Susie is very loving and responsible. My dogs adore her! We typically book her for live-in stays, but on occasion we also use her for drop in care. I always receive updates with photos and my dogs always appear relaxed and happy. It makes such a difference having the same person care for my pets, and gives me so much peace of mind. Lisa, the owner, is in tune with all her caregivers. Recently, our flight kept getting delayed and we ended up having to ask Susie to stay longer than anticipated. Once we landed, I let Susie know she could leave as we would be home soon. Before we got home I received an email from Lisa asking me to let her know we made it home so as our dogs were not left without care in the event something delayed us further. We had used other sitters before we found Pick of the Litter, and nothing compares to the care and communication we receive from them. I highly recommend!

How would they know what to do if they had never been to my apartment before? Randy (the owner) came to my apartment before the first visit and took copious notes about what to do. He asked that I buy a lock box on Amazon and place it somewhere in the garage of my building with my keys inside for the pet sitter. I'm used to giving my keys to my pet sitters, but this is actually pretty convenient because it means that I can get my key back right away when I come home. There have been a couple pet sitters who have been to my place, but Anna has been there the most. All of them post updates with photos that appear on the app that you can download on your smartphone (you also get an email copy of this as well). I feel like Anna has really gotten to know my kitty and I appreciate that she really seems to enjoy spending time with her. The other convenient thing about this pet sitter is that you can request the dates of your pet sits online and also you can pay for them with credit card afterwards.

We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. He wasn't all that excited to leave. We will continue to bring him for daycare so he can see his new doggie and human friends. Enzo boarding experience was just as great as daycare. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. But once we met John and Shauna, the owners, we quickly realized our fur babies were in the best hands possible. They were not only warm and welcoming but also incredibly professional. If you're a pet owner looking for a true 10-out-of-10 service, this is the company. Our pet sitter, Karen, was nothing short of amazing--so loving, so attentive, and so patient with our very needy black cat, Jax. She didn't just stop by; she stayed, hung out, and genuinely spent time with him. And even though our gray cat, Dolce, didn't come out very much, she was just as incredible in caring for her and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. Wow... just wow! We were floored by her love for animals. THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking such great care of the fur babies we love dearly. I would recommend this company to absolutely anyone. And honestly, anyone leaving anything less than a five-star review? Shame on you! These people love animals and treat your pets as if they were their own. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Backstory: Ironically I believe there's someone named Shauna who operates the website and Yelp(and does a prompt job responding), but John the caretaker is the one who's phone number is associated with the biz, and he is unable to be reached to line up appointments!! (I contacted them a year or two ago when we were considering using them. We didn't end up needing them, but when we tried them last week when we finally did, John did not decide to call us back.) They go out of their way to care for her, leave treats for her to find to keep her occupied when they leave, leave me detailed notes if they notice something...I trust them 100%. (They even clean up old poop in the yard during visits which I was NEVER expecting.) I'm so grateful they treat my pup so well. I know that if something were to happen in an emergency, I could call Margie to help me figure out care for my dog. But much like Big Sexy did, Miss Suzi (aka Lulu aka The Lu) has other ideas about vacations. Her blood work earlier this month showed she needed to begin fluid therapy and injections, frequency to be determined and adjusted as we go. Although I had decided to have a vet tech come to our home on the days treatments are needed (requiring coordination between the tech and the sitter), both Charlie and Jen, our regular sitter, did offer to learn the techniques for sub-Q. But after Suzi's recent seizure, I've been up in the air about whether to increase the number of daily visits or board her, assuming she recovered. Again, they have been super understanding about my waiting until the last minute to determine what is best for her. Well, we're scheduled to leave next week and have decided not to go at all. I'm not comfortable leaving her home alone and 12 days is too long to board her. It came down to what's best for Suzi or what's best for my husband. The cat won...again. There will be another sabbatical in 4 short years, and hopefully I'll still have a husband. There won't be another Lu. But a huge thank you to Charlie and Jen for doing everything possible to accommodate our situation!

On the first (free) get acquainted visit Bo(cat) went right up to her and started rubbing on her shoes and purring. At that point I knew he was going to be in good hands. Betty comes in as scheduled and gives him lots of TLC, double checks his fountain and his feeder, gives him a few treats and cleans his litter. She leaves notes/diary of her time with your pet and notes anything of concern or potential interest. She will also pick up your mail, water plants and adjust your window shades and turn on lights if requested. A daily visit is $22. While my Bo travels well, I know he is more cozy at home on his "tower of power", than living out of a suitcase with me.

Previously, we had been using pet…read moresitters of the "drive by" variety who came to the house, fed the dog, and 5 minutes later were gone. I always worried about leaving town and could not wait to get home even though our neighbors would stop in to check on our dog while we were away. Not any more now that we can count on Sabrina. From the very beginning when she sends you the questionnaire that includes all sorts of detailed questions so that nothing will be missing in case of need to the text message she requests and responds to once you've arrived home we know that leaving our dog in her care is something we can do without the slightest concern. When we are out of town she visits twice per day, walking Chili our lab/pit girl, and even taking her to the dog park! We joke that Chili likes it when we go out of town because she enjoys her visits from Sabrina so much! Sabrina is very knowledgeable about dogs as well. When Chili developed a strange skin problem that was not responding to anything from the vet Sabrina recommended adding an item from the kitchen pantry to Chili's diet and now about 2 months later the skin problem is gone. Sabrina is absolutely reliable, extremely organized and professional, very responsive to emails and texts, and just in general is an uncommon and highly valuable resource. I just don't encounter many people out there in the world who are as reliable and committed to their work as Sabrina. When we return home from a 2+ week vacation Chili is calm and happy. Not sure what else we could hope for...other than to be able to take Chili with us everywhere. In the meantime, Sabrina is a terrific resource, and we are very thankful to have found her.
