Books, comfy couches, tables, enough space to walk around. Absolutely beautiful. This is why my starts are not 1. I ordered a vanilla latte and a caramel latte. When I say, this tasted like drip coffee you'd make while getting ready for work, I'm not joking. NO, espresso depth, NO espresso bitterness, NO espresso taste. Just literally tasted like, you poured drip coffee into a cup and added milk. I'm sure there's other things they are amazing at. My order, was horrible. I'd rate Ground Central four and a half stars. Stopped in for cup of tea. They had about a dozen varieties of teas spread across black, green, and herbal. I had a cup of the gunpowder tea. I also grabbed a vegan tahini chocolate chip cookie which was rather interesting. Atmosphere is super chill. Lots of cozy seating making it perfect for studying, quiet work, or reading. read more

I am trying to stay away from overly commercialized coffee shops and finally gave ground central a try. The lemon poppy seed muffin and blueberry crumb are both unctuous. The coffee is creamy and robust without being bitter. The service has been hit or miss but mostly a hit. I am yet to sit inside but the vibes are always calm. read more

I'm obsessed with their Nutella banana loaf. This thing was baked with love and you taste it in every bite. It's not too sweet. It soo soft, fluffy and delicious. With every bite you can taste the Banana loaf with a swirl of Nutella. This place is also a cafe that offers free WiFi if you need to get some work done or read a book. Nice cozy spot to sit and read or study. Nice place to gather for small groups or a coffee date, there's books and games around the room. The music is always a nice touch and the decor/art is a good vibe. I love coming here to get work done, it has a peaceful environment. It's nice and spacious, always clean too. They have the best chai latte, but also great coffee. Small selection of food and pastries, but it's just enough for a pick me up. They staff is ALWAYS pleasant and they don't ever hassle you for using the space to get work done for too long. Love this place. Used to go when it was previously Starbucks to study. Definitely prefer this place. They still have the long communal table. There are cozy chairs, couches, and loveseats. Great music. A lot of people were studying. I ordered a cold brew large coffee with coconut milk and caramel syrup. It was pretty good. I was told the cookies are divine. Got one for my grandmother and she loved it. I ordered the Nutella banana loaf and I absolutely fell in love. It has been on my mind since yesterday. It was extremely moist and so delicious. This is my absolute favorite coffee shop on Long Island. I typically order some variation of an oat milk latte and it never disappoints. I am pretty picky about my coffee: I like a bold, rich, warm, dark flavor of coffee and that is always what I get when I go here. Hot or iced, doesn't matter, it's always great. (I've been over 10 times in a little over a year now.) The baked goods and prepared food is always amazing and definitely worth the price. I personally love the Nutella banana bread and rosemary biscuits. The service is always quick and the employees are so kind. The space is so cozy. They play great music. And of course, I love the books. This is the perfect place for a quick cup of coffee, coffee with a friend, to relax with a book, or to get some work done. I found this thanks to yelp and let me just say, what an absolute gem! I'm so excited this place is here. The ambiance is unbeatable and the decor is fabulous! I had their avocado salad which was AMAZING! I cannot emphasize how good it was and how pleasantly surprised I was with it. The tap latte was also really good and made with oat milk! And lastly the man who seemed like the owner recommended a Nutella banana bread. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back with all of my friends and family! This coffee shop has a great atmosphere. Big comfy couches. The ambience is very chill. Their brew taste great. Note : I drink mine black with nothing in it. Some great looking coffee shops have the atmosphere with mediocre coffee, not this place.l and I appreciate it that. Staff-wise, they are friendly. I haven't attended any of their game nights, but they advertised one which I find pretty charming. I left my water bottle one day and they kept it for me the next time I returned. First the coffee is expensive but about as good as Dunkin or 7/11 sizes are small only regular or large ... And large is 20 Oz's for over $3.00 ... Visit Date: January 19, 2019 I had to use the bathroom and I had a little time before needing to arrive to work so I pulled into Phillip's plaza thinking I was going to go into the former Starbucks to use the bathroom and get a $5 gift card for my cousin. To my surprise they replaced Starbucks with Ground Central and I was happy to have a new coffee place to jump in and try. The coffee was good, I just got a regular coffee. To my delight they had almond milk in a container available for you to pour in yourself. Most of the time when I get coffee they have to put the almond milk in for me or I have to ask for it. They had some gluten free truffles I look forward to trying one day when I get on the maintenance part of my newer stricter cleaner food plan my nutritionist put me on. They also had coffee for sale that I would like to stop in and buy one day, we have a good amount of coffee at home now so I don't need more at the moment and they tempted me with travel mugs and water bottles two of my weaknesses that I definitely have an overflow of. Nice to see a new cafe in Lynbrook open up that has that city-like cafe vibe. Conveniently it is located across the Lynbrook LIRR, so commuters can easily grab a cup on the go if need on their way into work. There are many options of seating from the communal table where you can work on a laptop or eat some bites as you got your cup of Joe. There is also couch seating as well as a few accent chairs to lounge and hang out while sipping your cup of Joe. I like they have a good variety of types of coffee from cold brew, single origin and nitro including the usuals (cappuccino, latte, etc). It's good to know that they also have milk alternatives (almond milk and soy milk) for those who can't handle lactose. If coffee isn't your thing, they also have teas you can order instead. Bites here include scones, sweets (cookies and brownies), muffins and more. Next time I'm hoping to try the nitro brew. read more

There aren't many coffee shops like this in Nassau if any - cool vibe, comfy seating, great espresso drinks and free wifi. I've been twice and if I lived closer it would be a regular stop. The last time I had to do some work while I waited for a car repair to be done at a local dealership and this place was within walking distance so I stopped in, got one of the better lattes I've had and it was quiet enough to be able to get my work done. The previous barista at this establishment made impeccable tasting coffee.... every time. But who ever the owners family member or friend that was hired, which wasn't based on competence or skill. Couldn't make coffee taste good if her life depended on it. I had to spit out that bland, mediocre tasting excuse of liquid. I hope the owner or manager reads this and tastes the slop this pretend barista is serving customers. After having constant bad luck with the local Starbucks and Dunkin we decided to give this place a try. It's a really cool looking place and the cashier was extremely friendly. So I went in today and had a very simple order a large black coffee with a sweet and low. Paid 3.15 for a maybe 20 ounce cup of coffee I asked if the sweetener was already put in and was told no it's on the wall. I go to the wall and there is no sweet and low, " The only sweetener I use is sweet and low which I have been using it since the 70s I don't use any other types". I asked the person who I ordered my coffee with if they have sweet and low and am told I'm sorry no we don't we have Stevia and splenda and he is taking more about three other sweeteners there. I was clear when I ordered my coffee a large black with sweet and low if I knew they didn't have sweet and low i wouldn't have ordered anthing. Being in a rush to catch a train I left my over priced code on the counter told them to throw it out and left. Some may think this is petty but it's not to me.
