It's part of the Grosse Pointe North H.S. complex and finding the parking entrance can be a little tricky. We were running tight on time and after looping around a bit I was afraid I would be late. Luckily,kids are not exactly the easiest to get to start on time so we were comfortably seating as it was beginning. This is one of the few HS theatres in the area that has a balcony, which is where my friend and my goddaughter's whole crew were seating (I'm pretty sure we bought out the whole section), and the view was great. I wasn't involved in any of the tech for the performance or anything so I can't speak to that but as a guest and audience member we had a lovely time.

They have a lot of opportunities for community involvement and all of the children are invited. They participate in Junefest and the Memorial Day parade. They sell…read morediscounted tickets at the door before the show but you have to be quick because they're limited. I signed up for their email list so I happened to catch an online deal. It's very hard to find street parking in this area so I ended up paying to parking in their lot. FYI, always pre-pay for parking to avoid the hassle. There is a coat rack if you don't want to keep your coat with you. They don't open the theater doors until 1 hour before show time. The theater is small and very intimate, any seat is a good seat no matter where you sit. However, the rows are close together, so if you sit in the inner seats, you'll be making the whole row stand for you if you have to get up. Sit in the end seats or stay seated if you can help it. They do have an intermission so you can get up and stretch your legs. Ladies try to be the 1st to the restroom. There will be a long line during intermission. They have a bar where you can purchase snacks and drinks for a very reasonable price. There are a few restaurants in the area where you can dine before you catch a show. I recommend Gus' fried chicken or The Detroit Shipping company.

They played as I walked down the aisle, at my reception and after they played their two sets, they spun some rad 80's tunes per my request. My vintage themed wedding was complete....I swear Frank Sinatra (Paul King) was crooning as we got our swing on. Guests raved...and as a bride it was one of the highlights to my big day...I wish I could have pulled up a chair and watched in wonderment with my full attention. If you love the Rat Pack, Count Bassie and, Cab Calloway, you have got to check out RSO! If I was in Michigan, I would go to all the battle of the bands and swing events with RSO, and I would be the first one there. Even the non-handicap bathrooms are on the main floor, so I could have used those if necessary. In all my years of living in metro Detroit and my love for live music, I cannot believe I've never seen a show here, and I cannot wait to go back. We sat on the main floor and were able to get a great view of the vocalists and the orchestra. The acoustics sounded amazing and there truly is no bad seat in the house. Parking was a cinch with their parking garage right across the street. The box office was extremely helpful when I couldn't locate my ticket in my email, and answered my general questions. Now, if you are looking for a dinner idea before the show, the Paradise Lounge on the 2nd floor is featuring Abode catering and I highly recommend! The restaurant is elegant but cozy. Isaac was our server and took excellent care of us. Their prefix menu rotates and is absolutely delicious. The house-made sourdough bread was SO delicious, we asked for seconds. The beet salad, which Isaac said he created, was so fresh and the marriage of flavors was perfect. The entrée gives you a choice of a meat or a vegetarian dish, and we both ordered the chicken, which was yummy, and the Panna cotta and cookies were the perfect ending. The Panna cotta had basil oil with fresh fruit and it was a delightful blend of flavors.
