I've encountered a handful of issues while staying at Gull Harbor but Lissette was skillful enough to handle them professionally and thoroughly. There are still a few kinks they need to sort out, which is why I've left a 3-star review. Shout-out to maintenance for being awesome 24/7. This place used to be a mess (still kind of is: smoke smell lingering in hallway, random poop/chocolate ice-cream incident, noisy plumbing, deteriorating internals), but it is MUCH better today considering the renovations happening everyday. Most of the folks that I've interacted with are reserved at first but social after multiple occurrences.

If your looking for some peace and quiet, this is definitely not the place, also I've been waiting for god knows how long for my balcony to be fixed and painted, not too mention work needed inside the apartment as well. HOPEFULLY THIS REVIEW GETS TO THE RIGHT PERSON AND SOME MUCH NEEDED CHANGES CAN BE ATTENDED TOO. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!

First of all there are only two buildings so you're not overwhelmingly surrounded by tons of people, it's a small close not community who all looks out for each other. I made 3 life long friends who I met in the halls of Groton Towers. These neighbors were so kind as we even ended up sharing thanksgiving with one of them who also happened to be a military family who moved here from Ga and didn't know anyone in the area (we are from FL). The doors are all locked so in order for anyone to get in they have to be a resident and have a key. They snow plow everything for free, heating is usually included in rent and the best heating system ever! The sidewalks are always salted and the maintenance staff is super responsive and helpful! When we moved in our walk unit had something small on it broke, but when the maintenance saw it instead of fixing the older unit, they put a brand new remote controlled one in! Karen is a kind and thoughtful landlord, the best of which I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! She always had treats in her office for everyone and was constantly planning activities for the kids for the holidays! My daughter would always bug me every time we came through the front doors to grab snacks and say hi to Karen! We still miss her even after moving a year and a half ago.

I made it specifically clear when they refunded my check because I chose not to rent from them because they wanted to charge me double deposit which is a joke considering I come from Henderson Nevada we don't work that way. I have lived here for 3 years and have had issues with my ceiling leaking, mold in the bathroom due to no fan and roaches in the hallway of our unit. Also, if your new upstairs neighbors have a toddler they are allowed to stomp around all day long. Our other neighbors never stood in one place and stomped as loud as they could for 3 minutes straight. I called the property about it a few times and the rude property manager told me "it's just normal apartment living". No one should pay over $1,800 a month to live somewhere where you can't even take a nap and your dogs are scared from loud bangs upstairs. To top this all of when they changed out our AC at the beginning off the summer they flung gunk all over the walls and our carpet. They also put in an AC that didn't fit in the wall properly and used no foam to seal the gap. So the first time it rained it poured through the gaps which soaked our entire carpet and my boyfriends gaming set up. They will not offer to replace anything that they've damaged. Beware of this place and I highly recommend for you to move anywhere else.

When we moved in, I was attacked by the moving company we hired, and was very stressed. I also got sick and had to have emergency surgery. I was smoking weed, as I have a medical card, and it's a legal substance in this state. The property manager Cheryl and I got off to a terrible start, with her telling me we would be kicked out if I smoked weed, and I could sit down with them and tell them why I smoke weed and maybe she would make an exception, so for 3 weeks I went without my medical weed that I smoked for anxiety. She told me "we have great lawyers, we don't want all that weed stuff here" I was admittedly very excitable during this time, and probably down right rude. We got a letter saying we would be kicked out if I did not stop, and a few weeks later "sorry, you can smoke weed. We weren't aware of the laws" (that had been in place for YEARS at this point) We went two years with no issues. We paid our rent on time every month. We don't even stay here a lot as we travel often. We got a letter on our door on Christmas Eve letting us know we have to move in February. If this isn't retaliation and discrimination, I'm not sure what is. I would be very weary of living here. We are on the first floor and the front door to the building shakes so hard, pictures fall off our walls. And for 2 years, they did nothing. The post office has told me they are not up to code with the way packages get delivered, and things get stolen regularly. Oh and don't complain about office staff in front of the dudes that fly around the properly pretty fast on those golf carts, aren't very polite and take forever to fix things. They're all related and friends. So you also can't complain to the office about work done in your home either. Nepotism at its finest for sure. I guess we're being kicked out because we complained about simple problems and smoke weed, and spoke up about the issues we had about it. Yikes Can't find another reason. Like I said, discrimination and retaliation. I'm sure we will be getting a whopping $0 of our security deposit

If you're looking for an expensive apartment with basic appliances and high fees look no further…read more PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR LEASE. We assumed (being military and moving around the country a lot) that this place did a standard 30 day notification to move. It is 60 days in the lease. If you still decide to live here please don't forget that as they will be no help if you explain yourself and there is no mercy. Oh and its a 35% increase in the extra month(s) you will have to pay if you extend your lease. And once you're done paying that extra 2000$+ you will then receive a nice bill for carpet replacement as normal carpet stains cannot be cleaned with their chemicals. The bill for a 1500 sqft carpet replacement is over 1000$. No negotiations since we've already moved and the apartment is no longer ours to clean even if we wanted to do it ourselves. I've moved 8 times in the past 5 years and I can honestly say that this is by far the greediest rental business I have come across. If you are willing to pay for mediocre amenities, appliances, and customer service then please ignore this review.
