Great staff, great care. They listen to concerns about your pet and give you treatment options.read more

I had an overall negative experience yesterday at this emergency vet…read more First, we waited for nearly an hour before anyone came in. I understand they were doing a procedure, but not even a vet tech came by. I had to request a dish of water from front desk staff. Second, there were a lot of errors made in documentation. Wrong breed, age, and symptoms. Them marking her as nearly 5 years younger than she is, is a heinous oversight. Third, she was in tremendous pain and didn't tolerate the ultrasound. Instead of offering to sedate her and do it, they just stopped. I now have to pay more, a lot more, for a sedated US Friday to ensure nothing has been overlooked. Forth, there was a lot of ambiguity over what is actually happening; gall bladder, liver, and/or back pain. After being told gall bladder, it was retracted and dx as back pain, which was retracted and then liver. This did NOT breed confidence in the provider. Her "looking things up" on her phone over what's normal and abnormal for the gall bladder degraded this confidence further. Fifth, no dosages for pain medication were annotated on the discharge sheets. I stated I had gabapentin for her at home. Considering the degree of pain she's in, telling me how much to dose her seems slightly important here. Sixth, I called my normal vet before even leaving the parking lot. I was given a different interpretation/analysis of her abnormal labs which were contradictory to what I was told here. After a little research, the truth is far more in line with what my vet said. Seventh, provider stated she'd give me a list of good specialists and make a referral for me. She did not follow through on either. Eighth, no mention was made on the fact that she was just on an anti-inflammatory that can cause liver damage and the timing, as it turned out, aligned. Ninth, No mention of antibiotics for possible infection was mentioned, nor endocrine diseases, yet were annotated on the summary sheet. If she had asked, I would have told her she was worked up 1 year ago for those endocrine diseases. Tenth, I brought her home and found a flea on her. I did call and inform them. Considering I now have to try get a proper diagnosis with other veterinary professionals, I'm wondering what exactly I just paid $880 for. My dog was not adequately cared for and they should have offered to sedate her and perform a thorough US. I will not return to this facility. Everyone was nice, but my dog is still in pain and I still don't know what is actually wrong with her. Unacceptable.

My dog died on Christmas morning at home, so besides losing him I am having to deal with his…read moreremains when vet and others aren't available. I got this number (its now Agape) from the number on my vet's outgoing. I called and someone who is very badly trained called me back. I don't think its his fault. He asked no questions, but when I asked what it would cost and what the procedure was he said $200 and they would pick him up. That was already more than another had said and then it turns out that that's only for pick up, but if I dropped him off that would be $50 and that is over and above the $190 price of cremation, which is already higher. He didn't ask where I was and obviously if he had we could have prevented some of this. I don't know why a Raleigh vet gave their number anyway. I am waiting for a call from the supervisor, but its still Christmas. If he makes sense of what happens I may change this, but if not this is what happened. I was so angry and cried after we got off the phone. But it appears these people are taking advantage of people in cirsis.

My opinion of this business is really emotional. I used them 6 times over last prior years. Bella…read moredied and it was between pay checks. I asked if i could please pay for her cremation when i pick up her ashes. I was told no.Not very nicely. I had to wait untill pay day and by that time she was covered in maggots. It was extremely heart breaking. My family is dead and all I have are my dogs.I was so depressed. As much business as i had given them and knowing where i live. NO !!!. Happy her brother passed several months later in the exact spot in the living room. I used them again. Not so nice. Felt like i was at Alchweitz. Cara passed and i called Carolina Pet Cremation. He was extremely nice. Caring and picked up and returned for a lower price than Faithful Friends. Cara's urn is carved rosewood. Much nicer all around. His is in it. Friends said i should have reported this earlier. I just couldn't. Cara was rescued from Columbus Co.Whiteville NC. I still have 4 and when time comes i will call Carolina Pet Cremation. I asked FF for 2 woodgrain plastic urns to replace the cheap ones they used before. Again NO !!!.Bruno and Dina have white boxes. Carolina Pet. Thanks
