Cold salads available include beet, cucumber, macaroni, carrot and more. They also have some scrumptious looking desserts. Everything is made fresh and goes fast so get there early if you can. Everything has been consistently delicious every time. There are deli meats, cheeses, condiments, butter, yogurt, breads, chocolates, snacks and drinks. On street parking only.

First: THE BEST FRESH MOZZ I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Not exaggerating, it is amazing! The owner told me he makes it fresh there hourly. I believe him. Melt in your mouth goodness. The sandwiches I ordered were fresh & delicious. Some really interesting sandwich combos on the menu. He makes all kind of yummy-looking Italian stalwarts like lasagna, chicken cutlets, hand-formed hamburger patties and the like. Everyone who was working there today were super nice too! This place going into my "Collections." We'll be back, soon & you should go & treat yourself!

It's a specialty food store (cash only) serving up incredible sandwiches, Italian salads, freshly made mozzarella and more. I love the chicken cutlets from here, the antipasto, the mozzarella and tomato salad, the calamari salad. I have still not come across anything I don't like at this place. I've been coming in here since I've lived in Astoria (that's almost 15 years) and every time I visit I find something new to try. Their heroes are delicious - the Italian sub has everything you could want on it, the eggplant parm hero is big enough to feed a small army. Service is friendly even when it's packed. Everyone here is happy to help you. Good food, good vibes.

I bought a bag of frozen potato and cheese varenyk (pirogies), and they were delicious. Once stepping into the store, you are met with large freezers and fridges stuffed to the brim with all things Ukrainian. Many of their dumpling items are in large packages (2-3lbs a pack) and range from $8-$15 per lb depending on the filling. $15 a pound for their lamb and short rib Pierogis. Price-wise, it's very fair! And you can taste to quality and heart they put into these Pierogis. Can't go wrong with any flavor. I got the lamb and it was stuffed with tender lamb pieces, no filler. And they make for great quick meals! I also snagged a box of cabbage rolls stuffed with a pork and rice filling. Simple home-y flavor and better than rolls I've gotten from restaurants. Just reheat and it's ready to go! $15 for 5 large cabbage rolls was a great deal as well! Would get again. The only thing I wouldn't get again is their soup dumplings, as it was a bit difficult to cook and was a little too doughy near the top of the dumpling. Flavor wise, it was delicious and had a nice broth (assuming you didn't pop them. Only 1 didn't pop). But it was a difficult item to cook right in boiling water, like the instructions mention. Perhaps, user error. Every item is sold by weight and labeled after selecting your items. But they're happy to check the weight/explain price before purchasing.

I always cut my coffee with cream and sugar, and All American Coffee tastes GREAT every time. And... It's $1. Now, I'm famous (or infamous??) for spending $4+ on what I call a "silly coffee" - the maple, mocha, peppermint, lavender, gingerbread cookie lattes found at specialty coffee shops. But when I've stayed at the Paper Factory Hotel (across the street) for long periods of time, it NEVER occurs to me to make the 15 min walk to Starbucks, or even the 8 min walk to Coffeed - which I assume is very good. But All American Coffee is not just a good deal - it's a GREAT cup of coffee for only $1. I can even budget for one every day for two weeks. (Sorry Paper Factory - your coffee is not as good as All American. And it's pricier!) Oh but not on Sunday - they are closed Sundays! I've only had one breakfast sandwich - it was the egg and cheese. But it was a great - a corner store b-fast sandwich on a great tasting roll, prepared quickly and er, uh, yummily. When I've been to All American Coffee several days in a row, I walk in and my small coffee with cream and sugar is ALREADY waiting for me! Good morning America!

Once youbfind it, the truck that is, the menu shows prices and an "A" grade inspection sticker. Everyone gets so impressed by a little paper letter from the city, like an "A" means the guy cooking the meat is a saint or something. This whole food setup, it's about as ridiculous and depressing as anything I've ever seen. First off, you walk up to the blue food truck, and the side of it is completely covered with a giant menu listing every combination of meat, rice, and pitas you could ever imagine. Then you get the food you I orderedin a shouting voice, everyone is shouting, it's a total circus. They hand us our two giant skewers souvlaki sticks, somebody had the brilliant idea to stick big, thick slabs of bread right on top of the skewers like stupid little helmets. So there you are, standing on the sidewalk in dirty Jackson Heights holding two sticks of meat while the counterman in front of you is not exactly smiling, dude looks pissed. He's wearing a jacket over a shirt with a giant, goofy panda face on it, looking like a complete weirdo. If you don't get the sticks, you can get these aluminum takeout tins sitting on a tray, crammed full of heavy yellow rice, grilled meat, and pitas all wrapped up in branded paper. We also ordered a big white plate covered in chopped-up chicken, black olives, white sauce. It all smells like char and grease, and it's supposed to be the "best souvlaki" around, but the whole experience just leaves you feeling sort of sad and greasy. It really does.
