Ground Central is an excellent coffee shop that has exceeded any expectation I could have. The ambience, decorum, and overall aesthetic satisfy your eye immediately. The staff is very sweet and their customer service is great. I highly recommend their drip latte, I got mine with oat milk. Plus, I got my first order with them for FREE because of their app's special offer for first timers. Even though my order was free, I wouldn't have minded paying any price they set because the coffee was that excellent. Seeing how other customers even interacted with staff sealed my evaluation of the kind of business they are. The eclectic decor with leather sofas and library collection add to the cozy ambiance, putting it a couple steps ahead of its competitors. I love this place for coffee and the egg frittata sandwich on multi-grain bread which is a healthier egg mcmuffin. People are really nice, too, the coffee is great and the atmosphere and interior is really relaxing. Visiting the area and stopped by this Ground Central Coffee 9/15 around 1:50pm for a cold beverage. The interior is very lovely and nicely done and so is the attention to detail. There were two staff working - a female and a tall male. The female(name on receipt Etienne) who processed my payment and order is the reason for the 2-Star rating instead of a 5. Her customer service was unacceptable. She had a somewhat distracted, bothered, disinterested, and distant disposition. When it came time to leave the tip on the screen, the tone of her voice when she verbally directed me to select an option on the screen was tinged with attitude and disrespect. If it weren't for the lovely interior and the pleasant and friendly male staff I'd give this outfit a 1-Star. A smile doesn't cost anything but brings many rewards. Management needs to counsel this employee on the importance of good customer service. read more

I'm not sure if the hours recently changed but I approached the door at 720 am and it was locked it has definitely always been open at that time before because I'm always on the same schedule but maybe the hours recently changed I now noticed open at 730 on the door. I waited outside for ten minutes while employees just stood inside, tried the door at 732 still locked while again employees standing around. They could have opened the door a little early or at least on time when people are standing out in the august heat. Won't return better options out there. It is also weird for a coffee place not too be open at 6 they are probably missing a huge chunk of business being they are right by the train station. read more

Just stopped in today on a whim as I was in a shop next door. I love trying and supporting smaller coffee shops so I HAD to try it. I got a large london fog and omg-it was SO good. Sometimes fogs are hit or miss but this one was a total hit! I was also very happy that I received a discount when I mentioned I worked around the block. (Neighbor discount). Came here three times in one week because the cold brew/nitro cold brew is so good! The menu is simple and there's plenty of space to hangout or do some work. I didn't know what to expect when a trendy coffee shop opened up in place of Starbucks here. I was a little disappointed to find out they just served La Colombe coffee without any signage. Don't get me wrong I love La Colombe, but if the draft latte tap isn't working, why bother? Its definitely a nice space for locals to get some work done and sit in a comfortable space for the afternoon, but overall some improvements can be made. Making sure everything is stocked and functioning is a good place to start. read more

Went there on a Thursday night with my girls, just to catch up. The place was half-full and the vibe very chill. We ordered ginger tea (staff fills tea bags, which are more like tea socks - in a good way) the girls really enjoyed it. I had a pale ale beer at 1/2 price. Food was half price as well so I tried quite a bit - vegan/gf pumpkin bread, vegan/gf banana bread, a tomato and cheese sandwich, lemon pound cake. The girls had some kind of biscuit.
