to visit again before we return to the States. So darned delicious and their Pad Thai looked amazing that another customer near us had ordered. Highly recommend!

Delicious food. Excellent service. Cool, colorful decor. Fun ambiance. What more could you ask for?…read more I really love the decor and vibe here. Everything is warm and welcoming. The staff is attentive and kind. I loved my Caesar salad! It already came with bacon and I added shrimp too. The Miso-Caesar dressing was delicious. I had a non alcoholic seltzer with cardamom and it was delicious. I enjoyed my side of fries with the homemade aioli too. My friends loved their falafel smash burger and fried chicken sandwich. Everything here is homemade and made from scratch. I would gladly come back.

Decent food and lovely server. HOWEVER, busy, crowded, and noisy…read more We reserved a table for 2 at 6PM on a Saturday evening for dinner ahead of an 8PM curtain. We were seated without delay at a table along the wall opposite the kitchen. There seemed to be a lot of tables and all were full. It was a very hot day, 30C with humidity, and we were very glad to be indoors with AC. Our server was a lovely man and we enjoyed our conversations, these went beyond just our meals and included baseball and his sister's farm. Unsurprisingly we consider the service superb. We ordered the Buttermilk Chicken and the Classic Bento Box, our meals came quickly and portions were fine. Quibbles I had with the Bento box are as follows: I found the Miso soup a bit too salty and a bit thin on Miso. The Kimchi seemed a bit on the acidy side to me. Having steamed rice paired with dumplings and Karaage chicken seems pointless. Sort of like having bread served with your hot dog. I did enjoy the pork and shrimp dumplings and the chicken was also good. As mentioned the room was loud, the sound pressure level seemed high and required speaking louder than normal to have a conversation with my spouse. Once past the bar, there is a line of tables down one wall and opposite the kitchen. Every single table seemed to hold a party of two and the space used to maximize seating. This narrow space seemed to contain sound and made for a busy and noisy space. All told, it felt like the place was set up to maximize turnover while offering an interesting menu that is competently prepared and served. It would have been better if it was less busy.

10/10 would recommend…read more I've been getting delivery from here for a while now, so I knew the food was good, but this was my first time actually going to the restaurant and eating in! The place is so cute, fun atmosphere and easy ordering. They have daily specials and a 10% student discount which make the already affordable dishes even more value. There are games on the table to play while you're waiting for food, and service is great. Definitely going to be coming in to eat more often! I got the Thai spicy noodle soup, and it wasn't really that spicy which I really appreciated (but if you're craving spicy food maybe get the curry or add chilli oil). My other favourites include the pad Thai, the green curry, and the Tom yum soup.

This is such a cute hole in the wall place!…read more Located underneath the Sage building on Spruce, there is very little parking but some nonetheless at the side where King Tin is. When you enter the restaurant you'll see long tables, high top tables and then a large counter. This is a restaurant that lets you practice your social skills to share tables with others. You must order from the counter and then they'll bring the food to you. WiFi available. Daily specials available as well. They have a self serve water pitcher if you'd like to drink water and not order anything else. Ordered: Red curry with chicken Came with a large portion of rice. Curry was spicy with a little sweet after taste. Coconut milk, large chicken pieces, veg, bamboo shoots... this was delicious! Green curry with chicken Tastes a little creamier than the red. Ingredients are about the same. Very good. Slight Spiciness. Panang curry with beef Lots of veg. Very mild curry flavour. Prob my fave curry dish so far. Tom kha soup? This is a coconut milk chicken broth soup with pieces of mushrooms and we added shrimp. This is a very mild soup. It's not bad. But not my fave. Thai iced tea is sweet. Very very yum. It's not on their menu but for sure something worth ordering! A hidden gem in Waterloo. Very good Thai food.
