What an adorable little coffee chop!! And much needed for the area! I had an iced coffee with vanilla syrup and it wasn't too bitter. The chocolate chip cookie I had was a good size with good flavor. I loved the decor of this place!! It's great for studying or for grabbing coffee with friends. Next time I visit family on the island I definitely will stop back in! read more

Update to previous review. The reason why it took so long was because the manufacture of this particular item was out of stock. It is just so disappointing to the regulars are rely on the high quality of their product, but the store level cannot control this. read more

Ground Central is an excellent coffee shop that has exceeded any expectation I could have. The ambience, decorum, and overall aesthetic satisfy your eye immediately. The staff is very sweet and their customer service is great. I highly recommend their drip latte, I got mine with oat milk. Plus, I got my first order with them for FREE because of their app's special offer for first timers. Even though my order was free, I wouldn't have minded paying any price they set because the coffee was that excellent. Seeing how other customers even interacted with staff sealed my evaluation of the kind of business they are. The coffee is ahhhmazing! I ordered a French vanilla latte and hubby had the pumpkin spice. Dee-lish with no bitter taste or need for additional sweeteners. The eclectic decor with leather sofas and library collection add to the cozy ambiance, putting it a couple steps ahead of its competitors. Perfect location for commuters and a nice spot to chill after movies, dinner, or 'just because'. A wonderful addition to Lynbrook and I will definitely be a regular customer. I love this place for coffee and the egg frittata sandwich on multi-grain bread which is a healthier egg mcmuffin. People are really nice, too, the coffee is great and the atmosphere and interior is really relaxing. I live a couple towns south yet have no problem driving here on a Sunday morning for coffee and breakfast to go. Definitely try it out. They're a great alternative to Starbucks. read more

Visiting the area and stopped by this Ground Central Coffee 9/15 around 1:50pm for a cold beverage. The interior is very lovely and nicely done and so is the attention to detail. There were two staff working - a female and a tall male. The female(name on receipt Etienne) who processed my payment and order is the reason for the 2-Star rating instead of a 5. Her customer service was unacceptable. She had a somewhat distracted, bothered, disinterested, and distant disposition. When it came time to leave the tip on the screen, the tone of her voice when she verbally directed me to select an option on the screen was tinged with attitude and disrespect. If it weren't for the lovely interior and the pleasant and friendly male staff I'd give this outfit a 1-Star. A smile doesn't cost anything but brings many rewards. Management needs to counsel this employee on the importance of good customer service. read more

Just stopped in today on a whim as I was in a shop next door. I love trying and supporting smaller coffee shops so I HAD to try it. I got a large london fog and omg-it was SO good. Sometimes fogs are hit or miss but this one was a total hit! I was also very happy that I received a discount when I mentioned I worked around the block. (Neighbor discount). Came here three times in one week because the cold brew/nitro cold brew is so good! The menu is simple and there's plenty of space to hangout or do some work. I have to try more of their gluten free pastries though. Those were just okay in my experiences so far. Great addition to the Lynbrook plaza! read more

I didn't know what to expect when a trendy coffee shop opened up in place of Starbucks here. I was a little disappointed to find out they just served La Colombe coffee without any signage. Don't get me wrong I love La Colombe, but if the draft latte tap isn't working, why bother? Its definitely a nice space for locals to get some work done and sit in a comfortable space for the afternoon, but overall some improvements can be made. Making sure everything is stocked and functioning is a good place to start. read more

I would like to start by saying that I love the decor and ambiance. Everything is very well put together. I just hate that I pass by it everyday and I never saw it until the other day my cousin came from NJ to visit me and pointed it out. I'm not sure if the hours recently changed but I approached the door at 720 am and it was locked it has definitely always been open at that time before because I'm always on the same schedule but maybe the hours recently changed I now noticed open at 730 on the door. I waited outside for ten minutes while employees just stood inside, tried the door at 732 still locked while again employees standing around. They could have opened the door a little early or at least on time when people are standing out in the august heat. Won't return better options out there. It is also weird for a coffee place not too be open at 6 they are probably missing a huge chunk of business being they are right by the train station. read more

Good coffee, La Colombe, with some tasty baked goods. Egg frittata on croissant roll was very good. Good flat white. Like that they have good iced coffee as well as cold brew. I don't love cold brew, so having only that iced sticks. Great, laid back, retro vibe. Nice decor and music, nice workers. Great addition to the area. In NYC and I hope they blow up on LI. read more

This place is super cute. Located in the Philips shopping plaza next to entemans and some other shops. Great location with ample parking available. They also offer a student discount which is great. Overall a great place to come for coffee and reading. Love the vibe here! read more

I haven't lived near there in a couple months but honestly it's so good that I just thought about it. The baristas were always nice to me! Yeah the muffins are over priced but the coffee is great and they have a different happy hour deal every day. It's spacious and has a calm, pleasant atmosphere. read more

Its so nice and refreshing to have a REAL true coffeehouse in my hometown area, i have a place to work , there are absolutely great baristas who work here such friendly professionals ! They even have events here ! The art and atmosphere is amazing ! Everyone is friendly this is a true gem in the neighborhood ! Went there on a Thursday night with my girls, just to catch up. The place was half-full and the vibe very chill. We ordered ginger tea (staff fills tea bags, which are more like tea socks - in a good way) the girls really enjoyed it. I had a pale ale beer at 1/2 price. Food was half price as well so I tried quite a bit - vegan/gf pumpkin bread, vegan/gf banana bread, a tomato and cheese sandwich, lemon pound cake. The girls had some kind of biscuit. This place is great! I just started working in the area and come here to get a cup of coffee and ended up trying the spinach turnover toasted up... delicious! I'm so happy Ground Central opened at the old Starbucks spot. All the drinks I've tried here have been so good. The baristas know their stuff and are all very nice. It's a bit pricey but the place is so nice inside with the murals and library and furniture. Good addition to the community. read more

I have been buying 2 pounds of beans from Coffee Nut every 2 weeks for almost six years. That is…read morethousands of dollars worth of coffee. I never once took the free coffees although very rarely I would pass on my free cups to the person behind me if the opportunity presented itself. Occasionally my son would come with me to get a muffin and sometimes a nice lady there would give me the muffin in the place of the free coffees. Today I asked for that for the first time ever and instead giving me the $4 muffin instead of $6 worth of coffee they refused and said they will not do that anymore. I understand that no business is obligated to give you anything for "free" but when you have loyal customers that spend thousands of dollars at premium coffee prices, policies like that make no sense. The bean prices there are bordering on unaffordable and we patronized the business anyway to support a local business. I will no longer be buying coffee from them, but I still wish them the best.
