Their manager, Sarah, didn't even wait for me to finish my complaint before trying to turn things around on me, telling me the sidewalk damage would be OUR responsibility. Her first instinct wasn't to come up with a solution for the repair, but instead to tell me they were going to cancel my account. When I tried to relay my concerns, Jeremy (the company owner) threatened me with legal action. Instead of addressing the issue at hand, he tried deflecting blame by complaining about where my workers parked their truck. Even more concerning was his use of language--things like, "your MEXICAN guys" and "their cheap labor." As a woman of color, I honestly felt pretty threatened by these statements.
