Typical Polish deli with many imported items, great selection of meats and cheeses. I'm not a huge fan of their hot foods here but we have only gotten a few things a few times. The soups are great though. We mainly get a sandwich (posted a pic) which is always delicious. Also LOVE getting the dried sausages called kabanos. Our favorite place for them (in Maspeth) closed and these are good but definitely not the best. As for the reviews regarding racist owners ...I'm white so theoretically it's not going to happen to me per the reviews. I've never experienced or seen racist behavior here against others including my boyfriend who's Colombian (so Latino) and he has been going here for many years prior to introducing me to the location. Although he's not experienced it he will agree that the staff is not overly friendly like at some other polish deli's we have gone to. However, it's a deli/store so we aren't expecting the people to be anything other than helpful - which they are. PLEASE NOTE: I don't give 5 stars unless the place is exceptionally over the top as I consider 3 stars average thus 4 stars is above average in my world of reviews. They are scared of serving anyone who isn't white like them. I used to work at staples across the street and whenever we would go in there for hot food they would exchange glances nervously at each other like they have never seen Hispanic, Black or Asians before. It was really annoying because this is America and we see various different types of people everyday and aren't phased because we are all human no matter what color we are but they were. But they made great food in there. Long lines though. read more

A great local deli with some delicious Polish fare. They have pickles in a barrel, a wide selection of Polish meats and cheeses along with baked goods. They sell many Polish products including but not limited to several different types of kielbasa , sausages, ham and pierogi. The ladies behind the counter are quite lovely and very friendly. I would love to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately I cannot. The place is clean, and there is a lot of great food, but the service is horrible. The ladies are very nice, but the owner is very sarcastic and full of himself. He has no problem with leaving a customer that he is taking care of to make sandwiches for someone knows who comes in the store and doesn't want to wait. He got very snippy with me when I complained, and then made it a point to make a sarcastic remark toward in front of others when I returned another day. While I realize that he has his steady customers, and doesn't care about people that casually come in, This is NOT how you treat a customer. I would love to give this place 5 stars, however I would not be doing anyone justice. The place offers fresh food and quality meat. The service is so terrible I was in shock the last few times I was in there. The Polish women who work behind the counter need a major lesson in costumer service! 1; One of the woman was so rude to an elderly lady it made me sick to the stomach. The elderly was speaking very softly and it was hard to hear her dinner order. The woman at the counter was making faces and rolling her eyes and raising her voice at the lady. So painful to watch. 2: one of the women was taking food from the lunch display and was eating it right in front of costumers. I was so grossed out. 3: The women are so nasty with their responses. They put their arms on the hip and act annoyed when a costumer seems undecided,give each other dirty, attitude looks putting it out here that they are pissed off. 4: A costumer tried to modify the order by asking for fewer pierogis, the woman at the counter yelled at her and said we can only sale 4, 8, !!!! really COME ON ! nasty costumer service .
